First impressions can either be a kiss of death, or seal your fate. You either click or clash, soar or fall.Or in my case they could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.Problems arrive when the other party wants more. That can, and did lead to a very messy situation. One I was not prepared for, I was oblivious to what people around could see.Maybe I was blinded by the comfortable state Bennett and I had fallen into.Or maybe I chose to ignore the signs. All I did know for sure was that I was the girl in love with the new guy...OR other guy…
If the five-day-old fuzz growing on your legs is any indication of what you're hiding beneath those shorts, I'd say you got a few hours of trimming and shaving ahead of you. I'm just saying if Brantley goes exploring, the last thing you want is for him to mistake you for a gorilla.
Just wait until I’m outta sight before you two start swapping spit again. Otherwise, I’ll be forced to get out one of my shotguns and have that manly talk with you, boy.
My Review:
While I haven’t been lucky enough to read them all, this is my favorite C.A. Harms book yet. I adored this new series opener and fell in love along with the couple and their extended group of sassy friends. The characters weren’t just likable - they were admirable and endearing. The plot and storylines were irreverently amusing and realistic as well as entertaining and relatable with a thoughtful and sizzling hot romance developing along the way to a satisfying HEA. What more could a romance reader ask for? Sigh, it was perfection.
This is the first book in this series, and this is Sutton and Brantly’s story. Sutton and her best friend Bennett are part on a wonderful group of friends, but Sutton has not found her one as yet. Brantly has just returned to town from the military, and there is a connection between him and Sutton, and she finds out that he is Bennett’s older brother. This is a well written easy to read, emotional roller coaster story, with family, friendships, tension, challenges, friends / lovers, second chances, palpable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, small-town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I can actually rank this book as one of my favorites by C.A. Harms. My all time favorite C.A. Harms series is Southern Boys and I can put this one right up there with them. Brantley and Sutton had the chemistry I love in a romance but the best part of this story for me is all the dynamics of this group of friends. I can’t wait to get the next book. I have a feeling it’s going to get even better! I will be watching closely for the next book, sure hope it’s not too long of a wait!
Sutton's Choice is book 1 in the Hudson Boys series by C.A. Harms. This is Brantley and Sutton's story. Theirs was a complex and intense romance read that was of the heart and emotions. Brantley has ties to Bennett and Sutton knows Bennett and the story just flows from that. Without giving much away, this was a fabulous story that brings the chemistry, heat, feels and romance. I look forward to more in this new series.
There are some books out there that just resonate with you and touch your heart ❤️ in a way that’s not so easy to put into words. In a way that rarely ever happens. Well I can say with 100% certainty that every time I pick up one of C.A Harms’s romances , it doesn’t matter if it’s part of a series or not . That’s exactly what happene . Loving Him More may only be book 1 in The Hudson Boys Series - but it’s no different, in fact it’s just spectacular, it’s utterly addicting and beautiful and emotional to the point I can guarantee it Will pull on all your heartstrings in ways you’ll never ever be expecting. Sutton and Brantley - oh my how these two had my heart , I truly was not prepared for how utterly invested found myself in their characters and how completely in love I feel with both . Smiling, laughing, crying and cheering the whole way through. What an emotional journey!!
I felt like this one had a bit more drama than was needed and more than have been in prior books. However there wasn’t enough to ruin the story or distract from what was going on.
Most of the drama lended to the story and showed how close the characters really were. It would have been weird if the relationships didn’t have any bumps in the road.
I really enjoyed Sutton and Brantley’s story. Getting to see them figure out that the love was worth the fight. Getting to see them build a relationship while learning each other.
I have always loved that C.A. Harms makes me men men but also ones that know when to apologize. Nothing better than a blue collar man who can take care of his woman and realize when he’s messed up and fix it. The found family and care giving in this one is top much too.
Loving Him More is the first book in the Hudson Boys series. This one is Sutton and Brantley's story. This was a little angsty, but ultimately, I really loved their love story. For both of them it was instant want and need. The problem was how to deal with Bennet, Brantley's brother who also had feelings for Sutton. The conflict between the brother's was realistic but not over the top. The resolution and finding their way back to their bond was satisfying in the end. I loved the chemistry between Sutton and Brant. As the first in the series, we also get to start getting to know the other characters in the close knit groups of friends. Sutton and her girls are definitely friendship/sisterhood goals. I highly recommend this one.
