Reading for the Camera
April (screen name: UntouchedLibrarian) and Jonathan (ElectricJay20) make for some dirty fun reading. I like this take on a cam girl. April is kind and deceptively... innocent is not the right word. Yes, technically she is but her job is a bit naughty, even if above board.
I love Jonathan's reaction when he discovers April's setup. It leads to some chuckles and realizing his roommate... Well, I won't give that away.
Speaking of her father, it is such a shame that his priorities aren't where they should be. April's stepmom is... very unlikable. I'll just leave it at that. 🙄🙃😤

That's what April was doing and she enjoyed it because it helped with school since her father and stepmother aren't paying and her step mom is a BIG BISH!! Now she's renting a room with Johnathan a guy who already feels overprotective of her and when he finds out her tiny secert he's going to subscribe and make sure shes safe. His daddy instincts are coming out and he shall protect her even from her own family. I wish there was more steam in this..

I am pretty sure this was the first Margot Scott I’ve read and holy moly! This was not just smut! The story was sweet, empowering and so compelling! Perfect amount of Daddy Kink without feeling weird. I threw myself into the deep end with daddy kink reading Jade West so maybe just know my sensitivity to this issue can take varying degrees of smut.
Margot will be my new palette cleanser when I have a book hangover. I never thought novellas would be so much fun but I’m glad I figured it out.

four stars! *:･ﾟ✧ while the cover and title are… questionable, the content of the story was definitely not! this has some of my favorite things; plus size female lead, age gap romance, a little bit of ‘daddy’ play goin on 🤪 and i loved every second of it, especially the added cam girl aspect. that’s slowly becoming a favorite trope of mine, me thinks! anyways, this was really short and really sweet, and the spice was pretty good as well! definitely a fun little pick me up!

Our drool-worthy swoonylicious 45 (ish)-year old Hero Jonathan is a private contractor electrician. He is a giant of a man at 6' 8" and earns looks everywhere he goes. He has a tough exterior with a protective streak along with a swoony heart of gold. OMG! He is so sexy, swoony and sizzling hot.
Jonathan is in the process of rehabbing the house he bought. The house is too big for only him and since he hasn't had any luck in the relationship department he's decided to flip it and hopefully double his money.
Jonathan's a loner and likes his privacy. That is until someone unexpected knocks on his door and he comes face to face with our Heroine April, the brown eyed beauty who steals his heart.
April is such a refreshing character and one I found so relatable. I FLOVED HER! She's a college student who had to leave home after a dispute with her stepmother Eloise. She was
also cut off financially, only two months before classes starts. April finds herself in a desperate situation.
April is an endearing, confident (most of the time), lovable curvy beauty who is finding herself in need of a place to stay. She knocks on Jonathan's door answering an ad for a room to rent. After an awkward introduction and a mix-up, April moves in the following morning. April is a lot younger than Johnathan. Both feel an instant connection but neither say anything about it.
April both works and goes to school online. She needs her own privacy. Especially for her online job. Since Jonathan works on rehabbing the home and sleeps on the first floor, April has the second floor all to herself. What does April do for work? I'm not telling but it's priceless and it pays the bills. It's a unique line of work I'll tell you that. It will have you thinking "oh man, why didn't I think of doing something like that?!" as well as "I should start my own business doing the same dang thing." Trust me. Every reader will love it. She keeps what she does for work a secret. Her parents found out. That's why she now lives in a new place.
As time goes on, feelings between April and Johnathan grow but still they don't tell each other how they feel.
Enter Jay. A customer of April's online business. He's a smooth dirty talker with a silver tongue and I couldn't get enough of him.. They speak every day online and their feelings for each other grow at a rapid pace. Holy hottie! His dirty talking had me wanting to climb him like a giant willow tree!!
Two hotties, one woman. Jay worships her online, while Johnathan worships her in private, to himself. She fantasizes about them both. What if she had to choose? Who would I pick? I want them both! But that's me.
What happens when the truth is exposed. When that happens, who will April choose? Turns out that decision is made for her!
Stepmother Eloise is brutal!! She has a constant stick up her... well, you know. That stick must be filled with venum because she spews hate in April's face every chance she gets because of her weight and her work. Her hurtful words broke my heart. My jaw hit the floor a few times as a result of that hate.
I wanted to drop kick her. Or at the very least grab her by the throat, put her in a choke hold and keep squeezing. She was a nasty, controlling, selfish, and verbally abusive bully with nothing but contempt for her stepdaughter. I loved hating her. Some of the things she said to April had me breathing fire, wanting to snuff the life right out of her toxic mouth.
Then there's her father Douglas. Oh daddy!! Oh no!! He is nothing but a gutless, spineless weenie, never sticking up for April, even when she was given an ultimatum by Eloise without discussing it with him first. I knew right then he was worse than Eloise. He didn't protect his child like a dad should. He won't be making father of the year any time soon.
Here are some of my favorites.
Favorite line: “Reading is probably my favorite thing to do in the whole world ...”
Favorite part of the story: A certain dinner get together! EPIC!
My final thoughts:
I really loved this story. The uniqueness of it. Every woman can relate to a certain subject matter written throughout the pages of this book pertaining to hurtful judgment of someone's appearance. In part, Daddy Bod is a realistic and honest look on how hurtful prejudice against someone's outward appearance can affect you.
But that's only a small part of what this story is all about. It's about finding your happiness, yourself and your soulmate. Embracing who you are, and loving your curves, loving yourself which the heroine does. She made me proud with her confidence. Her men made me proud too.. Turns out, getting kicked out was the best thing that happened to April.
In my opinion, "beauty is only skin deep" most definitely applies to Eloise. To me, she was ugly all over. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Johnathan, Jay and April are proof of that.
For a very short read, it packs a mighty 5-STAR punch. It left me happy, smiling, and feeling good at the end. That’s what reading is all about. As far as I'm concerned, Daddy Bod by Margot Scott IS beauty and beauty is soul deep.

