Stepping Into Advent: Making Space to Recognize the Nearness of God

Rate this book
Like so many people, Bethany was caught up in the hurried pace of the Christmas season where everything became last minute for her. Before she knew it, Christmas Eve arrived and she had missed the beauty that anticipation and longing can brings. She missed Advent. Centered around the daily scriptures from A Guide to Prayer for Ministers and Other Servants, Cseh crafts daily reflective readings for Advent. Writing like they’re her friend, she helps the reader create a sustainable pace to step into the season of Advent. Her hope is for the reader to notice the nearness of God’s Love. Complete with a simple guiding question at the end of each daily reading, Cseh gently invites the reader to reflect on their own life and how the reading impacted them that day. May you make space this Christmas season by Stepping Into Adven t.

Bethany's reflections and observations do exactly what the book's subtitle suggests: make space for our own recognition of the nearness of God.
If you're looking for an advent read (this year or ever), consider this book.
