Sophia Fuentes unfolds a very mystical tale of two vampire clans, the South and the West, united by one chilling initiation ceremony. The narrative depicts an old fashion romance in the midst of modern-day punkers at a head-banging rock concert. The adventure etched into this sex-crazed vampire party is an out-of-this-world fantasy rush.
K.B. Krissy is a bonafide Californian, born and raised in the Bay Area, a graduate of Hampton University, and a United States Army Veteran. She enjoys reading, cooking, beaches, dogs, and spending time with her family.
This was big, colorful, and over the top. Lots of action, energy, violence, and romance. That said, it feels like less of a story and more of an account, as there is little plot, character development, or struggle for the central figures. It’s also more a short story than a book. Even so, I expect more “story” in a story. This almost felt more like a description of a fever dream–or, I suppose, the opening setup of a book. Lovers of vampire/romance with a healthy splattering of gore might really enjoy this, but I think it will fall short for many audiences.
A bloody, gory, fun, fast read! Good Fantasy writing. K.B. Krissy has a very unique take on how the whole vampire hierarchy works and takes us into a story where the motorcycle riding rulers of the underworld attend a very special Rock Show where they are the stars putting on the performance, but there is more than just a rock show going on. All of the gruesome steps to making it big in the vampire world come to light, well maybe light is the wrong word. A very bloody, gory, fun, fast read!
This is a highly creative piece on vampires and the underworld. Love coming across other authors like this because it inspires me to be more creative, myself! Only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I would’ve liked to see more effort, making this a longer tale. It can be!
Fun-sized horror at its finest! It's a short read but packs quite the punch! Who doesn't love a good, gory vampire story? Motorcycles and a rock band, come on! What more do you need? I am impressed with the amount of world building and character development the author crammed into so few pages. If you want a quick shot of fast-paced, entertaining horror, pick this!
I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did. This story that is a bit gory is packed with so many different images. It is like reading so many different colors coming at you at the same time!
Vampire story with lots of action ,would of loved it if the book was a little longer seems like it was a bit rushed and putting to much violence in a short book seemed a little chaotic . I Look forward to reading more from this author I’m intrigued .
This short appetizer of a gory vampire offering is fun and delightfully decadent. I expected a lot more but the author's writing style is tremendous. I was entranced from her first paragraph.
