John Vaughn is an evangelist and retired pastor with a winsome personality, the sort of man who genuinely enjoys talking with people and who has himself experienced more than an average share of life’s challenges. In this short book he recounts some of his favorite stories about sharing his faith with others. Because as a young man, he was a successful salesman, Vaughn is well aware of the dangers of trying to sell religion, and that understanding lends an increased sense of genuineness to these stories. But I’m not sure what he makes of people like me who, when possible, avoid engaging in conversation about even mundane matters.
