That’s me. Juniper Taylor. I’m supposed to be mated to the Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack. Except when he finds out my secret, he rejects me in front of everyone.
Worse. My own pack turns their backs on me too.
I have no one, no protection, nothing.
I’m on my own against hunters who want to kill us all on sight.
And without anyone to help me during the fated blood moon and my first shift, I’m screwed.
Until three wolf shifters find me.
They ignite a passion in me that I fear I won’t be able to walk away from. And my wolf longs for a fated mate even if it’s the one who rejected us.
But I can’t stay with these strangers, it’s too dangerous.
Once they find out the truth about me, they’ll throw me out just like everyone else.
Screw that.
I’ll leave first before they find out the truth about me.
Wolf Heart is the first book in the Wolf Moon Rising series. This book has rejected mates, a sarcastic heroine, anti-hero Alphas, and so much steam your windows will fog…
Spoilers in review: Normally I enjoy this genre of book, even the ones that are poorly written. This one uses lovely prose, but just doesn't say anything? There are several mis uses of characters names and other words. She's not yet 21 on page 38, then she's already twenty four towards the end of the book. I know a lot of words filled in that space, but I'm pretty sure she didn't age 3 years. The plot so far consists of the fmc, an unshifting shifter, trying to find her birth mother in order for her to help her shift? She tags along with three rogue alpha male shifters who are cursed by witches, after she is humiliated by her fated mate and banished from civilized wolf society. Of course the men fall for her, sex ensues with two of them, despite her constant mental anguish over her fated mate's rejection. The men also plan to betray her to remove the curses. During the seeming never ending journey they are set upon by feral animals and a gang from her old pack who want to kill her?? The cliff hanger results from them finally reaching evil witches. There you go, now you can read book 2 if you want.
This book was a mess, and not even a hot one. It was extremely hard to follow, I had to go back and make sure I was flipping the page forward instead of accidentally backwards. Things repeated themselves and sometimes it was like either the pages were out of order or a sequence of events was .
Also I really didn't like the characters. Any of them.
I just never understood why this girl was so hated by everyone. So what if she didn’t get her wolf right away. Sometimes something’s take time to develop. Or the fact that she was different. So what, being different is okay and allowed.
I still don’t understand why Raven distance with Jupiter. Was it because she wanted to share herself with Dex and Aspen? I mean they were all friends, l thought.
