Ava. My warrior. Our demons are silent when we’re together.
I’m Drew Rivers, a damaged, angry man. My only joy in life is smashing faces in the MMA cage until an innocent woman lights up my entire universe with her smile.
Ava doesn’t blame me for failing her the night of her attack. She befriends me. Teaches me how to enjoy simple pleasures, shows me kindness—and I fall hard.
I’m forced to keep my feelings hidden because Ava has sworn off men. It’s okay. I don’t need more than her friendship. All I need is her.
After adversaries wreak havoc in Knight’s Legion territory, I finally get what I’ve always wanted: Ava’s love.
My happiness is fleeting when met with the greatest fight of my life. It may be a battle I lose. Can Ava and I conquer the enemy to have a future together?

Be still my heart! Naomi you have done it again! All the emotions. I have to admit I’ve been waiting for Ava and Ire’s story, and wow, did you do them justice. Ava, little warrior has been through so much but we get to see her heal with the love and support of Ire, but I also LOVED that Naomi had Ava find her inner strength as well! Shes going to make a great member of the badass old lady club! (There’s a spin off series 😂) Ire and Ava compliment each other so perfectly this really is a true love story. Havoc hits the knights, and ire and Ava’s happiness and love is pushed and tested, Naomi takes you through this whirlwind of emotion so effortlessly as she always does and leaves you wanting more and more of this series. I love that the KLMC world is building and we got some small little glimpses of Karma and Cobra!! These two are going to be fire! Yes I’m slightly obsessed! 😱 Art and Sugar!!! Oh my! I am looking forward to the steam of this couple! So many glimpses in this book for the KLMC world, which I loved that Naomi wrote into this one. So much still to come
Starting 2022 out strong…and SAUCY! Whew, all of the KLMC books have been spicy. But dannnnnng Naomi! This one was full of steamy scenes and spicy moments.
Ire wasn’t really on my radar when I first started the Knights Legion books. He was quiet and reserved, until…Ava. I loved how he was there for her during her time of healing. However she would let him be, he was there.
Ava had a lot of things to heal from, and she found her strength to grow and conquer her fears. Instead of letting them rule her life. Ire was definitely a big part in her healing process and although we didn’t get much more than glimpses of it, their story is beautiful and heartbreaking.
Their story took an interesting turn, one I was not at all prepared for, but I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it. It’s inspiring and loving.
I can’t wait to see what the boys of KLMC will do next!
What a great start to 2022 reading this was!!!! Loved reading about Ava and Ire and how he cared so much for her he changed his ways and how strong she was. Loved this love story of them both. Great to see glimpses of other klmc members stories to come , cant wait !!! and loved the epilogue xx .All in all it makes a great read and makes me want to reread all the books again xxxx
I love the author’s writing style, it’s fast paced and engaging while also making sure to pay attention to small details and ongoing connections between books in the series. The author has an occasional chapter told from the POV of another character besides the hero and heroine and also spends a little time revisiting past characters and laying the groundwork for future stories. It’s an amazing ability to write with that much depth so that it feels like readers are in an entire world that’s bigger than this single story, while having the current plot line flow at a good pace. Personally this book was too vanilla and nice for me. Ava in her innocence was just a tad annoying with her sweetness. Ire was written so well that you could feel his love and dedication to Ava, though I wish we’d gotten to see more of the reason and anger behind Ire’s road name. Both Ire and Ava lack family via blood relatives in their lives, instead they find family in the MC. The Knight’s Legion MC is a wonderful example of choosing one’s family vs. having it defined by a blood connection. I think that’s a highly desired characteristic of MC romance novels, for the MC to feel like or be developing into a family. There’s plenty of well developed drama in this book to keep readers engaged and leads for the next book. I’m truly dying for both Sugar and Karma’s books.
I've been looking forward to Ire and Ava's story, and I am thrilled to pieces with how smoothly their friendship and deep regard for one another transitioned into a satisfying, and fulfilling love.
