Roxy Sloane is a romance junkie with a dirty mind. She lives in Los Angeles and loves writing sexy, complex stories about pushing the boundaries and risking it all.
I just don’t understand. Goes to work in a cab but takes the Porsche home? It would be good if the editing wasn’t so atrocious. Please send me a copy next time - I can help.
Flawless Ruin, book 2 in the Flawless Trilogy by Roxy Sloane picks up where Flawless Desire, book 1 ended. This fast-paced, action-packed story is packed with twists and turns, angst, mystery, suspense, turmoil, heartache, secrets, and an explosive cliffhanger.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
I honestly can’t believe how the first book ended in this series, after waiting a while before getting to read something by Roxy Sloane, she has literally blown it out of the park… And this second book is no laughing matter, you can’t help but feel for Juliet because whilst at first she was doing things in order to get the dirt on him, but things changed after she realised that there was more to Caleb and after the way the first book ended you had no idea how things would progress between everyone involved now. I know that Juliet grows as a person but at the same time it’s clear that Caleb has some effect on her even though she tries her hardest to be a lot stronger and to not be sucked in by the hold her has over her. All she wants is to fix the wrongs that she’s done, but in order to do that she needs to get Caleb to listen to her, but still that’s such a hard feat. I do think that both of them suit each other well and that their personalities match each other perfectly, if anything they ground each other, but it is heart-breaking having to watch Juliet go through everything that Caleb is throwing at her. There was a couple of things that didn’t add up for me and if anything I would love to have more from it, for example it was Juliet’s roommate who got involved and helped Olivia do her best to take down Caleb, yet surely when it came to Juliet informing Caleb of what actually went down, she didn’t tell him the full truth. If that was me, I’d be going ahead and telling them every little detail so that they could see the whole picture, yet for some reason Juliet never did. Another thing that stood out to me was the fact along with the notes and strange deliveries why didn’t Juliet tell Caleb about the knife she found because whilst it’s clear it was a threat, maybe he might have listened to her more if he realised that someone actually is trying to send some sort of message. One last thing is that Juliet found some files missing from the archives, surely it would have been a good idea to bring this up to Caleb considering this might be a clue into solving all of Caleb’s problems, but instead, she just went ahead and kept quiet. Maybe if some of these were wrote about in more detail, I think that it would have had much more of an impact to the story. Other than that, I think it was a gripping story and I’m intrigued to see what’s going to happen next considering yet again Roxy has left this book on another cliff-hanger. Honestly when I say you don’t want to miss out on this series, I’m not kidding, it’s just so mesmerizing and gripping.
Caleb is dead set on getting revenge on Juliet, he can’t believe that the one person he opened his heart too could hurt him so badly, but what he doesn’t realise is that there is a hell of a lot more going on than he realises, but he won’t listen to Juliet even though she could be the key to most of the problems he’s got on his plate. He knows the one thing that he has control over is her body, the way she reacts to him, so deciding on using that to punish her, it’s only just the start. With time running out, Caleb has no idea what to do, but he knows he’s got to start thinking of something quickly. Finding out the truth of what actually happened, Juliet can’t believe that her roommate would stoop to such low levels in order to hurt her. Deciding it’s best to just get away from her, she ends up moving in with one of the designers at work, yet things start getting weird for Juliet when she starts getting poems and crushed up flowers as presents. Clearly someone is targeting her and she knows that something isn’t right, but with Caleb not wanting to listen to her about anything, she decides to keep everything to herself. Will they be able to find each other again or are they set to be ruined forever??? Will they get to the bottom of the problems they both have or are matters set to get even worse???
Roxy Sloane is killing me with this series! Book #1, Flawless Desire ended in a cliffhanger, and here's your warning--so does this one, which picks up exactly where Flawless Desire ended, and it kept me reading from beginning to end, which for this reader was at 3:00 a.m. this morning, on a loud gasp thanks to that cliffhanger ending, and I spent the remainder of the wee hours of the morning trying to guess what's going to happen next. Cliffhanger or not, this one one hot, sexy, emotional wringer of a novel and I'm hooked. 5 stars!
Want more drama? It's here! Want more suspense? Grab the edge of your seat and hang on! Want more heat? It goes from hot, to hotter, to hottest! Want more angst? This one has it in spades! Need more suspense? Oh yeah--just wait!
