Callum and Alicia . . .

Alicia is spending a week in Scotland for Christmas. She gets invited by a handsome aristocrat to attend a society wedding as his date for his brother's Christmas wedding. Callum, the Scottish laird's youngest son, was impressed with the American woman who seemed smart and funny. She was also not dating him for the status of his title. But the two of them unexpectedly did find themselves falling for each other despite their intentions. Will they be ready when Alicia has to return home?

⛄I'm so into holiday romance novellas this time of the year, taking a break from my favourite genre: mystery thrillers!
⛄A hallmark- worthy Christmas romance awaits our protagonist Alicia when she has lost her job and wishes for a much needed break and takes a plane to Edinburgh, Scotland and rest is Cinderella story ✨
⛄What I loved about this novella is the essence of reality to the enchanted fairytale having so many beautiful versions! Yet I wish there would have been in-depth beautiful encounters of the duo to make the readers invested in an enchanting Fairytale 🌟
⛄Yet another great Holiday Romance to get into the Christmas spirit and rejoice with the magic of love and happiness ✨

This was a short, sweet holiday romance set in Edinburg and that’s what attracted me to the story. Alicia is let go from her job of 12 years and with her sister making her own Christmas plans she heads to Edinburgh, Scotland for a trip of a lifetime. Her first evening in town she meets Callum, the son of a laird. When his family has plans of arranging a date for him for his brother’s wedding he announces he has a date with an American friend. This story which was cute and overall I liked the characters despite Alicia being wound tight about her sister (who she raised after their parents died, but who is now an adult) and Callum who despite his title and upbringing came off as super naïve and immature. In that respect, they kind of balanced each other. I loved being “in” Edinburgh again and felt as if I was walking along as the characters did. Enchanted in Edinburgh had a fairy tale vibe and I enjoyed it.

3 1/2 Stars from me........Is this attraction between Alicia and Callum just a holiday fling or something more. American Alicia, after loosing her job, decides to head to Scotland for the holidays. There she meets Callum, a handsome aristocrat and there is an instant connection. Best of all she doesn't care about his status or title. He invites her to be his plus 1 for his brother's wedding and she gets a look at snobbery at it's not so finest. The book is well paced, steamy, quck read, with solid characters. New author, first book, well done.

🏰Sweet, cute, but room for improvement🧀

3.5🌟 stars
I liked the Edinburgh setting and the fake couple turned romance plot was light and cute. This was a short, easy read with most of the action occurring over a one week period after out of work American Alicia arrives in Scotland for a spontaneous vacation.

But the story has some inconsistencies. Like how did Callum find out Alicia's last name when she only told him her first name? And was she on holiday for one week or two? (It kept changing). And how did he know her dress size? Things like that detracted a bit from this opposites attract romance set at Christmas.

She has just lost her job after working there for 12 years and she decide to travel to Scotland for the Christmas . The first night she meets this handsome man to is the second son of the Laird and the sparks flying . He needs a date for his brother wedding and he asks her . The more time they spent together it is obvious they have real feelings for each other . A sweet and beautifully writen story from a new author who I would like to read more stories .

This is my first book by this author, I thought it was an enchanting, short, sweet easy to read story. The plot is well thought out and the characters are well-drawn and likeable. It's the first of a new series and this one is about Alicia, an American who having been fired from her job decides to visit Scotland for Christmas. There she meets Callum, the second son of a Scottish laird, the two of them hit it off straight away and he asks her to be his date to his brother’s wedding. The more time they spend together the closer they become but can it work between them long term?

Sweet Christmas story. After Alicia loses her job after 12 years, she wants something different. She travels to Scotland over the Christmas season. There she meets a handsome and intriguing aristocratic man, who is in need for a date for his brother social wedding. They are enchanted by each other. Will it be for the long haul or just for the season?

A new author, a first book.
Always exciting and this book is a perfect read for this time, actually every time, of the year.

Alicia goes on holiday to Scotland and meets Callum.
They have an instant connection.
The book is sweet, an easy read and just perfect.
Not a complicated story, but it has an underlying depth: do what makes you happy!

I really enjoyed reading this one!

This is the first book in the series and a new to me author. I enjoyed diving into this charming story. The characters have personalities you can't help but fall in love with. I also like the setting and felt the author beautifully described a slice of Scotland. I felt like I was watching a Hallmark or Lifetime holiday movie while reading the pages. Perfect for the season.

The first book in the Sparkling Scottish Holidays series a well written Christmas short story. This is a new Author to me and it looks like this is her debut story. Callum Dalkeith-Montgomery, Young Lord of Midlothian, and Alicia Jane Ballard's story was fun to read. The story was well worth reading. Cute Romantic Christmas Story in Scotland

I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a chipper story about a woman meeting a modern day prince charming in beautiful Scotland during Christmas. I did find the story a little bit unrealistic and it would be perfect for a hallmark movie.

This is an entertaining book. However, it is so short that some scenes should have been more developed because it gives the feeling that everything happens fast and you can't see it as realistic.
