The thrilling conclusion to the Hunter Moon Academy series.
Packless. Clawless. Heartless.
I’ve survived them all.
But the Cold Moon is coming, and between my ruthless grandfather, and the Devil of the Horn, my life as I know it will never be the same.
Fearless is a full-length paranormal romance and is the final book in the Hunter Moon Academy series. It is a continuing story, so Books 1 to 3 must be read first.
Fearless is the last in the HMA series, and it is a perfect ending to the Jasper and Vale tale.
The book picks up where Heartless left off, and the continuity of this series has been one of the things I have most loved. The voice of Vale as she grows throughout the series into this badass who is ready to take on baddies to save her loved ones is strong and true. I had some issues with Jasper because I think he's shown some moments of genuine stupidity in the series, but I have to say he is a real book boyfriend in Fearless.
BUT strangely enough, my absolute hero is the Devil of the Horn in this book. I fell in total love with Trey, and who'd a thunk that? Not me.
Fearless finally catches up to the events in Marrow, and you get to see Vale's side of what happens at her Grandfather's estate--none of which is good. Seeing the two books sync up is a revelation. WOOT! The whole world that Simone Leigh Martin is building cracks open, and it's marvelous.
Highly recommend this series! Five stars of five!

Wow, just wow… Yet another really great read with heaps of drama and action…. And what a magnificent ending to such a great series…. The roller coaster ride gets really hairy in this final book, but it’s well worth the ride…. Seriously could not put it down, like at all… Great author, great book and great series…
A good conclusion to the series. Author wrapped up most/all loose ends. Easy read, enjoyable pacing, some suprises. Overall, a very good series. I will definitely follow this author to see what she writes next.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was amazing and so heartbreaking. I love Vail and Jaspar but also the exploration of the different shifter types. In a way i wish there was more of these character but the story was wrapped up pretty well.
this was a wonderfully done conclusion to the hunter moon academy, it had what I enjoyed from the previous three books. The characters were still great and I can't wait to read more from the author.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
SYNOPSIS (of 4 Book series): The FC, Veil, was brought up, after her father died, by his best friend and son in a remote mountain area. They’re poor and live a simple, hard life. The FC is sent to Hunter Moon Academy which turns out to be for shifters. It’s there she finds out that shifters exist but that she whilst she is shifter she is different. She is a shifter who cannot turn or has no wolf. She is bullied by the 3 ruling alphas and a female alpha despite being claimed by one of them. The story covers how the FC learns who and what she is, how she survives at the Academy whilst considered the lowest of the shifter community and the reality of the shifter world and powerplays where she is caught in the middle. The shifter world in this story is very hierarchical with those of lesser standing treated very badly.
🌶️🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆 - the sex scenes are not too many but the are well written and hot.
I really enjoyed this series right up until the last book. It is hard going as the FC goes through some real crap and is relentlessly bullied and put down. Usually with this type of storyline the bullying will stop or reduce after the first or maybe second book but the FC just kept going through one thing after another right up until Book 4 so it was quite relentless and full of angst. At times I struggled with the fact that Veil never seems to get a break and it just seems to be one thing after another but there was enough happening and secrets revealed that it kept me gripped and reading on. What also kept me engaged was the idea that Veil would get to the light and happiness and those who had harmed her or tried to put her down would get their comeuppance. Unfortunately that did not happen and that massively impacted my view of this series. This has got to be one of the worst series for dragging things out and making things as dark as possible and the FC suffer but NOT then see any of the villains punished or things coming good. The whole climax was rushed considering the 3.5 Books I had to wade through to get there and then there was just nothing. Even the HEA was‘t really a HEA but more a „make do“ with what we have. Honestly I was in shock and almost threw my kindle at the wall I was so upset!
There are a lot of typos and a lack of editing but otherwise the writing is good and the story is solid with a decent amount happening to keep you invested. As mentioned the story is dark, not so much in terms of anything specific just the whole feel of the book is depressing and nothing positive happens to the FC. The bullying and putting down are relentless and the treatment of shifters considered less is just horrible. In addition, the MCs are very hard to like especially Callum who is just foul. The hierarchical rigidity of the shifters, the disgusting treatment of the duds and the absolute brutality and lack of empathy of any of the alphas is hard to get your head around especially as it is perpetuated by the MCs. A point to note is that this is not an RH - it took me quite a while to work that out.
We reach the big denouement and climax battle but actually don’t get much described to us about the fight. Just snapshots of different parts. There is too much happening during the big fight scene and whilst you get some real time description alot of what happened was described after the fact which meant you didn’t get the full picture or story. It left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. Why do authors do that? Spend large amounts of time with build up, creating horrible villains and then just rush through the finale? There were too many frustrating bits to list- Jasper’s mother didn’t end up having to admit what she had done was wrong or grovel; there’s no reference to Callum and what happened with him or any apology and nothing about Pearl or Lucius or Jonathan - what a let down. The big finale is all over quickly and we then spend longer reading about Veil’s depression and the afteraffects than the actual big finale. So disappointing.
The actual ending itself whilst technically a HEA does not leave you feeling particularly happy or satisfied. The main villains just disappear and are simply referred to in passing so you don’t actually know what happened to them and there’s no vengeance or concept of evil being brought down or changes being made to the shifter world.
Unfortunately despite this author clearly being able to weave a strong narrative I won’t be reading any future books. I don’t like spending my time getting invested in characters only to be left hanging.
I’ve read the entire series now and have waited to leave a review. The first book was slow, but intriguing. From there, it went downhill. (Spoiler alert) I’m not really sure why the big secret from her dad. And then, mating with Trey and then killing him off, that ruined the mood of the last book. Up until then they were ok. And then morning someone she never really liked when she had a mate she loved. (SMH) This author seemed to struggle with adult reading versus teen, important parts skipped or rushed. But the worst part was the ending. So much was skipped through and the final mating/turning into a wolf was about one paragraph, even though all four books were about these two characters. And the mood was solemn, almost sad really. And there’s a lot of typos. Honestly, I won’t be reading anything from this author again.
