Following Maggie, by Melanie Moreland, is part of a nine book series by nine different authors. This is a short, insta love, feel good story that I didn’t know I needed. It is full of love, kindness, found family and small town togetherness.

Maggie Andrews is on her way back to the only place that has really ever felt like home. But will it still be home when she gets there. Her life is at a crossroads and she’s not sure how things will turn out. But currently, she’s in limbo as she is stuck in an airport with a raging snow storm happening outside. All she wants is a quiet corner to rest. That’s when she finds him, the beautiful man sleeping in an awkward position whose mere presence seems to calm her.

Sebastian Ruggers is twenty five years old. He has spent the last few years chasing his dream only to come up empty. Now he is faced with returning home to a life that holds no appeal to him at all but he has no other choice. Stuck in the airport during the storm, he opens his eyes from a nap only to be staring into the beautiful face of an angel.

The connection between these two is instant and strong. But their lives are going to two different places. Their time together has to end when their flights resume. Or does it? The closer to that time they become, the more it is clear that it isn’t what they want. Is it crazy to trust your future to an almost complete stranger? Or was it fate that brought them together in that airport to give them a glimpse of what their lives could be together? Are they brave enough to risk everything for something they didn’t even know they needed?

This was such a wonderful, heart warming, angst free story. I have been super sensitive lately with how the characters in the books I read are treated, how they feel. This book restores my faith in love, kindness and friendship. Sebastian and Maggie were both floundering, not knowing where life was leading them, until they met and it all became clear. That their lives had been leading them to that moment, the moment when their hands first touched. After that, all they had to do was follow their hearts and happiness would be waiting for them.

Sometimes you need to read a romance with low angst to make you feel good and believe in true love, and Following Maggie by Melanie Moreland will do just that. This is a full-length, stand-alone book on the shorter side, and can easily be read in under two hours. If you are familiar with the author’s insta-spark series, then you will love this!

We all are a bit broken and have burdens that we often carry ourselves, and Sebastian Ruggers and Maggie Andrews are no different. They meet while stranded in an airport and had a profound, inexplicable, connection. These two virtual strangers open-up to one another, trust what they have is worth taking a chance on, and become each other’s person. And by blind faith, they heal each other.

Maggie was still grieving over the loss of her parents, and Sebastian had a very toxic relationship with his own father and didn’t want to return home. The author always writes such moving words that you feel very deeply and become invested in their lives. Her characters are so likeable and you will route for them the entire time.

In Following Maggie, Sebastian is such a stand up guy. He’s humble and unpretentious, with the dream of making money off of his music. He’s realistic and optimistic and it was so heartwarming to see Maggie believe in him and be so encouraging. Even though he had nothing to offer her but his heart, he stepped up to the plate without any hesitation, looking for a job and wanted to provide and protect her.

I loved how they complimented each other, and how they were so at ease and authentic, right from the start. They went from being alone in the world to feeling loved and cherished. The supporting characters were wonderful and added so much to this small-town romance. I especially loved their neighbors who were so welcoming and generous. They only had eyes for each other and their sexy times were very sweet and loving, and their entire relationship felt like kismet. They both supported each other wholeheartedly and genuinely tried to make the other happy and had me smiling page after page.

"I'll love you until you don't remember what your life was like before I showed up."
I'm going to make it as simple as I can. This is a quick, sweet read that packs a lot of feeling. I found myself holding back tears. Yeah, I may be an emotional mess, but this caught me off guard.

"If you change your mind, I'll follow you anywhere you wanted."
I'm not an instalove fan, so it takes something special for me to enjoy an instalove book. I found myself loving Maggie and Sebastian from the get-go.
It's a simple story that's been told before, I'm sure.
They meet at an airport, when they can't really go anywhere because there's a storm. Their connection is fast and overwhelming. Two people who don't seem to quite fit anywhere, who aren't sure of their future or what they're looking for. Who don't feel like they belong... find out they belong together.

