Het Einde der Tijden is een roman die u niet graag zult willen missen. In dit boek neemt David Dolan u mee op een spannende tocht naar het einde van deze wereld. Vanuit de huidige gebeurtenissen in het Midden-Oosten en in de wereld geeft hij vanuit zijn Joodse denken invulling aan de bijbelse profetieën zoals deze over de eindtijd beschreven staan. De romanvorm die hij hiervoor heeft gekozen, zal u heel wat uurtjes leesgenot schenken.

Eli Ben-David en zijn boezemvriend Jonathan worden in de nacht opgeroepen om wegens de toegenomen spanningen op de Golanhoogten hun land te gaan verdedigen. De messiaanse gemeente waar ze toe behoren, besluit die avond een bidstond te houden. Al spoedig volgt een massale Syrische aanval met chemische raketten op Israël.
De wereld houd de adem in wanneer Israël reageert door atoombommen op Damascus te werpen. Als vervolgens in Europa een vredesconferentie belegd wordt, treedt een dynamische jonge prins naar voren als wereldleider. Tegelijk verschijnen twee oude Joodse mannen bij de Westelijke Muur. Terwijl zo profetie na profetie vervuld wordt, beweegt de wereld zich via een steeds sneller wordende cyclus van gebeurtenissen naar de laatste strijds, de oorlog van Armageddon.

David Dolan is als journalist in Israel gestationeerd. Hij heeft al veel gebeurtenissen daar meegemaakt waaronder de Golfoorlog en alles wat daarop gevolgd is. Door zijn werk is hij expert geworden op het gebied van Israel en het Midden Oosten. Hij is ook de auteur van het boek: Holy War for the Promised Land.

This book started out quite silly in a fun kind of way. However, it steadily descended into a pit of hate and intolerance, the absolute worst kind of religious fruitcakery. An absolutely disgusting book with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

In this story "The End of Days" by David Dolan, two strong religious countries are in the middle of the biggest and deadliest chemical war that's close to a World War 3. An ex Jewish army man named Jonathon died in the middle of the war leaving his wife Sarah, who's now a widow, his two children,boy and girl, and his most closest friend who was also in his army unit during the war,Eli. The most interesting character that I find is Eli because how strong his heart is with the Lord and Sarah's feelings. Eli has been there with Jonathon and his family for about as long as the war that has been going on for months. Ever since Jonathon died that day in the war, Eli has been caring for the kids and making sure that Sarah will hold up well. My very least favorite part of the was when Russia and Syria teamed up to bomb Israel. Its horrible because they think that Israel is weak so that's their chance to attack and take over because Israel relies on their god. But the Israel isn't as weak as they think but much smarter and can maneuver during the nuclear attack. I would recommend this book to my friends because if they want to enjoy a good warlike book then this is one of them. This also gives us a little bit of how the Jews live their Christianity life during a war.The author also shows how America is there to help them out during their major time of need but the Israels seem to not need it. This book also puts your imagination to a whole new level by the nuclear bombs exploding, the guns firing and many more excitement.

An apocalyptic novel that centres itself around a young couple and their Christian faith and how this helps them to deal with the end of the world. A biblically based version of the acopalypse "The End of Days" explores what it means to be a Christian and a Jew in the world. He explores this through in depth Christian and biblical philosophy and doctrine and produces a novel for both the young and the old, the Christian and the non-Christian. "The End of Days" moves quickly and is certaily a worthwhile read.