I couldn’t have loved this last book more. The way that everything was naturally resolved it never felt rushed or forced was brilliant. I however am now missing these characters that have worked their way into my heart. This is one of the series that I know I will revisit time and time again. It brings so many emotions out and was just so well written.
Simone is certainly a must read author for me and I cant wait to see how she will destroy my heart and keep me in suspense only to fix it all next time.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was the perfect ending to this series. It took us from the start on this ride with Vail trying to navigate her way through the shifter world. She was a strong character and was glad to see her shine on her own. Jasper and her were meant to be and finally realized this. She took down her grandfather and his cronies but with devistating consequences. All in all this was a perfect ending to a great series . The battle isn’t over, for vails shifter shape, nor the alpha of the moon clan…
When the tough start hurting others, the protectors kick into action. That is one thing protectors learn in any shape, if there are others in need, the warrior instinct will kick in, and pay the price for those we love. As the battle kicks in, unfortunately vail and those she love will pay the price, but it is willingly paid by the warriors. A good end, but one that seems like it’s also a beginning.
I absolutely loved all 4 books in the HMA series! I cried over several pages of this last book but it really was an HEA! The only thing I was hoping would be here but was not was what happened when Cal finally talked to Jaspar! Maybe Ms. Martin will grace us in the future with ONE more book that lets us know! I really thought it would be tied up by the end but it still seemed to be left hanging in the air! No matter what, I highly suggest the whole HMA series if you like paranormal romance!!!
Honestly Im so sad that this series turned to this. While book1&2 was a fast paced actuon based still with feelings but I didnt like b3&4 that much. Even in b4 there were minutes I actually disliked the heroine. Too much overthinking too much internal struggels and unnescessary description. So this book was even less enjoyable for me as the previous even with the ending.
Loved all 4 books , Happy that Vail and Jasper finally and truly bonded and her wolf finally showed up . Not really into cat shifters but you really made these Panthers come to life . Vail was a little ditsy for most of all 4 books but then again she is a teenager . Interesting story though kept me reading back to back . You get a little bit of everything in these books , young or older you'll enjoy them .
Honestly the most unpredictable-edge-of-your-seat shifter series I’ve read in a while! (And I read a LOT). There’s heartbreak, betrayal, twists and turns and the most beautiful HEA. I thought it might be heading into a RH at numerous points but the way Simone handled this love story is so beautiful and unique I would give my right eye to re-read it again for the first time, even with limited sight due to the whole one eye thing.
Amazing I was hooked on these series and was the first series I read on my kindle. Absolutely loved the whole story and couldn’t drag my eyes away from it. I would love to see more about jasper and basil especially how she deals with her wolf seeing as the whole story was about her not being able to connect to her wolf. Hopefully the author comes up with something in the future or even to do a follow story with their daughter Alana.
This last book turned Trey into a prop. I was honestly horrified and heartbroken for him. Ada’s response to his storyline and bff status with FMC made zero sense. I’d never, ever bff up someone who rejected my sibling at every opportunity, only ever spoke to him if she needed something, and ultimately created that end for him. And how did FMC panther side not abandon her after her ruthless treatment of her mate?
Loved the series, my only complaint was the lack of interaction and understanding regarding Trey and his mate bond with Vail. He seemed like an important character with a deep bond shared with Vail panther and we were given tiny snippets of his feelings. Otherwise I enjoyed reading this series and watching Vail grow into hersel
This series has captured my imagination and this final book continues that trend. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book just as much as the previous books. The lead female character is unique and simply captivating in her strength of conviction. A wonderful ending to the series.
I requested a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely LOVED Vail and Jasper’s story! The ups and downs, fights for their mate and shifters throughout the entire series were so good! Watching them all learn to wit together though the mystery and intrigue. Bravo! Such a great series. I’m sad to see it end!
This concluded this series so well; the unanswered questions of the series were answered and loose end tied up well. There are still a few surprises and twists. I really enjoyed the pacing. I enjoyed the series and this ending.
An intense addition in this exciting series as characters mature and relationships are formed but some are lost as the price to fighting the good fight must be paid. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Fearless, the fourth book of the Hunter Moon Academy series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Nice action-packed conclusion to the series. Ending was a bit weak after all the suspense and twists in the plot, but I'm happy with the way everything turned out
I'm not going to rate this one because I didn't read the second half. I'm not someone that enjoys huge suspense, so I skipped to the end to get a feel for what was going to happen, saw a character I liked got killed off and decided I didn't want to read any more. That's totally on me.

Her grandfather is giving Vail as a prize on her 18 th birthday, despite that she's already mated. Jasper( her wolf mate) tries to protect her, and Trey( her panther mate) dies doing so.
This book begins with Vail and Jasper. Yaya, finally, the moments I have been waiting for this couple. Many issues still exist in this book, and things seem to be stacked against them.
This book becomes an addicting page-turner as they battle for their rights against enemies, personal and foreign. Jasper is intense in this book, and a lot of stuff happens.
This book ends surprisingly, but I loved every minute of this read. I love Jasper and Vail as they came into themselves and their shifters.
I got to say I really enjoyed this series. I finished all 4 books in 3 days. Simone kept me on the edge of my seat. If you enjoy shifter romance this is a must read.!
FEARLESS A PARANORMAL SHIFTER ROMANCE ( HUNTER MOON ACADEMY BOOK 4
I really enjoyed this series. The storyline and characters were amazing. I didn't want to put it down !! If you like shifters and romance with a few twists, you will love it.
