Who is the killer seated among the wedding guests?

As Asha and Kate drive up to the posh winter cabin of their best friend, Victoria's fiancé, Chandler's family, the hair begins to rise on the back of your neck.
Something is very, very wrong with Chandler's family. Dark secrets deeply buried come to light. Evil whispers echo in the night. Tension builds until your jaw is tight.
I stayed up all night reading and then because I was too afraid to sleep. Merciless Past is a masterpiece mystery and an incredibly addictive read. Highly recommended.
I loved this murder mystery. Asha and Katy are on their way to a friend's wedding when murder intervenes, This spine-tingling thriller was filled with nail- biting suspense and so many twists that I kept changing my mind about who the killer was. The truth was very unexpected. I would highly recommend it. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Asha is a picture of bad luck with her friend Katy. All they set off to do was attend a wedding in a snowstorm and in an area of blackout cell coverage, who'd have thought anything could go wrong ? Victoria's choice of husband left a lot to be desired and the family is off the scale for criminal and mental problems. It would have been easier to just turn up and shoot everybody then go home.
The book was really pretty good. Two friends going to the wedding of a close friend. Everything falls apart after the girls get to the ski resort. The whole family is totally weird. What I liked about the book is how the author ended each chapter with a suspenseful action. It made me keep reading to find out what was happening next.
Could only give 5 stars but would give more if available. This is the first book I read by this author and it sure won’t be the last. I read this in 2 1/2 evenings. Talk about a “cantputdown “ book, this is it. Love the story, the characters and the suspense. Also enjoy a book with a surprise ending. Can’t wait to read another of this series.
A pretty standard cast: good guys and bad guys. The gathering is for a wedding. It turns out that as you turn the pages, Asha, who it turns out is a private investigator, inherits the "chief muckie-muck" role in untangling this mess. This is an interesting story, thanks!
Asha and Katy are on their way to attend their friend, Victoria's wedding. When arriving they feel as if nothing seems right in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Writing is flawless. Keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end. Very highly recommended. I give it 6 stars. Way to go Tikiri.
Hard to put down thriller. Multiple twists and turns made for an heart pounding read. What a fun and exciting adventure in the snowy northeast mountains. Plan to read the rest of the merciless series to see if they match the intensity of this book!!
This book was so amazing that I read it in one setting. What a great series. I absolutely love the characters. Such brave & strong women. This book just kept getting better & better. What a thriller! The pieces not coming together until the very end.
Who killed her and why??? And now all the others!!! Asha and Katy keep to the trail though, didn’t they??? I enjoyed the story – grisly as it was – and recommend the book.
Asha and Katy travel to their best friend Victoria's wedding in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Victoria was swept off her feet by Chandler Rupert, whose parents have a ski resort plus old money which is depleting fast. They convince Chandler that the only way to get out of their newfound debt was to marry Victoria, whose deceased parents have left her a separate resort. Chandler and his parents intentions are to quietly and permanently dispose of Victoria shortly after the ceremony, then sell Victoria's resort which Chandler will inherit after her death.
Chandler's parents legally adopted 3 young girls, who lived in separate cabins in their ski resort, promising the adoption agency the girls would have a happy family life. Shortly thereafter he separately found a way, through a J.P. friend, for him to marry each girl in a bigamous ceremony, as he was still married to his first wife. He managed to outfit each girl with an ankle monitor, which he was able to monitor from his ski resort's office in a nearby town. Thus the 3 girls were held as prisoners for several years and sexually abused by both him and Chandler.
The weekend of the wedding, Asha and Katy try to convince Victoria she's making a big mistake as she doesn't see a side of Chandler that they have quickly noted. The murders then begin at this soon heavily snowed-in ski resort with landlines cut and no cell phone service.
Pulse-pounding suspense on every page. You'll finish this book within 24 hours.
When Asha and Katy arrive for the wedding of a close friend, they are figuring on a simple weekend, after all they were only going to a wedding. Before they arrive the questions start. Who moved the sign to their destination? Who screamed and why? Why is the groom kissing a bridesmaid? Why are they being told they were not welcome? Instead of finding answers they are confronted with more questions, especially when members of the wedding party start disappearing. Can Asha and Katy stay alive long enough to find out what's going on? Can they save their friends before it's too late? This a nail biting, roller coaster, adrenaline pumping, edge of your seat action. When you start this, you won't want to put this down. Even though I was given a copy of this book by the author, it in no way influenced my opinion and this is my honest review.
Asha and Katy are invited to their friend's wedding, a fun trip to New Hampshire. But murder and intrigue are on the menu with Asha and Katy in the cross hairs. Will they survive this weekend? The writing is flawless and seamless. The characters are intriguing and the dialogue and scenes - perfection. Tikiri adds to the Superb series of the fearless Red Heeled Rebels. An Outstanding Author. Very Highly Recommended.
Asha and Katy are on their way to a wedding for their good friend Victoria in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in a bad snowstorm . They are almost to the lodge when they hear a scream … and the questions begin … will Asha and Katy figure out what’s going on ? I love this series .. very intriguing, fast paced , dangerous, page turner till the end ! I received this book as an ARC reader and am leaving my honest review!
A winter vacation to celebrate a dear friend's wedding - happy, relaxing, blissful, not likely!
Who says you can't choose your family, apparently the Ruperts can. Unlike Asha's chosen family of loyalty, strength of character and sticking up for the underdog; the Rupert clan are hiding their warped practices!
A thrilling hunt through the woods leaves a couple of dead bodies and me holding my breath!
A great read, I highly recommend this series!
I received an ARC and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Asha and Katy are at a mutual friend’s wedding at a rustic lodge covered with snow, doesn’t that sound sublime? Think again. This is no Hallmark movie! Spine tingling and hard to put down.
Clumsy and convoluted this book was a disappointment. A poor little rich girl invites her feisty friends to her wedding to the scion of a wealthy family. Little do they realize they are walking into a homicidal nightmare. The dialogue is clunky and the whole situation unbelievable. Did not like.
Another exciting page turning thriller in this series. Asha and Katy are going to a wedding of a close friend, Victoria. The location for the wedding is in a remote location where cell phones do not have service. A bridesmaid is found dead. A sinister plan to get the bride's estate, mistreated and abused young women are just a part of the story. Asha has to find a killer.
I'm not with the crowd of 4- and 5-star reviews, again, and I wonder about myself in relation to books and the way they're written. If I had read this as a YA novel, I might have a better opinion. It is my first book by Tikiri Herath, and I'm afraid it will be my last. As I was reading "Merciless Past," I thought more than once "this is like 'Nancy Drew' on steroids." And but for the ludicrous amount of gore, that's all it is, in my opinion. The author seems to be presenting badass, strong female characters - all to the good - but they don't quite make it. The language is stilted, if not silly, and there is really no tension. Every situation ends in a nice, one-two-three resolution. What passes for conflict are scenes, one after another, that have no complexity at all. When I was a child, I read all of the Nancy Drew Mystery books; it was thrilling for a 7- or 8-year-old. Sadly, this bunch of books reminds me all too much of that genre.
Torture to read... A horribly written narrative, with ridiculous characters. Heroine is Wonder Woman only brain dead... Can't shoot, can't think, obviously. The entire story is so unbelievable. There are so many obvious blunders one wonders if this author ever considered employing an editor... my god this was painful to endure... Horrible..!!
