A haunting song
A deadly dance
An explosive finale

Allemar may be dead, but his cause festers in the dark. Strange beasts stalk the night as haunting music corrupts the fog. When morning comes, nothing but dust remains. Rumors are quick to spread, with many speculating that Allemar had a son … and the evil sorcerer’s heir wants blood.

When an attack hits close to home, I become embroiled in a plan with the Magical Menagerie to infiltrate the palace of Sion and flush out the apprentice. Instead, I find twelve princesses, terrified and ensnared in a spell of music and death. Caught in a charade for my life, I don’t know whom to trust, for even my greatest love may be my greatest enemy.

For I am Honor, one of the adoptive daughters of Lady Eville, and I’m an antimage—cursed with a gift that can kill. Forever forced to travel the ley lines to keep my friends safe, I must find the source of the rumors before the sinister song reaches its final note…

And death takes his final bow.

Final book of the series. I loved this series. Retellings of 7 different classic fairytales. This one was based on the 12 Dancing Princesses. It was a fun read and we get to know Honor, who was probably the most mysterious of the Eville daughters.

This book was less focused on the romance story than the rest of the books. Which for me kinda sucked, but still I enjoyed the plot enough and we get a pretty crazy grand finale sort of ending. So all in all, I give it 4.5 stars.

The adventures of the daughters of eville are over and I'm sad to see it end, but it was such a great series!
I was very excited to read Honor's story and learn more of the elves, there was so many twists and turns to the story i was on the edge of my seat, heart racing because I didn't know what was going to happen next! It felt over far too quickly for my liking, but maybe I shouldn't have devoured it so fast! I couldn't put it down (but hey, that's how it's been with each of these books!). It was a good (shocking) ending, some sad parts, but still good. I liked each daughter, and Honor was just as badass in her own way as the rest of her sisters, you can't help but feel proud of each sister. I was immersed in each book, escaped to a different world with exciting (and likeable!) characters and creatures! I laughed a lot, gasped, smiled like a fool and even teared up a bit through the whole series! You can read each book as a standalone or read them all, but I highly recommend them all as they are so good and unique in there own rights, yet go together something fierce! I honestly wish this was a tv series or movies, it has left a mark on me and I'll definitely be rereading for years to come and recommending to anyone who's looking for (clean) fantasy adventure strong heroine leads (and romance of course😌) . I can not wait to see what Chanda Hahn writes next!!

This was such a fun series! 7 sisters 7 retellings. I think my favorite would have to be of Mist and Murder. This particular one I found it struggled holding my attention in some parts, but the ending was fantastic. Hahn did a fabulous job of tying everything all together for an epic end scene finale.

LOVED THIS ONE just as much as all the other books but it mainly gets a teeny tiny little -.5 because of the previous books worth of build up. this story follows honor, an anti mage and while i did love her story individually, she was supposed to be the one delivering the final blow and i felt like the entire thing was just over too quick. the previous six books were all kind of building up to this moment so it makes sense to expect something worth all that anticipation. it wasn’t bad it just felt lackluster. but honors individual story was so good, her story was supposed to follow the twelve dancing princesses and if you don’t know that was my favorite barbie movie growing up so i really did enjoy the retelling of this one. again the plot twists of this one *mind blown* i have nothing but good things to say about the way she writes her twists. this one wasn’t as romance heavy as the others but i didn’t mind, there was a love interest but the main focus of the story was honor.

The Perfect Ending

This series has been a constant delight. When I needed a friend, Lorelai and her daughters were there. I have no idea what I'll do now that it's over. Chanda needs a second Eville arc PRONTO!!! 5 of 5 stars and a million times better than half the YA books that have been released the last 4 years!

If I could give this book more stars I would.

It was just wonderful. This is a twisted retailing of the twelve dancing princesses. This book is about Honor. She is an anti-mage that has to travel the lay lines to stay alive. We find out so much about Honor and about the kingdoms in this book. We know some good stuff is going to happen. But, hang on because just when you think you know something. You don't.

We see all our favorites and some of the ones we might not care for also. Rumple is back and ready to fight. We also get to know some new friends. I love everything about them. I also learned never question mother Eville. She knows everything. I mean EVERYTHING!!! So many OMG moments. I could not believe what I was reading.

This is the final book in this series. Each one is about one of the seven Eville sisters. All are retailing of a classic fairytale. You will want to start at the first book and work your way through. Each one becomes my favorite.

This book was so obviously written with AI - constant misuse of words. At one point she says that she “read aloud the two words stitched into the canvas: ABOVE ALL, DO IT FOR HONOR.” 6 words, not 2. Mistakes like this are a constant throughout the book. Super disappointed in Chanda’s editors and publishers for even letting her put out a book like this.

