This omnibus collects three separate trades with some bonus material. The best is the first trade Lawnmaggedon, which I'd actually just read separately not too long ago. It does a good job of laying out the concept with decent protagonists and a focus on the plants and zombies, being both silly and action packed. The second trade, Timepocalypse, jettisons anything resembling a coherent story in favor of basically a series of sketches of plants and zombies in different time periods, most of which don't pay off as much as you would hope. Bully for You, the third trade, reads like someone really thought ZomBoss was an interesting character and decided to develop him further. I can't say I really see the appeal in him, though, and the story overstays its welcome. The bonus stories don't add much, but some do have a very different art style that looks good even if it doesn't really capture the tone of the series.
Altogether, this is a decent collection of silliness that is definitely aimed at younger audiences, but is inoffensive to pretty much anybody.

3.0/5 stars| I have been a fan of the Plant vs. Zombie game since a child and occasionally revisit them as an adult. This collection of 3 different issues, I suppose, are self contained but do do well together. The third issue/story had a secondary storyline that was distracting and although we later understand why it was included, it could do well without the dramatic and pathetic awe of Crazy Dave. He's crazy-we get it!

I do appreciate the use of different plants and their names! The nostalgia of the plants ^.^