Well written, not nearly as smutty as I'd have liked it to be.
April (19, virgin) responds to an ad for a room-for-rent, after her dad and evil step-mother kick her out since they don't approve of the way she makes her money. Let Me Tell You A Story
I have loved the Dad Bod series, and this happens to be one of the books I've been the most excited about. So of course it is the morning of it's release and I've already polished off this yummy story from Margot.
As I've come to expect from Margot, this book was packed full of naughty age gap, Daddy kink, and an oh so delightful taboo storyline too. (Oh and I suppose you could also say a touch of voyeurism as well ;) )
So if those things tickle your fancy when you are looking for a quick read to get lost in, I highly recommend this one!

Sweet and kinky age gap romance with daddy kink 🥵
~April is being kicked out by her step mother for being a cam girl and her father is allowing it. All well, she knows she deserves better and is going to keep doing what she’s doing because she enjoys it. Finding a place to stay is one thing, she never expected this mountain of a man. Jonathan is used to people staring due to his figure. He’s glad she’s not one of them. Even though he knows he doesn’t have a chance with her.~
Honestly loved these two and their chemistry. I adore Jonathan so much, especially after the encounter with April’s father. They may have a large age gap but they’re so in sync and connected.

While working on a fixer upper to flip, Jonathan is surprised when April shows up on his doorstep with an old newspaper ad, looking to rent a room.
April is desperate and this room for rent is her last stop in finding affordable living space after her dad and step mom kick her out.
She's down on her luck. He's feeling protective of her. A roomie situation that quickly becomes more.
~ My Thoughts ~
This was a slow burn romance with a lot of sweet and heated moments between the MCs. It's not super fast paced, as both MCs start as friendly which leads to a solid friendship that evolves into a deep romantic love. I loved that these two get to know each other outside the bedroom before getting hot and heavy with each other.
April working as a conservative (is that even a thing?) cam girl was outside my comfort zone and I'm not a fan of love triangles (even if it turned out Jonathan and ElectricJay are one and the same) but overall, things fell into place for them and it worked for their unique story. The Daddy kink was hot!
On a side note, I loved the way April and Jonathan put her parents in their place. It was so satisfying to see them actually fight back. April's stepmom was the worst kind of jealous harpy and her dad! Such a spineless disappointment. Glad she got out of that toxic situation and that she and Jonathan found each other :)

April is kicked out of her parents home when her stepmother finds out she has been doing live cam sessions to pay for school after she was cut off financially by her stepmother for not loosing weight. Her dad is a looser for not standing up to his wife for his daughter. Desperately in need of a place she finds an old advert for a room to rent and finds Jonathan the new owner of the house. Enamored by her he rents her a room. He almost immediately finds out about her cam sessions and creates an identity on the site and pays for private sessions. As the months go by she falls for her online guy while wishing it were Jonathan and he believes this is the only way he can have her. When her nasty stepmother outs her to Jonathan the truth comes out and they find out they both want each other. I really enjoyed this daddy kink story but I wanted them to have more real world time. Much of the story is told by them chatting together online.

However, he didn't place the ad for the room for rent, but he can't turn her away. April is happy now that she has a place and starts planning for her future. Jonathon stumbles upon what April does for a living by accident but it doesn't change how he feels for her. When her parents show up and her stepmother starts talking down about her Jonathon takes up for April. Will April give Jonathon a chance at her heart?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A great little story about a 19 year old girl and a middle aged man (think big age gap) falling in love. Great storyline, which didn't fall short despite being super short. If this was a longer book I'd imagine a better build up and more great scenes but to be honest it was just right being short and sweet and a lil bit spicy.
My first time reading from this author but I loved the writing so will definitely read more from her!

I loved this short, steamy read! The story was so good and so were all the characters. It’s close proximity and since I love neighbor romances this one was super similar to that except they are in the same house. I also love a curvy heroine and not only that but he is a big guy which I’m a sucker for. I loved the spice to story ratio! The Daddy/Little girl play was hot. The age gap was hot. It was just a great novella❤️

I thought that this was a really good book. I really liked April and Jonathan together. The connection and chemistry between these two is soul deep. There is a little bit of drama but it's said drama that pushes Jonathan and April together. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Margot as a wonderful author.

When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I cannot wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