Honor has always been the outsider of the Eville Family. Always far from the house and always with her guardian who was more of a parental figure than ever. She always wished she could be like her siblings always wishing to be able to have magic and not drain it. Until she enters into the Kingdom of Sion because of certain events. There she shall go through challenges she was never prepared for. Challenges involving her past, her present, and the lives of all seven Kingdoms. For She is the Daughter of Eville and probably the most strongest one of them all.

Chanda Hahn going to make me go broke. This series is literally my whole new personality no matter what. One day I feel like badass Honor, next I feel like bookish Rhea this series has me and I have no idea why at first read I didn't like this. This is a pure example of don't judge a book by the first few pages. Anyways the characters???? ARE AMAZING and Percy oh my gosh he's literally one of the best out of this series like not toxic at all and we loveee our non toxic men with a little spice 🥰 Anyways the end really was beautiful and almost made me cry, and I rarely cry over books. But this one of my gosh the ending it was like putting a missing piece in a puzzle of 1000 pieces going so well together. Honestly I hope Chanda Hahn releases a second series because the end????? I NEED MOREEEE

Honor is the only sister that can't use magic, but absorbs it, so she had to stay away from her sisters since she was 6 years old. What is she, and what are these attacks on the land?
Such a beautifully put together, from book one all the way to the last. This one shocked me. I never would have seen that ending coming.

This was the final book in the series. It took a minute for me to get into the storyline, being a retelling of the 12 Dancing Princesses was not one I am super familiar with. I did like the enemies to friends to lovers storyline with Honor and the elf.
I wasn’t expecting the twin twist.

I almost wish this series would never end because it seems to get better with every book. Alas, we have reached book seven and Honour, the seventh daughter of Eville.
Honour is a great character. I enjoy her independence and her bursts of anger that make her seem more true to life.
My favourite part about the way this series wraps up is just when you think you have it all figured out, you find out you know nothing at all.
Now I have to go read it from the start again so I can remember all the sisters and their stories so that I can enjoy this conclusion more fully. Such hardships 😉😁

YESSSSSSSSS! RUMPLE STILTSKIN IS BACK! I was so excited when I found out he was accompanying Honor in this book and I was not disappointed. Once again, Chanda Hahn continues to impress me with her amazing world building and unique character. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Who knows maybe we’ll get to hear about the next generation of Eville.

This one got back on track for me. I liked honor a lot, and I really enjoyed her running around training with all the elves!
I thought Percy was great.
I loved all the sisters together at the end, and Lady Eville being an empty nester. She's such a good mom <3

I found the plot of this one a little confusing, but I enjoyed all of the elements. There was a LOT going on, and I thought it was maybe a little too much for how short it was and how simple the writing is. There was the mystery of Percy's identity, the son of Alomar, the magic portal infiltrating the elf ceremony, the magical menagerie a cover to get Honor into the kingdom, the twelve princesses, the southern elf rivalry, the Princess and the Pauper, all the suitors, the council of kings or whatever it was called- it was a lot going on. This book SHOULD have been longer IMO, and each of these elements really given space to shine. But regardless, this one was definitely one of the better books in the series.

I really loved having a love interest with foundation and history with our MC. Finally something that makes sense to me. I appreciate that her relationship with Percy really felt like a side story. This was a fantasy adventure with romance IN it. I also really enjoyed her chemistry with the rival elf who she went to the ceremony with. Thought that scene was really fun.

I LOVED the magical menagerie. I thought it was fun being reunited with these great characters and following Honor as she learns not one but TWO circus acts. So talented ^_^. I think that the silk acrobatics was a REALLY cool act to give her.

I enjoyed the Princess and the Pauper add-in and was consistently shocked at how even the family members couldn't tell the difference between the two girls. I'll chock it up to having worn a mask for most of it.
The twelve dancing princesses element of the story was a little random to me. It felt like it came out of nowhere and was too much of a side note that didn't seem to really affect anything else other than one very specific plot point. I wish she'd incorporated the story a little better. I LOVE The Twelve Dancing Princesses.
I may also be biased because House of Salt and Sorrows is one of my favorite books and is just a perfect retelling.

I enjoyed Honor's character a lot. She was tom-boyish but willing to embrace a more feminine role when she joined the circus without scoffing at it. Then later when she observed how Lady Eville and other women she really respected were actively using those strengths, I was so pleased. I once again love a story that emphasizes that it is STRENGTH to be a woman, and that there are many different elements to that strength.

The ending- I think I hated the ending? I loved the reunion of the sisters, but the way everything just exploded...? Literally? IDK... It was kind of confusing and all ended all at once and everything tied up a little *too neatly I think. I think I am just used to longer, most complicated books at this point that give the endings 300 pages just to wrap up the final battle, let alone write the whole thing.

