Boy meets secretive girl - whirlwind insta love
🔻
Boy and girl marry - unconventional
🔻
Girl leaves; comes back 2 days every few months
🔻
For 5 years
🔻
Boy needs more - girl leaves - boy follows
🔻
Revelation: she leaves cos she's protecting him from the evil cult she belongs to
🔻
Outside drama ensues - no wavering of their deep love for each other
🔻
More bad stuff happens
🔻
Good stuff happens
🔻
Nice epilogue
🔻
I wish:
*they communicated more
*she was as committed to their relationship as he was and didn't use him for booty calls for 5 damn years
🔻
I don't like:
*this misguided martyr heroine
*this telling instead of showing
*this I-don't-know-you-but-I-love-you-&-will-give-up-my-life-for-you hero
🔻
* Loved catching up with this series' previous Hxhs and their families!
Great to see how they've grown yet the author has kept the essence of each character the same:

Landry is still loving and worthy / Tenny is still sweet and caring
Laurent is still an irreverent sceptic / Bethany is still pregnant. Again
Savage is still the gorgeous growly alpha / Lucinda is still high maintenance

It's ok-ish if you don't mind jumping right in the middle of the story :'(

They meet OFF page
They fall in love OFF page
THEY MARRY OFF PAGE
The first month they were together OFF PAGE
We start the story when they've been married 5 freaking years!!!
They see each others every 3 months 1 weekend and that's it!!!
They basically know nothing about each others, past, family, nothing.
They are married in secret.
The point is that with all those important thing OFF page we can't connect with them at all!!!
He never put his foot down in those 5 years to know where his fucking wife go without a way to contact her!!!!!no phone, nothing!!! HOW?????
They don't even talk about fidelity lol , thankfully they both were but still HOW CAN YOU STAY LIKE THAT?
The truth was discovered pretty fast and at 30% of it? i got bored they did nothing other than have sex and stay hidden ... *eyes rolling* i even start skipping and i didn't lose much of it lol.
It's such a shame because it had potential... but not in the way this plot was wrote, also i don't know why i'm still trying to read this author books , i basically dnf all of the last one's :(

I have been intrigued by Lawrence from the first book and always felt there was more to the quiet brother than met the eye. Definitely the case. This was a complicated story with plot twists I didn’t see coming.

I’m glad he finally got his HEA and I loved the epilogue.

I received an arc of this book

This was a great ending to a great series!

I had been waiting for Lawrence's story since the first time we were introduced to him! Lawrence has always been a mystery and learning that he has been married the past five years unbeknownst to his family kept his story very intriguing. I very much enjoyed Rory and him as a couple, and the suspense surrounding Rory and why she wasn't fully enmeshed in Lawrence's life was definitely dramatic and different and kept me reading to discover what would happen next.

This installment to the series was very different from the previous ones. I had been anticipating a lot more drama around their evil matriarch, but she makes only a rare appearance. I do wish we had spent a little more time with Rory and Lawrence when they first met and were married. This was a great ending to a great series!

Lawrence or (Lawry is how he is known) has a wife, Rory, that nobody knows about. Five years they have kept this marriage a secret. But Rory has the biggest secret of all. Lawrence is possibly the nicest person in the world, but he's tired of the secrets and wants a real life with his wife. Rory has to let him go. I was guessing a lot throughout this book. Hayley Faiman has once again woven a tale that will shock you with everything that is going on. I literally did not put this book down. For once I wasn't sure how it was going to end. There is so much intensity, anguish, and torment, it consumed me. I am telling you, read this book, but be ready for the unexpected.

I have been SO curious about Lawrence through the other books in this series. And now we get his story.
I was not prepared! I was not expecting this!
I was sent on a rollercoaster of emotions as I read what was going with his wife that was only with him occasionally.
I wonder if I am a warped human because I am fascinated by this. I can't understand yet again am fascinated by how people live like this. Not saying what THIS is because I don't want to spoil it.
I was reading wide eyed with every twist and turn.
Another great story from Hayley Faiman. This why she is one of my favorites, she will go anywhere and everywhere in her writing.

This book is an epic conclusion to this series. I will miss these characters. The intensity of this story kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. I loved seeing Lawrence finally getting the happy ending he was craving.