Caleb is less than happy as Juliet's attempted subterfuge and deal with Olivia is revealed at the worst possible moment, and in addition to feeling lied to and betrayed, Caleb doesn't just get angry, he gets even. Firing Juliet would be way too easy a punishment--he's out for revenge, and he's taking no prisoners. But Juliet does have a backbone, and she's not quite the pushover Caleb thought she'd be. The emotional push and pull of this novel will have you grinding your teeth, biting your nails, and holding your breath, if you have any left after the cliffhanger at the end of book #1.
There's way more to this story than just Olivia trying to wrest control of the company from Caleb, Juliet attempting to get Caleb to understand why she did what she did, and hopefully get him to trust her again. Complication upon complication leads to more than one harrowing and heartbreaking experience, and a new threat to Caleb's company and his relationship with Juliet will be revealed, and, as if their relationship wasn't already damaged enough, and it's even more dangerous than Juliet could have possibly imagined.
Now we have to wait for book #3 to find out how they're going to resolve this latest dilemma, find the answer to the cliffhanger ending, and hopefully these two will reach their happily ever after--but how? That's the question only Roxy Sloane can answer, and personally, I cannot wait. One more warning, make sure you have the time to read Flawless Ruin in one sitting, because I simply cannot imagine anyone being able to put it down.
Thank you, Ms. Sloane for the advanced reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own, and how soon can I get my greedy hands on book #3?
I was pulled right into this story. This is a 3 part story so be prepared to get all 3 parts. The story has laughs, suspense, secrets, naughty fun, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Flawless Desire (Flawless #1)
This is the start of Juliet and Caleb’s story. She needs this job she is going to interview for. After a bad start to the day that included a coffee incident and a chance meeting with major chemistry, she has her interview. Just when she thinks she will never get the job she is hired. Now she must resist her boss. But he makes it almost impossible.
This is more of the story but not the end this part also ends on a cliffy which is expected. Passion, suspense, steam, and lots of twists to keep you involved in the story. Plenty of the story to keep you turning the pages. Can’t wait for the next part of this story. This story leaves you on a cliff hanger but that is expected and should have you all ready or the next part hoping to get more of your questions answered.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this 3 part series.
Ok, ok I may or may not have messaged the author with a message I won't repeat on here at the end is this book! I don't know if I'm more stupid or naive to think this one would not have just ended the way it did (with my heart in my throat) but it has and now I'm raging because I need more!! I'm happy, antsy and raging all at the same time, I don't deal well with cliffies! Roxy Sloane is absolutely hitting this trilogy out the park! It's had me hook, line and sinker and is quite simply hands down, amazing!! The twists and turns keep on coming and the mystery gets deeper and deeper. The push and pull between Juliet and Caleb is so palpable. They try to work through things, you can feel their turmoil and connection burning through the pages and yet there's still so much that remains unanswered. This second instalment was fast paced, action packed and full of angst and suspense. I know I'm in for an even wilder ride with the last instalment and I cannot wait! At this point I'm too far gone to worry about what may or may not happen, I just need it. I need to know!!
Caleb Sterling is left reeling after learning that the woman he’s falling for, Juliet, has betrayed him.
After being left in a horrible situation, Juliet agrees to spy on Caleb for money to support her ill mother but soon finds herself falling for Caleb, but it’s too late. The damage has been done.
This book had me shocked and sad for both parties involved. The chemistry between them is an undeniable force of nature that won’t allow either of them to move on.
As Caleb fights to keep his company, Juliet is left wondering if they can repair the damage done by her actions.
There is, however, threats hiding around every corner and the cliffhanger will have you on the edge of your seat wondering how this story is going to end!
This series is so freaking addictive!! AND as Roxy always does, she has us glued to Ruin. As we dive further into the Sterling Cross world more and more stuff surfaces. The depth at which Caleb is trying to keep the legendary company, Sterling Cross at the top when it comes to fine jewelry.