Through devastating circumstances, both of these lead characters found one another, and were able to overcome painful memories from both childhood, and physical trauma. I appreciated the sensitivity given to Ava's character as a victim, but also the recognition that she was afforded when she was allowed to heal, and become a warrior. Themes of perseverance, and hope are so important in their story.
So many interesting side-tales were delved into within our familiar cast of characters, and teased throughout their arc,and I greatly anticipate seeing where they all lead.
**Especially after that Epilogue!!🤯😳**
Overall, this book met,if not exceeded my expectations, and I am thoroughly intrigued to see how each of the significant moments contained in this story will interweave, and prove relevant in future installments of the lives of our KLMC family.
Naomi Porter what have you done! Ire is simply AMAZING! You've put pen to paper and created characters that come to life and brings your readers into their stories.. After all that Ava has suffered she couldn't possibly ask for anyone better than Ire to help her heal, to protect her, to destroy any threat to her or to love her. They're everything to each other and they make sure to show and tell each other every day just what they mean to each other. This book is a fantastic way to start the new year!
And.... Just like that 2022 has kicked off with another amazing read from Naomi Porter.
I flippin love this MC Chapter and all of its broody, sexy, alpha and often hilarious members. When I knew Ire and Ava were getting a story I couldn't wait. Ava went through something truly traumatic, and in the aftermath, Ava and Ire form a much needed mutually beneficial friendship. As they spend more time together a slow burn ignites between them. But will it become a Wildfire? Or will the clubs enemies ruin their chance at a HEA? Damn I adored the bond these two emotionally and physically scarred souls shared. The understanding, the protectiveness, the sweetness, the loyalty, the swoon, the steam, and just simply the pure bone deep love they shared was everything. They took me on one heck of an emotional, suspenseful and action filled journey that ached my heart, had my gasping, made me swoon, and left me with a warmed heart and desperate for more of this series. Naomi Porter has perfected dropping some well placed easter eggs through out her stories, and this book was no exception. With a few side stories introduced and teased (I mean hello Epilogue) I can't wait for Book #8
Beautifully written. Absolutely loved Ire’s book. So many different emotions come with reading this story. Ire’s and his little warrior Ava’s heartfelt ride together is so touching. He’s hard arse personality disappears when they are together but only for her and her meek and mild timid self is overshadowed by a strong, sexy wild warrior as she discovers the wonders and joy of sharing herself with him. The epilogue was just what I needed to finish off their beautiful story. 100% recommend this book to everyone ❤️
Love being on @naomiporterauthor ARC team as her Knight’s Legion MC series is deliciously addictive.
Ire had been dealing with the guilt of not being able to save Ava from a horrific assault that happened earlier in the series. To compensate, he’s been helping her around the house and generally being there for her. Pretty soon, Ire finds himself falling hard and fast for the blonde beauty. The only problem is, after her assault, Ava is understandably wary of men and doesn’t see herself ever having a physical relationship with them.
I loved Ire’s devotion to Ava, to the point of becoming celibate for her even though he knew the chances of being with her was slim to none. Ava was a strong character despite what happened to her. She started coming out of her shell more on Ire’s encouragement and started to participate more in life. She also fell heavily for Ire but didn’t want to ruin their friendship by admitting her feelings.
There is a twist in their love story that happens after they become a couple. I was super worried that Ire would eff up all his hard work in winning Ava over.
