Rate this book
Ryoma returns to Gimul after his successful business retreat, having discovered and evolved new slimes and found uses for them along the way. Unfortunately, crime has skyrocketed in Gimul during his absence, to the point where even the familiar Morgan Company has suffered an arson attack.

Ryoma attends a meeting of small business owners in the city to address the rapid increase in crime, but when the host of the conference appears untrustworthy, Ryoma decides to take a stand against the supposed crime stoppers to protect his shop, employees, and Gimul itself.

Another new volume of slow life in a fantasy world for Ryoma, with all-new slimes and all-new magic at his disposal!

A tad slow on the adventuring in this entry, but plenty of slime evolutions, politicking and Ryoma's display of his maturity when push comes to shove. Still a pretty good entry.

Life continues, and Ryoma takes it upon himself to try and solve the issues in town in regards to the sudden influx of people and the crime that came with it. He has many friends though, so he still has some time for experimentation with slimes and as always the gods keep an eye on things.

The story remains an entertaining slice-of-life isekai story, although this volume is a bit shorter then usual. It appears to be a setup for some bigger conflict, which has me somewhat curious. Things still go rather easy for Ryoma, but that is nothing new. A lack of a list of names at the start would also have been useful, but that is a regular complaint with light novels. All in all, a short enjoyable read.

This book is even shorter than the previous book, but it doesn't feel like it. It's quite jam-packed with events and new things. Ryoma's life is far from dull.

The start of this book was tense. That was rather refreshing to see. Normal Ryoma would let it slide but this time, his true feelings leaked out and it's fun to read about it.

The new slimes and new familiars are also enjoyable to read. New things upon new things and Ryoma's time always ends up lacking. But nonetheless, I'm excited to see what more he can do and where more he can go with them. It's always fun to read about him and his slimes.

Ryoma's circle continues to grow, and it's nice to read about him becoming such a key person in Gimul now. His connection spans wide and powerful and reading about that makes me proud of him somehow. He really went from a hermit to a popular person in just a year! I also want to read some more on the nobles and the suspicious people in Gimul. There's definitely more to that and I can't wait to read about them.

We finally get a peek on the Earth gods and the Earth God. It's interesting reading about that. In reality, there are definitely a lot of gods worshipped in this world. So instead of the author going the route of only just having one god or focusing in just one religion or mythology, it's good to see that they opted to represent all of them as a whole. It somehow reminds me of Chinese novels about heavenly realm and something of the sort. I definitely want to know more about the earth gods in this story!

Can't wait for the next!

The secret moves of the other nobles against the duke are showing themselves. It’s also very interesting that the gods can see how the talents for murder that the earth gods put in Ryoma can actually be used to protect others depending on how he chooses to use them in this new world.

How neat that the “extra” stories at the end of the previous books all led to the information that Ryoma’s father’s swords are cursed because he poured his soul into them, and then the swords are given to the gods! Also, it’s interesting that the Takebayashi family had struck a deal with the Old God generations ago. I wonder what it was? The other earth god Yokota said that the Old God messed with Ryoma just on a whim, but I wonder if that’s really true, or if he has a deeper motivation?

Watched the anime!

I watched the anime first and fell in love with the story. I know reincarnation into other worlds is a big plot line for a lot of authors but not everyone can give it such depth. This series was the first light novel I've ever read and I can't wait for the next book. Just too bad it takes so long from Japan to US release. I really want to see Ryoma prosper and live happily.

💚💜💙💛

I first was introduced to this series by the anime, and I loved it. When I saw that there were light novels I could not purchase them fast enough. It took about a week to finish all of the volumes that were already released, and I cannot wait to read more about Grace, and see what adventures/ inventions our boy accomplishes. FYI, I see that paperback is also an option, which I love because now I can not only have a digital, but a physical copy as well!!

Awsome

Love this series can't wait for the next one and when are they gonna bring back the Duke's daughter she was great. Of course Ryoma seems to have completely forgotten her. I also miss the Duke's wife how she interacts with Ryoma is great kinda brings a tear to my eye. Anyway next book please.

Last time I checked Fernobelia was a man but for some reason they turned him into a woman in this volume. What are you doing translator 😑 even in the anime he was a he. Aside from this, I hope Ryoma gains some money out of all his business ideas otherwise I'm gonna rant. Also, why are the books getting shorter?

Good story

While, I love the story… the characters and everything seem to be going well… And it’s one endless plot. My problem is the incredibly shrinking story… Each book has less pages than the next. It never feels like it resolves… And it’s developing the feel of a soap opera.

Way too short.

These books have all seemed short, especially for the price. However the story was really good. This volume was all over the place and too quickly ended.

I need my fix

While waiting on the compilation of chapters to come together in book form, I get my fix by reading chapters online. But each take so long to come out

Good

I have read the stories till now and this one is more serious than the others. I didn't dislike it but I didn't expect it to turn this way from the get go.

Good

I'm just excited to Ser what is going to happen in the next volume. I hope no war happens. I can't believe the gods are too enthusiastic about Ryoma.

A 5hr audio book. This series so far, if added all up is like one 'Wheel of Time' book in length, lol. This is the end of the line for me unless the library gets more.

Ryoma Takebayashi's adventures continue in By The Grace Of The Gods Volume 10. We find the source behind the issues popping up in Gimul, and they turn out to have Noble backing. Some people don't like the Jamil family and indirectly declare war on them.

Ryoma comes up with solutions to the city's problems singlehandedly. He gets the aid of the Duke and all of the people around him. He starts a trash collection service and processing plant, a security agency, and a doctor's office.

The gods of Seilfall finally meet some of the gods of Earth, and they gift them Ryoma's Keepsake swords. So we hear about the Old One or the god that created Earth.

I enjoyed the book. Thanks for reading my review, and see you next time.

It was a shorter novel but not as short as some light novel series, I have found. Ryoma deals with rising crime in his adopted hometown. There are also new Slimes and perhaps a villin finally emerges.

The novel was a bit sort. The plot does move, but it's more just setting up the next volume. Still an enjoyable read, but could have been better.