All Caleb and Juliet’s secrets are out, and unfortunately for Juliet is paying the consequences of betraying Caleb. She also is finding it impossible for her to try and explain herself as Caleb wants nothing to do with her. Caleb is hurt by her betrayal but is constantly fighting with his desire for Juliet. Not only that but Olivia is out for blood when it comes to Caleb. Adding misery on top of everything else happening Juliet’s best friend and roommate will also betray her, leading her to question who she can or cannot trust.
In spite of Caleb’s hard feelings toward Juliet, he keeps her working for him at the company mostly because she is a good employee. He keeps Juliet on a tight rope assigning her jobs that not only make her uncomfortable but out of sight too. But there is still this white-hot chemistry between them. Yet, when Caleb makes a trip Italy Juliet is stunned when he tells her she is going too. Would this be a time for them to reconnect or is it more of Caleb’s games to punish her?
Once again, we are left with an inconceivable cliffhanger that has totally left me hanging on by a thread, waiting to see what happens next. What an amazing sere!!!! I can hardly wait for the next book to be here!!
The second part of the Flawless Series. - Note this is part of a trilogy and must be read in order.
------------- Flawless Ruin picks up where Flawless Desire left off.
Caleb finds out that Juliet had been plotting against him with his partner but couldn't go through with it. How can he trust her now? She said wouldn't help Olivia but is she telling the truth. And why can't he stop thinking about her? Caleb tries to make himself forget her, while Juliet is devastated not only has she lost Caleb but she's lost her best friend who deceived her.
Now homeless, and without Caleb Juliet thinks she's got no choice but to leave her job, move on with her life. But Caleb won't let her. She's still his second assistant. And then Italy happens... it's the shift they both needed a truce... but what will happen when they return to NYC? And can he protect her with the mafia after him and now trailing her?
Juliet's death threats keep coming and when Caleb doesn't believe her it is near fatal. ------------- 4 star read. I was captivated by this story, wanting to know what happens next. But the Hero of the story was too arrogant and irritated me and it felt like the twists and turns could have been a little more refined for a 5 star rating.
☆☆☆☆☆ Flawless Ruin was another amazing book in this flawless trilogy. I learned after the first book went live that it had been a while since this author published a book. Well, after reading the first and second book, I hope and pray she keeps writing. This book picked up where the cliffhanger from the first book left off. After growing close to Juliet, Caleb was left feeling betrayed by her. One thing that hasn’t changed is their desire for each other. Caleb is determined he won’t be fooled again. She may lie through her mouth but her body can’t lie. The desire between them is all that’s left, binding their fates. Desire was Caleb’s undoing and now it will be hers. Everything gets remarkably more intense in this book. Juliet wants to make things right but other than putting her through hell, he won’t listen to her explain anything. The suspense gets more intense with more twists and turns, increased angst which is the icing on top of the cake for me. The heat is even hotter! But that cliffhanger just about did me in and I’m DYING for the final book in this trilogy! I highly recommend this trilogy. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
This picks up from the cliffhanger in Flawless Desire, and hits the ground running. There's so much more going on
The dynamic between Caleb and Juliet has changed (no spoilers), but there's still that invisible thread that keeps them close to one another, whether they want it or not. Juliet has a bit more backbone as the story continues, and I love her spark. Olivia is continuing with her plans to oust Caleb as CEO. You get a bit more background from the various storylines in the previous book, and things are starting to fall into place. It seems everything is going against Caleb, and you see glimpses of the man he wants to be fighting with the man he has to be. This story is becoming more of a woven tapestry from a high level, but as you get deeper into things, it's utter chaos. I can't believe I finished this book as quickly as I did, but I just didn't want to put it down.
There's another cliffy, and I'm chompin at the bit to get the final book to see how everything plays out. Roxy is nailing this!
Oh my.... Fast moving story, couldn't put down this story of Juliet and Caleb. Olivia is still trying to locate the information that she thinks she found on Caleb so she can sell the company to Sebastian Wolfe. Caleb is trying to hang on to his families business. Olivia is out for greed, her parents never gave her the time while she was growing up, so she wants the money from her dead aren't shares with Caleb. Juliet is still his employee and he is interested in her, but she lied to him , he doesn't trust her anymore. This dad was involved with the mobster and one of them were silent partners. Well, the son has gone after what he think belongs to his crime family. His father has passed on. Nero keeps threatening Juliet, but Caleb doesn't see it happening because he is so involved with saving his company. This author has written a outstanding book. The chemistry between Juliet and Caleb was off the charts. I personally can't wait to find out what happens next. This story was absolutely exciting to read! ENJOY!!!