At the background is MC drama that takes the men away from their women and into dangerous circumstances. I also really like that @naomiporterauthor gives POV on previous couples as well as upcoming ones (hellllooooo Sugar and Karma
I've been waiting for this book for a few weeks now and you can't comprehend the way I was feeling when I saw this book waiting for me on my kindle. I've been reading this series for a while now and let me say... This series has become one of my favorite. Naomi Porter knows what she's doing. Each book is special in its own way and you can feel a warm feeling inside your chest while reading good each book. Each story will hook you up and you won't take be able to stop. Illicit Ire is her latest release and it's the seventh book from the Knight's Legion MC series. Guys, each book is a standalone but you really should read this series from the beginning. Trust me. This new book explores the lives of Ire and Ava. Ire is one of the brothers from the Knight's Legion MC. He's not an easy and chirp guy, on the contrary, he's an angry man that can only find a bit of solace in the cage. He's an MMA fighter... It's in his blood. Well, when a beautiful woman enters his life, he started questioning his choices and after she suffers a brutal attack, he only wants to protect her. Ava suffered the unthinkable at the hands of a deranged man. She's haunted by a lot of demons and that takes time to overcome. She has sworn off men, she can't even think of a relationship... But being near Ire... Oh boy... This book... This book stole my heart. Stellar plot, very well written, super engaging, and intense. This book was so spectacular that once I started to read it, I couldn't put it down. It was one good chapter after the other that my heart almost burst. These characters were perfect for each other and it was easy to fall in love with them. Their pain was so brutal that it tore my heart in two. It was amazing to see how they evolved, it was amazing to witness. And guys... The hot stuff was so darn good. Just see for yourself. It was amazing to keep having glimpses from the other characters of this series. It made me want to start reading this series all over again. Great story Naomi, like always. After that chapter about Sugar, I can't wait to read the entire book. Please hurry up. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Dodge will always be my favorite brother, but I think Ire comes a close second. It was touch and go there for awhile to see who would win the top spot.
Ire feels guilty that on the night the Bullet was attacked, he wasn't able to save the young waitress working. His guilt towards her situation soon morphs into an obsession to make sure she's protected at all costs. The only problem is that Ire catches feelings, and Ava is only offering friendship. It's the worst kept secret in the MC. Everyone knows that there's something going on, but neither Ire or Ava make any moves to upset their status quo. When an enemy gets retaliation against the KLMC, they're going to realize that time is even shorter than they can imagine.
I know that I would have rated this book 5 stars anyway, as it's that good. However, there's something that's bothering me that I feel needs to be addressed. I would suspect that if you took Ire and Ava's story, it would only be 50-75 percent of the actual book. The other 25-50 is different character's points of view that advance their own stories.
To Explain: In Defiant Dodge, Justin and Storm each had a chapter, but their opinions were in line with story. For example, in Storm's chapter, he discusses Dodge and Emilee's situation with Angel. Now, in Illicit Ire, those points of view are actually foreshadowing those character's stories. Their chapters have nothing to do with Ire and Ava.
Like I mentioned, I would have rated this 5 stars anyway, but it makes me wonder if part of my rating is because of this new format. It also makes me think about the first couple of books. If this new style had been utilized, would that have lifted them all to 5 stars? I know I was unfair to Boxer and Snow. If there had been more glimpses of Dodge and Emilee, would I have loved it? Just a little food for thought, as it's not a bad thing, just different.
So I adored Ire aka Drew and Ava! I loved that even though he was not responsible for what happened to Ava he took responsibility for her feeling safe and cared for! I loved that bc he couldn't protect her ( he was knocked out way before anything bad happened to her leaving him not responsible) then he took it upon himself to protect her, love her and help her feel in control, take self defense classes and allow her to heal, feel safe around men again! I loved the innocence Ava still had even after being robbed of her innocence in the most horrific way imaginable! Great continued storyline and characters! Now why I felt frustrated!!! The storyline is moving right along and bam it just ends, epilogue of 15 yrs in future!!! What?!?! Literally I was expecting to turn the page to continue reading and shockingly there wasn't a next page! The story did not get Simi wrapped up nor did I feel even remotely satisfied with it ending so abruptly! This is only the second book in this series that's left me feeling bad about it so ill continue on to Sugars story. However if its another disappointment ill step away from the series again and possibly come back at a later date. ✌
Illicit Ire focuses finally on Ire and Ava. We’ve seen something brewing between them for a while now. From the small details we’ve been given prior it looked like Ire’s feeling for Ava were unrequited. However that is not the case!