We have to say we are loving this series. We love the characters, and Rory and Lawrence's story was another good one, with non-stop drama from beginning to end.

Noticing Rory's odd behavior from the beginning of the story, we were trying to figure her out, was she a mafia princess sowing her oats? Or was there another story in which she never wanted to come clean about her and her family? What we learned was far more horrific than we could even imagine.

This is the type of review that hard to write without giving away the plot but, seriously, what the heck was wrong with Lawrence that it took him five years without trying to find out his wife's secrets, and why did he put up with the arrangement for so long?

I have to say that we loved the characters past and present and no matter the strangeness of this couple's marriage, it was clear they loved one another. Lawrence and Rory had awesome chemistry.

Overall we really enjoyed the story, it was filled with secrets, drama had a great cast of characters a had a plot that was surrounded by dangerous characters who had lost their way. When you read a story like this, you have to remember it is fiction because with characters like Rory, she played roulette with her life for 5 years, and it just astounds us that at any given point in her 5 years of marriage, she should have come clean, and we understood her reasoning at first but, her husband and his family had wealth and power, and they could have helped with her fears sooner they weren't just a bunch of nobodies and that just irks me but, Lawrence was at fault as well because he could have hired someone sooner to see who he married, and we felt he was way too trusting of his bride.

The story took some twists and turns and had more than a few surprises but, through it all, we were rooting for a happily ever after for this couple, and when all the danger was said and done we loved how this mysterious marriage played out.

This is part of a series and I only read the very first book in the series. That said I was able to easily follow along and so I think it can stand alone.

It stars Lawrence, a wealthy, family oriented man who at 24 met 18 year old Rory, his current wife. They have been married for over 5 years but he only gets 3 days with her every 3 months. And he wants more. When he demands more she can't share her secrets and so he tells her he needs a divorce.

But he loves her and so he wants to find out her secrets before he heads for divorce court and because he knows she is in trouble. What he finds out is just wow. I don't want to include a spoiler here so I am not spilling Rory' secrets either.

This was a fast read, it was hard to stop reading it and I loved and adored Lawrence and I loved how hard and how impossibly he loves his wife. I also adored how his family reacts to the news of his marriage.

This is not a fun light read. Its high on drama and its very violent. The life that Rory has led and tried to escape is beyond awful. This book was hard for me to read at times. But it was so wonderfully written I also could not put it down. And as Rory deals with the things she does and Lawry stands with her through it all, well I adored him and he is the hero in this story.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

5 Stars!

The infamous Astor Family is back and the mysterious Laurent, the untrusting oldest Astor sibling of the bunch is here to give us his story and y'all, I was not expecting it to go this way, even in the slightest. Laurent was always a big question mark for me from what we got with him in the background of the other books but him and his WIFE'S story? (oh yes, you read that right!)

Whoa.😳 Amiright?!

Occasionally Yours was an emotional, intense, steamy, suspenseful read that hit me in my heart in so many moments and had me wrapped up in all the swoon and heated passion in other moments. The heart was deep at times with this one and Laurent, well what a man he is.

I devoured this beauty when it landed on my kindle and I have zero regrets about it.

Hayley Faiman absolutely knocked it out of the park with the addicting Astor Family Series (every. single. book. but Daddy Astor is still 😍!) and y'all, gahhhhhh. My heart. This family is gonna hold a special place for me and definitely being added to my reread pile.

What. A. Series.

I highly recommend this book.

This book was an amazing 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.

Lawrence has decided that he wants more from his wife, the past 5 years he has only gotten to see her a handful of times. Where does she go when she’s not with him?
Rory is heartbroken when her husband gives her an ultimatum, she can’t let him know her secret so she accepts what he has decided.

There is a twist and Lawrence decides to try and find Rory, he isn’t quite ready to give her up yet. And when he finds out where she is he is determined to get her and bring her home. Will he be able to get her away safely? Can they finally start the family he has dreamed of?

