On her way to a job interview arranged by her friend, Claire battles her inner demons. Demons that have kept her from moving on in her life for the last six months. Now trapped in an elevator she is close to falling apart, in front of her cool as a cucumber neighbor.
How will Claire cope being trapped while her mind tries to implode?
Jackson has found his calling, of being a firefighter, of being a hero. Another routine call takes him to an apartment building with a dysfunctional elevator. However, he’s unprepared for the inhabitants, and easily gets distracted with disastrous consequences.
His meeting with Claire and her neighbor sets in motion a series of events that will challenge a blossoming relationship before it even has a chance to start.
You’ll love this standalone Hot and Steamy, Romantic Suspense Novella because it’s filled with enough drama and suspense to keep you reading into the night. Enjoy the Happy Ever After and No Cliffhangers!
This hot firefighter story begins with Jackson rescuing Claire and one of his old high school crushes from the elevator in their apartment building. Natasha is everything that Claire thinks she isn't and when Natasha recognizes Jackson she shoves Claire and causes Claire to injure her ankle. Jackson barely says high to Natasha and sets about rescuing Claire and carrying her up to her apartment. Thus begins the steamy relationship between Claire and Jackson and the jealous rivalry between Natasha and Claire. I enjoyed this book and I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was so much more than I was expecting, it's a well-written, smooth flowing, thrilling romance that has enough drama and suspense to satisfy the most avid thriller fan. It's also a steamy romance with some palpable chemistry. They met when Claire was trapped in an elevator and Jackson was her knight in shining armour, Jackson's a firefighter he's also her hero.
I loved this firefighter thriller romance, it had enough heat and steam as well as drama and suspense, I didn't want to put my Kindle down.
I don't think I've read anything by this author before and it was a great first book. Who doesn't love a hot firefighter? Lol Claire is fresh off of her sister stealing her fiance, when she finds herself stuck with a neighbor in a broken elevator. The hot fireman saves her and her neighbor and there is instant chemistry. Too bad for them both he wasn't into the other woman in the elevator, because she's a psychopath! And now the psycho is mad that the neighbor got the hottest fireman. Buckle up. This story is some " fatal attraction" kind of stuff! Lol
This was my firsr "long" story from Nicole Summer and I found the characters believable and likable. Much like Nicole has accostumed us this is a steamy read with a bit of drama. I think Jackson might me one of my favourite male characters from Nicole so far. He was always looking out for Claire and protecting her. Overall an enjoyable read that I would recommend.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Claire in in an elevator when it breaks down. This causes her to move a meltdown of sorts. Jackson is a firefighter and loves to save people as he feels like a hero. He gets the call of an elevator that is stopped with a person trapped inside! He gets ther and when he does finds Claire and has to help her. They are great together but he’s also there for her as she has strange problems. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this lust at first sight story, had great characters, hot firefighter and a bit of drama with a psycho neighbour. I liked how the book flowed although in some places time seemed to jump quickly. One minute Jackson was looking for Claire then next minute he was carrying her to safety? A good, steamy story overall.
I loved this story about Claire and Jackson. I liked that it has all the elements of a good book. There is drama, suspense, laughter humor, and sexy times.
I felt like I understood Claire. She was a "normal" girl who had her own insecurities but had to try and push through them.
Jackson was a great book boyfriend. I liked that he was alpha but not necessarily the bossy type.
I loved this book. Just the right length and though it had some drama it wasn’t only drama or at least not anxiety inducing. The story part was pretty quick but it worked out for the length of the story overall.
