Hi, I’m Victor—a Chilean-American author with Basque roots, living near Seattle, Washington. I grew up on the Olympic Peninsula but eventually made my way to Washington State University. Before that, I studied computer science at NUR University. At WSU, I graduated in Sociology and later went to graduate school, where I earned a degree in American Studies. My thesis in American Studies focused on the Spontaneous Women’s Movements in Chile. WSU left a big impact on me. After finishing my studies, I even got the chance to teach there, sharing what I’d learned with hundreds of students. I also taught online courses for UC Irvine and the University of Kansas, creating content and mentoring students, which I found incredibly rewarding.

My mom, Carmen, has been a huge inspiration in my life. Back in the ‘70s, during Allende’s presidency in Chile, she led an incredible march—15,000 miners, workers, and their families—fighting for fair wages and benefits. She joined forces with other unions, sparking a powerful movement for change in Chile. That kind of determination and leadership? It’s something I’ve always admired and try to carry into my own work.

These days, I’m focused on writing books and getting them out into the world. Some of my work has been published by major publishers like Penguin Random House CALIGRAMA and Círculo Rojo, and you can find it on Amazon, Casa del Libro, or Corte Inglés in Spain. Writing has become a huge part of who I am.

On the tech side, I’m a PeopleSoft Developer now, spending my time solving problems and refining systems. I really enjoy the challenge. My computer science background and teaching experience fit perfectly for this work. And whenever I can, I jump back into teaching—it’s something I’m passionate about. It keeps me learning, growing, and staying connected to what matters most.