2,5 stars. So this was again not terrible but it’s just too short, it feels like this one and the first one could have easily been one book. Nothing is learned about the characters personalities, (so the grand total of what is known about them still stands at a zero), and the indecisiveness of Juliet is starting to get to me. Like it’s fine if she can’t resist Caleb, but then don’t make it out like she’s going to every other chapter and then she doesn’t even try when she sees him, (this applies to Caleb as well, he really needed more chapters from his perspective because his actions didn’t really seem motivated). Also how is Juliet a valuable asset to the company? She barely lifts a finger and seems like a downright terrible fit for an assistant. And her fight with her friend of many years? She doesn’t even try to solve that and doesn’t spare a single thought to if she would want to. Now I’m somewhat invested so i will read the last one to see how it resolves but i’m not really hopeful it will be any different.

This is the second book in this incredible series by this author. This is the continued story of Caleb and Juliet. This story carries on from the cliffhanger ending of book one. Omg what an emotional read this book is. This book is packed full of suspense, emotions, chemistry, hot and steamy and just so much more. Once you start you won’t be able to put this book down till you’ve got to the end and then you will be left wanting more. This is an amazing addition to this series by this author and I can’t wait to read more.
I was given an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest review
This is the second book in this amazing trilogy and continues straight on from the cliffhanger in Flawless Desire. The puzzle pieces are slowly coming together as more background from the various storylines in the previous novel are coming together. My heart broke for Juliet who is just trying to fix the wrongs that she has done, but she needs Caleb to listen to her, which is not an easy task, with the way that he is treating her. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable, and this story ends in another whammy of a cliffhanger. This is a well written tale which is fast paced, action packed, and with angst, twists, heartbreak, suspense, turmoil, tension, secrets, and mystery, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading the next book in this phenomenal trilogy and I highly recommend this talented authors work.
okieee so this book continues with caleb and juliette but this back and forth is getting so annoying. like caleb is still pissed that juliette unintentionally exposed him but turns out it was his dad who was in dealings with the mafia and when he died caleb had to take over. but caleb is trynna stop paying the mafia and clearly they don’t like that so they keep threatening juliette and caleb. they get back together for a bit but also keep breaking things off bc caleb is still pissed at juliette. the book ends with caleb finally saying he can never trust her again and she’s devastated but i’m like girly j bc the sex is that good doesn’t mean u should b treated like this but whatever. so she leaves his house and as she’s leaving someone is following her them crashes into her and then everything goes dark…
Roxy Sloane is back with the second book in the Flawless Triology and y'all.. what a journey. Book one was crazy good and book two is really heating us up now. Angsty, intense, suspenseful, twisty, steamy, all of the feels. Roxy gives us Flawless Ruin, packed to the brims with loads of nail biting drama and explosive emotions.
You do not want to miss out on this beauty. These books are not standalones, cliffhanger warning! But they leave you with endings that'll have you begging for just a touch more.
I cannot WAIT until the final book in this triology. I'm on pins and needles for this one y'all.
I definitely recommend this edge-of-your-seat trilogy.
The amount of drama that pans out in this book is like mind blowing. I thought Caleb was going to stay mad at her for longer than that, but he really caved so quick. i’ve got to admit, Caleb grew on me when he paid for Juliet’s Mother’s care. There something about him taking care of her mom that has me swooning hard. Olivia is starting to be a real bitch. I wish Caleb would just let Juliet in on his secrets because I think she’s actually smarter than she lets on and she might be able to help him with what he’s dealing with. I’m really hoping the third book ends in a banger!
“But I’m going to show you, baby.” He vows. “Every pleasure. Every fucking sin. I’m going to ruin you, and you’re going to beg for just another taste.”
