I remember when I first got saved, almost 20 years ago now. One of the first things I bought was a purity ring—I wanted to wear it with pride as a symbol of my promise to God that I would remain sexually pure until marriage.

But that road wasn't easy. You see, pornography, masturbation, and sexual immorality are no respecter of person or gender—when we open a door for the enemy to come in, he will come in. If you've ever struggled with any of these things (or anything else), you're not alone.

The thing I love about this book is that both Richard and Brittany share their thoughts, scriptures, and experiences with us—it's helped me see that my view on purity has been too narrow: it's not just about sex! There are many more aspects to purity than just avoiding physical intimacy before marriage.



I have never desired purity more than I have now.

Through this book, I’ve gained a greater understanding of the importance of being pure in heart.

Jesus says, “Blessed are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage and godly character], for they will see God.” And as I go through this book, I am gaining a greater understanding of what it means to be pure in heart.

This book not only challenged me to be pure, but it also helped me understand what purity is and how to get there. This book is a must-read for Christians & anyone else who wants to be pure in heart.

I highly recommend this book because it will help you see God more clearly and experience His presence more fully, when we fully understand the whole meaning of purity.

Don't be misled by the title. This is not " just some Christian book about no sex before marriage." While the value of sexual purity is discussed, this book also goes deep into addressing issues of the heart such as dealing with past pain, unforgiveness, hidden idols, bitterness, toxic friendships, toxic thoughts etc. The idea is to purify your heart from all these contaminations so you can be right before the Lord , walk in his freedom and healing and live the life he desires for us. We are not meant to live life weighed down by all these issues. What we don't address on the inside will manifest in our outward actions and dictate the direction of our lives! The condition of our hearts is so very important because everything we do flows from it! This is not a book you read just once. It s a book you will probably go back to over and over and different chapters may speak to you during different seasons of life. So glad to own a copy of this book! It is convicting and powerful and is helping me on my journey of addressing my own emotional baggage.

Today, many people fight against the idea of purity because of how it has been abused and misused to shame people. However, this book sets the balance. Purity is a matter of the heart, not mere outward behavior and sexual abstinence. In fact, this book has only one chapter on sex because purity isn't just about sex. And the fact that both the authors come from sexually broken pasts helps highlight that even if mistakes are made, one needs only to turn to the LORD. He empowers our hearts with His purity.

This book is so important that if I had a reason to require reading from anyone, this would be on my required reading list.

Also, I know I read this scripture many times, but this book helped get this scripture written on my heart: "How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your Word" (Psalm 119:9).

This is a good book from a couple with a powerful testimony. Brittani takes back the word “purity” and claims it over every area, not just our bodies. Her past as a porn star lead her to realize how much God’s way was better than anything she ever thought she wanted. She was freed from evil and convicted by the Word, and now testified to thousands her story and how to have a close relationship with God. How amazing is that? Her and her now husband, Richard, co-authored this book to guide us all in areas to purify our hearts and minds. I know this convicted me in ways I’m not even fully sure I’m ready for.

wowwwww. Everyone needs to read this book. It is packed full of so much wisdom. I did not go two pages without highlighting something. This book is for people who have been walking with Jesus for years and those who are just starting out.

It's a great book with a grace-filled message to all people. In this book you'd find genuiness, and faithfulness to the gospel— the pursuit of purity is pursuing more of Christ and his word. I found it to be a great blessing and hope to read many more times.

Such a good book for a new Christian looking for a practical guide to purity. The world throws out so many messages about it and it all gets so confusing but this book breaks it down and backs it up with scripture.

This was such an encouraging and powerful book. Brittni and Richard include incredible analogies that are easy to relate to and convicting. The book is filled with one-liners that will convict you left right and centre. I love that it is Biblically based and always brought back to the Word of God. Be encouraged to pursue purity and guard your heart above all else. I cannot recommend this book highly enough! It’s a book for everyone!!