"As long as you're part of the equation, it will always be enough."
Once they realize they need to take a chance on whatever there is between them, Sebastian follows Maggie home, unaware that his home is likely to be wherever she is.
Everything fits seamlessly. There is no angst. There is a lot of love, friendship, and the family you create, because sometimes the one you have is really not that good.

"Wherever you are, Angel. That's where I'll be."
"Home."
And she was right. I'd come home."

If you ever found yourself chasing dreams and having doors slammed in your face...
If you ever found yourself wishing you were enough...
If you want to feel hopeful that there's still someone out there for you...
If you think a home can be someone, and not just a place...
... then this novella is for you. I am definitely all of the above.

But when the flights get rebooted and are about ready to go Sebastian makes a grave mistake he tells Maggie that he has nothing to offer her that he has to stop whatever maybe happening between them. But fate has other ideas following Maggie is the best decision Sebastian has ever made because they both find their home and their family.

Maggie is on her own, heading back to a place that was once home but now is empty. She is stuck in the airport because of a snowstorm and meets Sebastian in a quirky only Maggie way. She tends to want to take care of people. Sebastian believes she is his angel and as they talk for hours, they both realize they have something special.

Sebastian is going to live a life contrary to what he wants, selling his soul to the devil, so to speak. Maggie offers another choice, a more uncertain but more fulfilling and exciting life. One filled with love and happiness. All he has to do is follow Maggie.

This novella is what you need even if you don't know it! I kept worrying that something was going to happen to put a wrench in their lives and then was so relieved it didn't happen! It is so soothing to read a sweet book like this; Maggie and Sebastian were so darn loveable!

A beautiful short story, part of the Coming Home series, Maggie and Sebastian meet when trapped at the airport during a snowstorm. This is a sweet and adorable story, Sebastian has not had a lot of kindness in his life and Maggie is filled with it.

They take a chance on an instant attraction and create a wonderful life together, surrounded by a family they create for themselves of wonderful people in a small town. This has all the elements of a Melanie Moreland story, my only problem is I now want to read more about all the people in the town :)

A snow storm brought them together. And continued to blanket them in a layer of love and perfection. The wind blew Maggie and Sebastian, two lost and lonely people, in the direction of a hea in this insta-swoony, sweet read. It was a quick read but lacked nothing as the author takes us on a journey that makes us believe in destiny and true love.

An expected snowstorm brings together two lonely souls that are estranged in the airport waiting for the next chapter of their lives. Following the death of her mother and her father Maggie is returning to her home town to a new beginning. Sebastian is a musician and things haven't look bright to his side right now and he is too coming home to his ruthless father. Upon their encounter at the airport, Sebastian decides to follow Maggie and start again without his father. This is the best decision and they fall in love in the best way possible. This is a romantic, sexy and beautiful book written by Melanie Moreland.
I just loved it!

If you're looking to spend some time with really likeable characters and want to read a "feel good" book, may I suggest Following Maggie. Ms. Moreland does a fabulous job writing stories on the shorter side with no less depth than a full-blown novel. Her characters are masterfully written; the story line is fully developed and the real test in my eyes is that I feel like I've read an entire series even though it was a short read. Maggie and Sebastian's journey has very little angst, but a whole lot of heart! If you love Ms. Moreland's Insta-Spark collection, you will adore this read. Sweet, swoony read that will put a smile on your face and make you believe in soulmates. I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to read an early copy of this book.

This is the instalove story of a chance meeting between Maggie and Sebastian and how it progresses to them being together.
Easy to read with a fast pace leading to their hea , just right for making you feel good , but still with enough story to keep you hooked.
As usual with Melanie's books ,I am left with my warm fuzzy feeling of contentment xxx

Maggie and Sebastian's story was sweet and emotional. Two people meeting during a blizzard at the airport, when both are struggling makes their connection deeper. As all Melanie Moreland's stories, this one is also full of depth, a turmoil of emotions and a sweet romance that blooms into becoming a forever. When reality is hard, remember there is always a way and somebody there to help you.