Overall I really loved this book. My heart was racing waiting to see what was coming next. All of the characters added a great element to the story. This couple has become one of my favorites and I really enjoyed their story. If you're looking for a great read then 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Readers’ hearts will melt, pound, break and mend as they travel a twisted and shocking journey with Lawrence and Rory while they try to find a way to be happy together. Just when you think things are going to go a certain direction Ms. Faiman creates another twist, dilemma or obstacle that causes this couple to remain strong and fight for the love and life they want most. Lawrence is a quietly fierce warrior, willing to fight for his wife and the love he feels for her. Rory is courageous and strong in a way that cannot be put into words. Readers should prepare for an emotional rollercoaster that in the end will leave them feeling elated for Lawrence and Rory while also some sorrow at the events that occurred before they finally achieved a future full of love and happiness.

Be aware some readers may be a bit triggered by some events mentioned and experienced by characters in this book, but it is absolutely necessary to the story of these amazing characters.

This story was a look into the world that lives beyond our normal lives of work or school and that the small look into the cults of the world. It’s definitely been in the news in the last few years. This story includes a crazy father and a possessive psycho / wannabe husband who think there was is the only way and everything they say is finals. It also has a great love story about finding each other and making it work even though you are not always seeing each other. The moments that you do really matter. Rory is stuck in this life and has to plan her way out. She is fighting for her life without even knowing how bad it is. Both Rory and Lawrence have not had it easy and they both deal with having a parent that’s a dark, conniving character within their life. Rory goes through so much and remains positive, even through death of loved once and her story of survival! I loved this! It was a different twist on a love story.

written, super engaging, and dark.
Each chapter put me more on edge and the need to know what the hell was happening was super high.
I couldn't stop reading it, I needed to know more and more...
The darkness that surrounded this book was so thick that it took my breath away.
One minute I thought that things were going one way and the next... Bamm... It changed.
How can someone be so twisted? How can someone do harm to others and think that they are God?
This book might be fiction but we all know that this shi*** happens...
How? I don't know.
It was an intense story with so many feelings into it.
And of course, we have some hot stuff into the mix... So hot...
Another great book Hayley... I really loved this series and I'm sad that it's over.  I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

OMG OMG OMG !!!!
I have never been more surprising when reading a book before.
Hayley Faiman you’ve blown my mind.
Lawrence has always been the stoic, sensible, calming factor of the Astor siblings.
Buuut noooo…. We find out he’s been hiding a secret from his family. This secret is no little secret it’s the biggest secret of his life.
Then we meet Rory. She’s a little shy, reserved and they’ve know each other for a few years. And once again another huge secret is being withheld. But her secret is one I never ever saw coming.
Now I cannot reveal what the secrets are or what happens to the Astors but I will tell you this book will blow your mind….
I’ve probably said this before but this is one of my top five favorite Hayley Faiman books.

This is the fourth book in this series and is Lawrence and Rory’s story. Lawrence is the quiet level-headed one out of his siblings, but he has been keeping a secret from them, and he now want what all his sibling are achieving while finding their significant others. Lawrence and Rory are married, but they spend one weekend together every three months, and they know nothing about each other. Lawrence eventually gives Rory an ultimatum which breaks her heart in the process. This is a well written story which is filled with drama, undeniable chemistry, secrets, twists, truths, family, twists, turmoil, anguish, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Wow! Hayley blew me away with where she took Lawrence’s story. Nothing in the past 3 books in this series gave us any clue what could possibly be his story. Be prepared to stay up all night once you start reading this book. I couldn’t put it down.

Lawrence and Rory’s journey is rough. To the max. Horrible moments where you wonder if this will be the book that people die instead of getting their HEA.

There is a bright moment in the book at the end. It’s the comical relief that was much needed through this very intense book. You will love Lawry and Rory’s story. Hands down the best of the series but the most heartbreaking.

This is the fourth and last book in the Astor family World. I was waiting for this book because I was intrigued with Lawrence. I needed to know more about him. Lawrence and Rory have a very unique arrangement. They are secretly married and only spend a couple of days together every few months. Rory had secrets…. She kept secrets from Lawrence. As the story continues we start to understand the reasoning behind her lies and secrets from her husband. Can these to find a way to make it work. It was such an amazing read it was so intense and kept me up for hours until I read the last page.

Occasionally Yours is the final book in the Astor Family series and is Lawrence and Rory's book. This book has everything. Cults, danger, age gap and second chance romance. This book keeps you on your toes until the very last page. I feel this was a perfect way for this, series to end and I can't wait to see what's next.
