If you have been in the network marketing business for any amount of time, you need to read this! The section on emotional allowance has been huge for me. I have several pages marked to share with my own team, and plan to really focus on teaching and modeling having an abundance mindset! Network marketing is an excellent way to earn money, but we have to remember to be of service and have fun too! Kristen reminds us of all of this in a gentle but firm way!

3.5 stars rounded up. While I’m not sure if this book was written for me, I can see how it would be helpful for the right demographic. It’s broken into four sections: The Harm of Hustle, Healing From the Hustle, Leaving the Hustle, and Pivot to Purpose.

I was able to highlight key takeaways in almost every chapter, however I think a good chunk of it is only applicable to those who have the luxury to take their time to build financial security. When I was in my phase of hustle, it was because I needed basic financial needs provided for immediately, not because of some vague sense of never having enough or wanting to prove my worth. Because of that, some sections were hard to relate to and rubbed me the wrong way.

Burnout is a huge problem in our modern hustle culture and this book offers some hope for success without the hustle. In the writer world, I've seen this play out over and over again with the shift toward rapid release and high production goals. While I'm naturally very prolific, I almost burnt myself out trying to do rapid release for a single year where I released something each month. The burnout wasn't worth it, and I've gone back to my natural production levels. I became successful in my career without hustling it, hustling it didn't really help matters, and now I'm back to doing what I was doing in the beginning: releasing a couple of books a year with no pressure. So, I can say that I think Kristen Boss is on target with this.

This book is so needed for female entrepreneurs. Thankfully more and more people are starting to recognize the toxicity of hustle culture, but Kristen Boss has already lived through it and made the shifts to a healthier and happier existence. This book has real life, vulnerable examples of struggles we can all relate to, and that most of us don't care to admit, but until we can get this honest the way Kristen has, none of us can change the way we are showing up in our lives and businesses. In Pivot to Purpose, Kristen gives us real actionable steps for making the small, consistent changes that are required for us to create a live that we love. So if you are ready to exit the treadmill that keeps you on the hustle bus, this is the roadmap for you. I highly recommend it.

If you are an entrepreneur of any kind, especially if you're in Social Selling, you need to read this book. For so long I have struggled to figure out why I haven't seen as much success in my business as I would like and now I am learning so much about myself and how my thoughts have gotten me where I am. Kristen is truly making a way for authentic social selling without the hustle and the systemic burnout that a lot of people and companies perpetuate. Be prepared to ball your eyes out at times, feel uncomfortable and called out, and ultimately experience life changing moments.

The best book for any woman to read. The hustle culture is not just for Network Marketing. Reading this book made me realize how I have been in that toxic culture my entire life. Always running and never stopping to celebrate the small wins. (Or even the large ones)

This book was full of a lot of ouch moments. You know the ones that call you out and make you feel seen in your dark moments? But it was more of an "I see you because I have been you." There is no judgment, only a let me help you spirit in each page.

Kristen talks about the keys to real success and genuine change. She makes the steps clear and easy. I highly recommend this book to all entrepreneurs and those that are running their own businesses!