This book dives right in. Ire is still spending all his time with Ava, desperately trying not to mess things up. Ava is finally feeling ready to move on with someone as long as it’s Ire. When trouble comes along to the club they are both forced to admit their feelings for each other before it’s too late.
Here comes the drama! I won’t ruin it for you guys but there’s trouble in paradise 😉
I thought this book was super cute. It was fast paced and very much swoon worthy. I’ve enjoyed this series because I love how Naomi blends all the characters together and how the characters come to life. KLMC is a family and you feel that when you’re reading. I wouldn’t call this my favorite book but I did enjoy it. I like how Ava and Ire were both able to overcome their trauma and be what each other needed.
I can already tell that something is brewing! I’ll be honest I’m super excited for Sugar and Arts book. I love an Age gap romance so I may have been distracted by those chapters.
Another great addition! Thank you so much Naomi for this ARC!
Wow... This is absolutely by far my favorite power couple that have overcome so much to be together, there is so much that Drew & Ava have to go through to be together, because she has to learn to love & trust and not be afraid of her past or her future.
Drew just has an amazing personality and love and compassion that is unmeasurable he loves hard, and he gives love the Ava and all that he has. He is hard when he needs to be and can town down his rough edges when it comes to Ava.
Ava has overcome something most others couldn't survive. She lost so much in her attack, but she learns to overcome everything and be strong and fearless. The author outdid themselves with this emotional rollercoaster read full of love, hate, revenge, suffering and compassion. The charters show us love can and will outshine the worst situations.
I have become a huge fan of this author with her writing style and the stories she puts out there for me to grab a hold of and devour. Ire and Ava’s story was filled with patience, devotion and love. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t all sunshine and roses. It was actually the opposite with everything that Ava had to endure and to be able to come back a stronger woman with the help of Ire who changed for the better for the woman he had fallen for.
I don’t want to give nothing away so let me just say this…this is a one-click book that you won’t be able to put down. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Porter has coming next!!
Drew loves Ava from afar, feeling like he isn't good enough for her, that she will never love a man like him.
Drew gives Ava everything she needs. A friend. A confident. A supporter. A defender. Never one to push her too far. His love for her grows with each passing day.
Ava has not had it easy. Experiencing something no one should ever have to. Drew has been with her every step of the way through thick and thin.
What Drew doesn't know is Ava loves him just as much. What happens when two people who love each other more than anything come together?
Oh Ire Where can I find you? Ire was the perfect mix of bad boy biker and swoon worthy man. Ava was sweet and sassy. I love how the two of them are perfect for each other. Ire was so patient with Ava after her incident, and in turn we got to see just how much Ava had grown when it became her turn to be patient. I love how through everything she never thought if running, but fought for something she never thought she would ever want. All in all Illicit Ire was more sweet than anything. The other books in the series are a little bit darker than this one. Does that take away from Ire and Ava's story? No it does not. I just want to say the dark factor just is not written in these pages. I can't wait for the next in the series.
As usual with Naomi Porter and her books, I couldnt put it down. Ava's story was always going to be a hard one to write and I went into this ARC with trepidation, hoping and praying it was done with patience and delicacy. I dont know why I was worried!!! This story is perfection despite previous events. It wasn't rushed or far fetched and completley believable unlike some books I've read previously involving this subject matter. The storyline is constant with no boredom and the drama flows nicely and not too over the top. I love these two together, but if honest I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for Cobra's story!!! I loved the little snippet we got in the last book and the ones we got in this book only ramped up my impatience for it!!! Sugar and Art is next I believe and is a book not to be missed!!!!