Following Maggie
(part of the Coming Home Series)
Written by: Melanie Moreland

From the very first page, the tears started flowing and I realized this story is going to send me into a whirlwind of emotions and those emotions will play me like a well-tuned guitar.

Maggie Andrews has had a very rough time of late; she quit school and went to stay with her sick mother, who had recently passed. She’d left her father back in Riverstoke, Alberta and while she was gone he had a massive heart attack and was suddenly gone. She was a bit of a mess, but you can tell she is a survivor. She would go home and make things work.

She met Sebastian Ruggers in a quiet area of a snowed in airport. He was on his way to Vancouver. He was going to a job that wasn’t his choice, an apartment that he had never seen and a father who had nothing good to say about Sebastian, he had never supported his son. Sebastian wasn’t happy and it was quite visible.

A good place to learn about a person is on the floor in an airport where no one is going anywhere. All you have is time and in Sebastian and Maggie’s case time with each other sharing secrets was what they needed to not only ignite a little spark but also allow that spark to grow into what could develop into a beautiful love story. Sebastian has a choice, go where he doesn’t want to go or follow Maggie. What do you think he decided to do?

Will this work? There may be struggles but they have a very soothing effect on each other and it’s their love story that brings the smiles and laughs and sighs. There are fast friendships forged, a surprise for Sebastian and a final showdown.

So, yes, I cried, but that ended and I had a wonderful read about love, friendships and making a new life with a new love. Thank you Melanie Moreland!

Trapped in an airport due to a snowstorm that has grounded all flights, Maggie meets Sebastian and an instant attraction is felt by both. Through hours of conversation the two feel the connection but do not know what should happen next. With a spark Sebastian puts his heart and his future in following Maggie to her home - only to understand that this is where he should be. Fate brings them together and love keeps them there - but it is the true meaning of home that makes this a heartwarming read. Once again Melanie Moreland proves that it is not the length of the story but the magnitude of the story that make her a wonderful author that is always an awesome read.

This was such a beautiful romance. It may be a fast-paced read but the emotions are intense, and The Feels are colossal. Maggie and Sebastian are incredibly genuine characters. You will have no problem connecting with them or relating to them. In fact, it is sinfully easy to picture yourself or someone you know as these characters and that means you are going to fall for them hard! Their story and the romance that blossoms from it is the kind we all think is impossible and yet we secretly dream of and yeah, it is going to have your heart melting into a puddle as you swoon. It is sweet, steamy, emotional and deeply moving. I loved it. I am independently posting an impartial review.

Maggie is feeling alone and uncertain of what the future may hold so she is returning to the one place that made her feel safe even though she realizes that many things have changed. Finding herself stranded in an airport waiting for the weather to clear she comes across a fellow passenger and their meeting will change both their lives.

Sebastian has only ever wanted to be a musician however he is running out of options and money so he is facing the prospect of returning home to job he doesn’t want. When he meets Maggie he feels an instant connection to her but is their time in the airport meant to be nothing but a beautiful memory or the beginning of something so much more.

This is a heartwarming story about family, love and realizing that is the people you surround yourself with that brings true happiness and their romance is an experience you don’t want to miss.

Maggie and Sebastian meet at a airport of all places. They had a connection like they never felt before and didn’t want to leave one another though that’s what they thought was going to happen. The title says it all. Sebastian does follow Maggie home and they have a happy ending. Also like any other Melanie story it needs to be longer. 😂

When you need a feel-good story that puts a grin on your face, all you need to do is turn to a Melanie Moreland Insta-Spark book. Following Maggie is part of the Coming Home multi-author series where each theme of the story is about "Love finding your way home."

In several social media posts, Ms. Moreland said she had drafted this story years ago inspired by the real-life story of a couple who met and married while stranded in a storm layover in Canada.