I received this book as an ARC. Caleb and Juliet part 2 is just as action packed and full of intrigue as part 1. When the book starts, we wonder if he will ever forgive her for her betrayal that may cost him the family dynasty. As the pages turn, hope flames as they reunite and things are going well. However, Flawless Ruin end with another edge of your seat cliff hanger. Juliet feels threatened but Caleb is heading into war and lashes out. When she leaves, she is in danger and it ends with just as much drama as Flawless Desire. I can not wait for the final part of this trilogy to see how they find their way back and into their HEA. Roxy has really delivered in this series.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
How far will you go for desire? Well you are about to find out. You need to read the first book in this series Flawless Desire first or you are going to be lost. After the ending of Flawless Desire that almost caused me to have a fit, I was so excited to dive into this book. It picks up right where the other book left off and it was so great to be back with these characters. This one really causes you to feel for Juliet because this girl really goes through a lot in this book. After all when your digging up dirt on someone to prove their stealing and then you discover there is so much more to him than you ever thought you are in quiet the mess. I think too that Caleb has this effect on her and we get to see her grow as a person but she knows that she is feeling more for him and she tries her hardest not to get sucked in to his orbit and him. She is also a girl on a mission to fix the wrongs that she has done but Caleb no matter how hard she tires just will not listen to her. Will she be able to succeed or are things just going to go right down the drain in every direction for Juliet. Well you have to read to find out. I loved this book and can not wait to have the third on in my hands.
Once I finished the first book I knew I had to read the second one right away. The hopeless romantic in me was hoping for a happy ending but hopefully the last book will bring it.
Roxy Sloane took me on an emotional rollercoaster throughout this book. Again, this is an ARC so I can’t spoil too much. BUT be prepared to have moments where you want to hug to Juliet for the heartache she’s going through and other times of telling her to get her act together.
I LOVED Caleb and Juliet in Rome and their adventure they took and how her going to Rome gave her a little connection to her mom.
Flawless Ruin will take you by the horns and lead you on a wild emotional and erotic journey. Caleb is still coming to turns of Juliet's betrayal no matter how much he wants her. The hot cold signals he sends her way. Juliet is determined to dig deeper to find the pieces of the puzzle as Olivia and Sebastian try a hostile take over the company. I didn't read Flawless Desire first but I did piece together the story. A fabulous story! Since this is part two of the trilogy there is an explosive cliffy!! I can't wait for next installment Flawless Prize!!
Flawless Ruin is book two in this series and can not be read as a standalone so you need to read book one first before you start this one. We start off where Flawless Desire ends and let me tell you if you thought book one would leave you breathless book two is just as powerful. Juliet is so beautiful and I know she has messed up but she just needs Caleb to listen so that she can pick up the pieces. Caleb is fighting his own battles and these two will try to pick up the pieces that just keep scattering everywhere. Can they move on and fight? Or will it fall apart again?
Loving this series big time. I absolutely love Caleb and Julia. Pretty much all the same characters from the first book in the series. I could not put this book down. There’s so much going on. Caleb and Julia were getting quite close but, she has done something to break his trust. They have insane chemistry but, Caleb is hurt. He is doing some stuff off the books but all for a different reason then Olivia could ever understand. That ending?!?!?! What??? I cannot wait for the final book in the series. This series is definitely becoming one of my favorites. This author never disappoints.
Caleb is set on punishing Juliette for what she has done but he can't stay away from her no matter how hard he tries. Juliette learns the identity of the person who gave the globe to Olivia and her life crumbles from under her at the betrayal. She's quick to become bestfriends with Mara. After one spontaneous trip to Italy, Juliette thinks all is well, but she is still getting threats from an unknown person, which is driving her insane. But through all of the Caleb doesn't take her seriously which brings everything to the surface.

This book has just torn me to pieces. The hot and cold. The games being played. Juliet’s brainless ways for not staying out of it. For interrupting a planning session with “we need to talk about our relationship..” I mean what the heck??? I felt every emotion through her. Everything he said to her, it was like a knife in my heart. He was cold, I get why, but he won’t even sit down and have a conversation with her for Pete’s sake. This series has truly been absolutely fantastic! All the angst, all the heartbreak, all the hotness..it has had everything.
This book picks up right where book one left off. Twists & turns continue in this book. Caleb is trying dig through the past & retrieve answers to things that have happened in the past. Juliet is piecing together some of the secrets of sterling's as well. Olivia & her character gets more evil with each book. Mara is a wonderful support person for Juliet. I'm patiently waiting for the conclusion. The ending was a nail bitter for me .