A great start to 2022 I just devoured this book from start to finish I could not put it down the way Naomi writes makes you feel every emotion the characters go through I was hooked from the start it’s so easy to visualise the scenes it makes u wanna cry with them and laugh with them. And the lil tidbits on the upcoming couples OMG I can’t wait. Another captivating story thanks to Naomi
I am over the moon for this couple, as some of us know, Ava went through something horrific. It took patience, love and acceptance to move forward, with Ire by her side she became the fierce woman that they know she is. Ava knew having a Knight's Legion by her side is a risk worth taking, I love this author's work, she doesn't disappoint at all, this is an amazing series and definitely worth more than five stars💀🖤💀
Book seven in the Knight's Legion MC. No words can describe the roller coaster of emotions in this book. Ava went through a painful experience. Her innocent was stolen from her. She has hide behind close door till Drew walked into her life . Drew has called head over hills over Ava. He knows her past and tries to tech her to protect herself. He will give anything for her. When something goes wrong and Ava is lost again. Drew bring her back. His love for her has no boundaries. Bring tissues you’ll need them .
Just when I think I’ve found my favorite character the next book is released and I’m wrong! Naomi’s writing is amazing and transports you in to the world of KLMC. Drew and Ava overcome there own concerns after one tragedy and finally come together when the unthinkable happens. But they don’t give up on one another and achieve their HEA!
I voluntarily read this book as an ARC, and hello sexy Ire 🤤🤤🤤 as with all the hunky men of KLMC Ire is no different with wanting to protect what is ‘his’ and Ava Marie is his…….Ire has been in love Ava for a while but is scared that she won’t feel the same so tries to just be her friend…….Ava loves Ire but what man, especially a hunky biker would want a ‘damaged’ woman like me……..until a shoot out at the gym has them confiding they’re love to each other, but as with all books things get a lot bumpier……this is a MUST read 🥵🥵🥵
Illicit Ire is book seven in the Knight's Legion MC and is Ire and Ava's story. With each book that I read, the better this series gets. Ire won't admit it but he may be tough on the outside but around ava he's a giant marshmallow. Their story was action packed with some twists and turns and I can't wait to see what's next.
Naomi upped her game with this one. She tackled some major issues from a unique angle and brought out so much emotion in Ava and Ire’s story. Each story in this series has shown incredible growth by Naomi. I am excited for Sugar’s story!
The series keeps getting better and better with each story we get!!
And I loved everything that was happening in Ire and Ava’s story background. …. I mean, Art and Sugar 😳 Cobra and Karma 😏 and I’m really hoping we’ll get Ryder and Willow’s story!!!!!!
What a satisfying book - was so happy for Drew 'Ire' and Ava - they finally got a hold of their friendship and set it in the right orbit - things Ava recovered from, with so much kindness and the calming tenderness of Ire, she was starting to feel normal, but shy about voicing her affections to Ire. Things take a turn, and a true test of their growing relationship ensues. Things happen, and they have to 'start' over, but this time, Ava feels empowered and darn it, she will have her way.
Reading a new Knights Legion book always feel like coming home. I love these characters and the world that Naomi has created.
If you're up to date with the series (to fully enjoy these books reading in order is a must!) then you know how much Ire loves Ava and how he's worked hard to be the man she deserves. He's content to just be the friend and protector she needs even though he's aching for so much more. I loved being in his head and feeling that undying devotion to her.
Ava, while still a little broken, is working hard to put her shattered pieces back together. There were a few times in the book I thought she would completely fall apart but was pleasantly surprised at how she saved herself using the strength Ire showed her she still possessed.
Even though this book isn't a slow burn (when we start they have already developed a deep friendship and both are ready for a romantic one), I did appreciate how both characters talked about the emotional places they were in right after Ava's attack. It showed just how far they have come and the hard work each put in to move past that horrible day.
I enjoyed getting to see some action with the MC that was completely separate from the couple. There is an ongoing storyline that added more depth to their world and opens so many doors for future books!
This is a fantastic story from start to finish, Ire and Ava are a wonderful couple, I love how determined Ava is to help Ire overcome his insecuritues and know the love they have can only get stronger.