Sebastian and Maggie find themselves stranded in a terminal awaiting the storm to lift and continue their travels. There is something about each other that reaches out and touches the other. A connection and a need to know more. The story doesn't stop there. Ms. Moreland follows the couple as they travel to a small town for them both to start over.

Once again the storytelling gives you an evening read for the sheer enjoyment of watching a pair fated to meet fall in love and find their home. Touching, laughs, and sexy times as you'll always find in an engaging novel.

Recommendation: Get to reading and make your heart happy!

Snowed in at an airport, with no where to go, finding a place to rest, but Maggie ends up finding the love of her life in said weird situation. Sebastian and Maggie's story is instalove, instaeverything and I was here for it! A short story on following your heart. Sebastian is heading home, but home is nowhere he wants to be. While Seb and Maggie spend their time together stuck in the airport, they really click and get to know each other. They can't seem to part with each other, so he's following Maggie home. There is father drama, there are surprises, there is sexiness, there is a small town, there are really fun side characters. Just a feel good book!!!! I really enjoyed these two together!

I love Sebastian and Maggie!! This is a story of two lost and lonely people that are headed to unknown places until fate steps in and hands them a life they never knew existed. Maggie has lost so much in life but a chance meeting with Sebastian literally sets her life on a course she never thought possible. Sebastian feels as though his life is heading nowhere until fate steps in and sets him free. Alone neither can see a happy life but together? Well maybe anything is possible. Short, sweet and a completely lovable story with a few totally unsuspected twists!!

Not knowing what she would do. Maggie was stranded at an airport during a snowstorm. Trying to find comfort she found a less crowded area to rest in.
Sebastian had fallen asleep in an uncomfortable position and Maggie found her way over to him. And the story begins. I absolutely loved this book could not put it down. So many surprises and some headaches but this book is one I'm sure ill read over and over again. This is why this author will always have my up most respect and support.

If you are a fan of Melanie’s Instaspark books you will love her contribution to the Coming Home series. Maggie finds herself stuck in an airport after weather has canceled flights and booked hotels. She is going back home after taking care of her ailing mother. While trying to sleep she is drawn to Sebastain as he too wrestles with sleep. These two make an instant connection and bond through shared heartache. But they know their time together is short as the weather starts to clear. Sebastian is headed to a future he is anticipating with apprehension. His life has not gone the way he had once hoped. But meeting Maggie and making a life altering decision could give him more. Sebastian and Maggie are both a little lost, the places and people they call home are either gone or disgruntled. They discover the real meaning of family and home as their relationship grows.
I thought this was a sweet and quick read that would be perfect between larger books or when you aren’t ready to commit to a new indept read. The conflict was never between the two main characters so the angst is almost nonexistent. And it is a good reminder about what it truly means to be successful and have a home.

4.5 star review Following Maggie by Melanie Moreland
I enjoy Melanie Moreland’s writing; she has a way with words that draws you in and keeps you invested. Her characters are always easy to relate to and I found myself hooked in Maggie Andrews and Sebastian Rugger’s story.
When an unexpected snowstorm traps them in an airport, neither Maggie or Sebastian realize that fate is about to change their lives in ways neither could imagine. From the moment they met, there is a connection between them that is hard to ignore.
This is a book that made me feel good and left me with a smile on my face. Although this is not a long book, Ms. Moreland packs a lot into it and there is depth to the characters and the story. This story is romantic, sweet and had me swooning on a number of occasions. Following Maggie brought me to tears and I loved that their journey came from friendship and morphed into love.

Sweet with a big old helping of steamy, Following Maggie is a must read!!

Two lost souls find each other in a busy airport. Sebastian is making a big move when his music career stalls when he find Maggie. She is reeling from a huge loss and trying to decide where home will be now. As they take a chance on each other they have to trust themselves enough to find love.

I absolutely adored this feel good story. No real angst or drama, just two lovely people, finding their way to each other.

“Wherever you are, Angel. That’s where I’ll be.”

Sebastian is about as swoony a hero as they come. Maggie is small and first, ready to fight for her man. I loved every page!!