This is the first book in this new series and wow be still my beating heart!
Brantley is totally swoon-worthy! he has just returned to town after being in the Military and is intrigued over his brothers best friend Sutton! The chemistry between Sutton and Brantley had steam coming off my kindle.
I was hooked from beginning to end and looking forward to starting Bennetts book next!!
This one was filled with family, friendships, serious chemistry and so much love you wont want to put this down.
I was gifted a copy of this book by the author and this is my honest opinion
With Sutton's friendship and his secret feelings for her, Bennet thinks that nothing can tear them apart - that is until his brother Brant comes home from the military and steals her heart. But can the two brothers keep their relationship intact when one loses and one gain's Sutton? Or is this a disaster waiting to happen? The reader will be sucked into the mayhem right from the very first chapter and the ending will leave them with a smile on their face but in desperate need to the next book in the series.
This is a fantastic small town read by CA Harms. You’re thrown into a situation that has tension, heat and unpredictability but it’s oh so good! Sutton is a sweet girl who has yet to meet the one. She has a great group of friends that includes Bennet, her best guy friend. Everything changes when he comes back to town - Brantley, Bennet’s older brother. There’s an instant connection and insane chemistry. What she doesn’t realize is he isn’t the only one who wants her and going after what she wants may hurt so many more. This is a great read and a fantastic start to the Hudson Boys series!
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book, mainly because of the brothers fighting for the heroine. There were parts that seemed awkward, but seriously, that would be real life in that situation. I enjoy C.A. Harms books, and this was no different. I would've easily given 5 stars, but the editing got in the way. Punctuation was wonky, which can really mess with the flow of that part of the story.
Loving Him More is the first book in the Hudson Boys series by C. A. Harms. It's a best friend's brother romance, and it was such an amazing read! I swear, the first time Sutton and Brantley's eyes met, I could practically feel the sparks! They were soul mates, and it was an incredible story! I can't wait for Lexi and Bennett's story, but in the meantime, this one is highly recommended with way more than five stars!
This was a freaking great book to read. I love love love the characters and their chemistry and connection. I loved Sutton and Brantley. It was good from beginning to end. I am so upset that it ended. I love love love this author. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
This book grabbed me from the very beginning and did not let go. C.A. Harms did such a wonderful job telling the story of Sutton, Brantley and Bennett that you can't put the book down. I laughed and cried throughout the book, and fell in love with all of the characters. I can't wait for book 2.
This was my first book by this author. I thought the plot was entertaining. The characters were great. Brantley and Sutton had great chemistry. You could almost feel the electricity between them. I was totally invested in them and the group of friends they have. I felt bad for Bennett but I know that he will get his book soon. I laughed, I cried and I cheered.
This book had me sucked in from the beginning. First the friendship between them all and then when Sutton meets Brantley the chemistry is off the charts! Love this start to the new series and can't wait to see where it leads.
This is a seriously sweet book. Sutton and Brantley fall for each other at first site. Things are a bit complicated because Sutton is best friends with his brother but once it's all sorted it's plain sailing. Loved the secondary characters. Looking forward to their books.
I really enjoyed this book. I really wish I could read the next book now. I can't wait to see what happens with the next couple. I love the connection between all the characters. Great story.
I loved every word of this book. There were so many emotions and feelings. I was cheering for Brantley and Sutton the entire time. This is a group friends that more like family. I can't wait to get more of this group.
This book pulled me in so fast I couldn't put it down. I'm thinking we all need to move to Hudson😉 the story was fantastic. At times I felt bad for Bennett but he did flirt way to much. Sutton ended up with the right guy. Can't wait to read more!!
Great plot for this book a group of friends one guy particularly is flirty and fun but she knows he can only be a friend. In walks the big brother they are instantly attracted and things get complicated.
This first book in a series was so good. Friendships can be hard when feelings and dynamics start to change. I was so lucky to be apart of their journey to figure it all out and be where they both wanted to be. Amazing start to a new series.
Great beginning to a series I know I’m going to love. Love the family, friendships, and town this series offers. Can’t wait for the next adventure with this gang.
