PLEASE This series is a saga, so please be patient and trust me. This is also a re-release of the Love, Sex, Lies series, published nearly ten years ago. So, these characters are close to my heart. They deserved a makeover. For some, love doesn't happen overnight. For many, their journey to love comes after loss, trauma, betrayal, and a lot of lessons learned. THIS is Lyric, Vic, and Tricey's journey to everlasting love.
Back with an old fling, Tricey has found herself a kept and comfortable woman. Yet, no amount of labels, diamonds, or luxurious cars can blind her to the fact that she is very much unhappy. Her constant search for real unconditional love pushes her back into the arms of old heartbreak and leads her down a dangerous course of trickery and dishonesty. While struggling with the choice of being comfortable or genuinely happy, trouble is right under her nose and waiting for her to slip.
Escorting, hustles and scams were choices that Star made all on her own, but she would have never guessed that such decisions were going to land her in prison, serving time for two murder convictions and drug trafficking. Yet, she is still susceptible to the stresses of a free woman. Her past as an escort and hustler has taught her how to survive in prison using her feminine wiles. However, as always, those feminine wiles get her caught up in the most peculiar dilemma. In the end, the biggest question will be, will Star find an answer to this dilemma fast enough to save her life?
Vic has old problems, but new solutions. She is determined to keep her past from affecting her present, by any means necessary. With a revelation that would shake any woman to her core, will Vic let this discovery from her past heal or dismantle her future?
Once again, these ladies are back with lives that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A South Side Love Story 3 is a world wind of disloyalty, treachery, and drama. Friendships will be tested and deception will be revealed.
Author of Urban Chick Lit, Erotica, and Contemporary Urban Fiction... Jessica N. Watkins was born April 1st in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I had written about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. At the age of twenty-eight, Watkins’ chronicles have matured into steamy, humorous, and realistic tales of women's literature. She hopes that The Epitome of Femistry series will successfully emulate ideal femininity while tackling stereotypes, familiar heartache, and relatable distress in a humorous, sophisticated, and erotic fashion.

This story got better and better since book 1. The character Vic had me going through it she low key pissed me off because why she had to play like that, then the bomb Jesse dropped on her was not expected at all so this should be interesting with her and Lyric being the way they are with each other. Star character really brought the story more drama and anticipation I’m excited for book 4 because I gotta feeling crazy a** Malik ain’t done. Tricey should’ve known better than to bring Akbar back in her life that it was gonna be trouble. I’m torn between her staying with Blood because he lying about who in Houston or should her BD get back together and make a family. I got a feeling Jessica is not gonna disappoint. Only dislikes I had was the name mix ups but all in all the story got better, plus Jessica just be that girl when it comes to my favorite Kindle authors with that being said check out more of her books. (When the Side n*gga catch feelings is still my top favorite written by her)
It was okay, but towards the end it picked up a lot. the characters… Victoria got on my nerves. Lyric did too.. Im glad things are turning around for star. Tricey was okay until she told Blood what Victoria said in front of Devin. That should’ve been a convo between her & blood, and Vic’s name should’ve been left out of it.
I’m invested so I’m reading book 4. Some names were mixed up, but if you’re really reading then you know who she meant.
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars because it deserves more than that. This saga is awesome, the characters are so real the drama keeps you on the edge of your seat all the time. Now I'm gone to the last part. Can't hardly wait to see what the finale will be. I no it's gonna be HOT no doubt. Lata
This book this book is amazing, I’ve read book one and two and I tell you the love connection that Latrice and blood has is amazing. It’s sad how StR got caught up but this book represents the streets, family, corruption and love. I recommend this book to all I promise you want stop until the end.
I'm so happy my girl Star is out!! And Vic need to get her ish together she bugging! Blood so dang smart and Tricey need to get her ish together 2. That sister reveal about to b litty thou
I'm so on edge with this series. I'm very happy that Star got out and I hope she makes some changes for sons sake. I love Blood. Victoria needs a lot of help. I can't believe the things she was doing. Anyway I'm ready for part 4.
My mouth is hanging open reading this book. These young women I'm just speechless. You never know what kind of turn things are going to take. Therefore I can't stop turning the page and I keep hoping for the best for them.
This should have been called A South Side Karma Story. I've yet to see the love. But I gave this 5 stars because Jessica can really write and is very talented although the content is a little much.
It’s taking me a bit longer than normal to finish this series but it’s worth the time bcz baaabe All of the draaawwma is for tha ppl… hurry catch up download and read. Happy reading
Get Vic out of here. She is so disconnected to be in the counseling field. It’s unrealistic. I’m over her character. I hope Lyric figures out what she really wants. Tricey is playing with fire. Hopefully Star will focus on her future.
Loved every word and moment of it. I love Blood & Tricey relationship and I pray that Vic & Asa can find their way back to each other and be better then ever.
Omg!! The suspense is real. I never would thought that the things they happened in part three was going to happen. Very good writing. So ready for part four!!