In conclusion though, I love this series and the fun characters and getting to know everyone and watch how everything comes together. I love the magic lore and the messages to learn from the girls. I recommend this series to all my romantasy fans <3

4.5 stars!!
Holy fricken moley. What an ending. You know what..what a story. I was not expecting that twist. Honor’s story had so many heart warming scenes. I found the beginning a little bit boring that’s why it lost a half of a star. The ending was just what I hoped it would be.

The time has finally come…I have reached the end and I’m pretty sad about it. This quickly became my favorite series. The characters were loveable. The world building was so well done. The retellings felt original. Each sister was unique and had a beautiful story. They flowed into each other so well by introducing the next sister’s story in the previous story. I’m so glad I randomly stumbled upon Of Beast and Beauty, this has been a series I won’t forget. If you like YA and books with cutesie, clean romance..chances are you’ll love these.

It was amazing to go back to daughter of lady evilles. I love this series if not every book. This one was good. Sometimes I felt lose at what they're doing and why. But as I said I love the series love those characters.
Lack in the department of romance. I liked Percy but we get so little of him.
But wth happened at the end? The magic system in this book skipped my mind. And would we get more books? How would it work thn? Ig we'll see. In one hand I was satisfied with the end of all 7sisters. It feels complete so I don't really expect more from this but again I love them so much I hate to say goodbye. And I don't think next books are going to be about them so I've mixed feeling.

This was a very good last addition to this amazing series. I’m really surprised that this series doesn’t have much hype around it bc it’s really good.

I think these last two books of the series suffer from not having the big bad of Alimar. The previous book was fine because it had Greed as it’s big bad but this book just had the daughter of Alimar as the villain. It felt like the Cursed Child but better. Rumple was also annoying at times and felt like an irritating comic relief.

Even with these criticisms I still really enjoyed the book and the story it told. This is one of my favourite series and I would recommend anyone read this series

I can’t believe this series is over 😭 I’ve loved it for so long and waited every six months for them but it was so satisfying to see it all come together so beautifully. I loved it but knocked a star down because the entire first half was pointless and unnecessary and because there was not nearly as much romance which is what I loved about the others! Great series if you haven’t checked it out. It can be read as standalones but highly recommend to read in order.

12 dancing princesses inspired.
What a way to end the series. 7 sisters, and 7 retellings all connected and continuations, Everything came together so nicely. And I'm low key sad it's over. This one tugged on my heart strings more than once and I think I teared up a few times * just a little *

The series as a whole is fabulous I'm really glad I read it.

The ending was a bit disappointing but Honor had a nice love story, since hers was the only romance that wasn't instant love.
I wasn't a fan of the "everything was decided by fate" thing.
In all the unexplained details, my biggest issue was how they didn't talk about the implicates of romance with someone with a longer lifespan.

This book.wqs the perfect conclusion to the series. There were so many great moments with characters from the other books showing up in this one. I was happy that Rumple was back and joined Honor in her journey. I really enjoyed following Honor's story and coming to understand why she was shrouded in so much mystery. I love this world and getting to explore it.

What a fantastic end to the series. I started getting teary-eyed as I neared the last pages, because I knew the adventures of the Daughters of Eville would be over.

The ending to this book was so fantastic, but it did slow down a bit near the middle. I didn’t feel the tension between Percy and Honor as much as I did the other women with their love interests, but I understand that Honor is a bit more independent than them.

I also loved the end when

Overall, it’s a beautiful way to end the series. Honor and Rumple are an unforgettable duo, but that’s probably because Honor and Rumple are just unforgettable characters on their own. Another great series by Chanda Hahn, who never disappoints.

This was such a highly anticipated read and Chanda Hahn didn't disappoint! Her writing is so consistent and is always epic for the romance, adventure and strong characters! I absolutely LOVED that the elves were involved in this book and how we got to see a bit into their realm. I also really loved the scene at the end where all the daughters of Eville we're gathered with their families for a reunion, it was such a nice touch on the author's part. There were so many twists, turns and surprises in this book that I honestly didn't see coming, that made this such a refreshing read as well as an epic conclusion to the series. I was very happy with the ending, though I hope it means that there could maybe be a spinoff series? =D
My only small complaint is that in the main conflict, I was a little confused about Honors powers. We go through the whole series thinking it's one thing and seeing how her powers affect others and then bam, it changes? I was confused about that and thought it might of been helpful for there to be more of an explanation or another scene where she uses her powers after that? Aside from this slight confusion, it definitely didn't take away from the book. I definitely recommend this whole series!
