A billionaire bourbon king needs a bodyguard, but the last thing he wants is me—a woman. My attitude isn’t helping things much either. I’m not putting up with an ounce of this man’s overinflated ego. He was in the right place at the wrong time, having caught a few thieves in the act. Now they’re in jail. And he should be looking over his shoulder. That’s where I come in. This hot pain in my butt thinks he’s God’s gift to the world, but Mr. Big Bad is in for a world of hurt. I’m not interested in gifts. I’m here to do a job, and that’s to keep his assets free from harm. Lucky for me, this isn’t my first rodeo with a sexy rich boy who doesn’t believe in female bodyguards. The bill is paid and I’m stuck to his side. Huff and puff all you like, handsome. This girl is guarding the one thing your family needs to carry on its line. Your smoking hot body.

This story is about a billionaire slowly but surely falls in love with his beautiful bodyguard that is sooo badass, strong, kind and very beautiful woman!!!!
THIS STORY is not boring at all so I was having fun reading it. It was funny, emotionally, short but romantic safe love story. YES SAFE.
Their chemistry is romantic 🥺🥺
I’m glad the hero made the first move cause thats a good one! Romantic and hot one 😏😏😏😂😂
‼️‼️‼️NO VIRGINS
‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: violence, gun shooting, robbery and stalking (not a bad stalking, just phone call).
‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION for few weeks but both are loyal and never ever go to anyone else. The hero even thinks about the heroine a lot in that time and they were separated because of a good reason. Nothing bad like that.
‼️‼️‼️LOVE IN FIRST SIGHT.
Also like a electricity touch when they first touch hands.
“WHILE I’D THOUGHT SHE WAS HOT WHEN I SAW HER PICTURE, THE PHOTOGRAPH HADN’T REALLY DONE HER JUSTICE.”
“It was tragic that she was the first woman i’d been this viscerally attracted to in ages.”
“There was a fire in her that, combined with her looks, had just made her that much more attractive to me.”
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE. NOT OVER THE TOP.
‼️‼️‼️BOTH ARE SINGLE AND DIDN’T HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS WHEN THEY FIRST MEET.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS 35 years old.
I forgot how old the heroine. Sorry!
‼️‼️‼️THE HEROINE IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. SHE IS STRONG AND KNOWS HOW TO DEFEND HERSELF EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY.
The hero was trying to get away from the heroine because he hates having a bodyguard but the heroine immediately catch him, pointed a finger at his chest and say this:
“I’m not here to be your friend, but I’m not going to take your sh*t either.”
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OBSESSED WITH THE HEROINE but not too much though. The hero and heroine have a secret relationship but both never say it was a real relationship at first. But I’m glad even though they didn’t say what relationship they have or it’s officially or not, both are loyal to each other and never go or touch anyone else🥺🥺🥺 even when many woman tries to flirt with the hero, he immediately like one second goes away and go searching for the heroine. Wow.
‼️‼️‼️LITTLE JEALOUS SCENES FROM THE HERO AND NONE FROM THE HEROINE.
‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES.
Both didn’t say how long they been celibate or what but I’m glad that both wear protection.
‼️‼️‼️NO TALKING ABOUT PAST PARTNERS.
‼️‼️‼️NO DRAMA WITH OW AND OM.
The drama is about themself and other people which is their enemy. AND NO UNNECESSARY DRAMA.
‼️‼️‼️They did have romantic time together as a couple. Not much but it was there alright. And it was cute and romantic, at least for me lol.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO DID PUSH THE HEROINE AWAY BUT NOT TOO MUCH AND NOT TOO ANNOYING. THE HEROINE NEVER PUSH THE HERO AWAY….
‼️‼️‼️HAPPY ENDING.
ENGAGED 🥺🥺🥺💙💙💙💙
👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽Thank you so much for reading my review❤️❤️ For you who loves my review and follow it, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I did not get paid or be told to do a review on a book. I’m here just to write review about a book so i can remember it. Its my honest opinion😚 I didn’t know at first people will find me and follow me and trust me to be honest, I was surprised myself to look at the notifications from people who reach out to me😆 So everything i write down here on a review is based on my personal opinion and based on my true writing. I DID NOT COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW OR WRITING SKILL because at first when i was using this app for one year i didn’t know how to scroll down on a book and see the reviews from others😂😅🤣 I know, silly me but hey I finally learned my lesson 😛😛😛 Thats why when people assume i copy someone’s review i was like what? Because at first i didn’t know how to use this app properly and i didn’t know how to open someone’s review because for a year i never follow someone or add friends or someone😂😂😂🤣 (I’m laughing so hard) 🤪 AND I NEVER COPY SOMEONE’S REVIEW EVER. IF I WRITE SOMETHING WRONG OR DOESN’T MAKE SENSE PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND BE NICE OKAY. 👈🏽👈🏽👈🏽✋🏽✋🏽
I have a disclaimer down bellow if you have negative thoughts about my review😙😙😙
🌐🌐🌐➡️↘️⬇️➡️This is my own personal thoughts and opinion about the book so if thats not sit right with you or you feel I’m not being fair blablabla, please know that everybody in this world have their own different things that they like and don’t like. It may not be the same thing with you but thats okay because i am my own person and you cannot control me or tell me what to do. For example; i put ketchup (tomato sauce) on my fried chicken. You think that’s disgusting? For me its not and i’ve been eating it like that for many many years. You tell me to put another sauce and see if i like that better? I already did many many times in years but i still like the way i like it. It’s called differences between me and you and billions people in this world😊 be open minded😙 I respect people’s opinions about my opinions but in the end of the day if i say I don’t like it or i do like it, its up to me and its on me. And in the end of the day i always liked and show my respect to books and people’s opinions on books whenever that book is good or not good in my opinion 😊 Respect people’s opinions guys😙😙 I don’t want to write this down because its not really my thing to do it. To like address something like this when obviously i know the people who’s been reading my reviews many times and all the time, they are smart enough to understand and respect other people’s opinions no matter what their opinions on book or their point of view 😙😙 am i right? 💕 also there are people even though i already write “this book is different because i have my own taste of book” those people still comment my taste is this and that when HELLO… everybody have their own thoughts on books and what they want to read… why i read it then? I read it and give it a review because i have to read a book to give it a review… why not read the description book to understand before I’m going to read it? Hello just in case you haven’t notice, description books can be tricky because they write this amazing things about a book but turns out the story is so toxic. Maybe for me its toxic but not for you? YES HELLO THATS WHY US HUMAN BEING HAVE OUR DIFFERENCES, WHAT I LIKE IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU WILL LIKE IT AND EITHER WAY TOO. why i still write the review then if i just don’t like a book? Because I CAN and i want to, you cannot tell me what to do and not what to do🤪 if you still wants to be negative and be karens about my review on book after all of what i just write, i will never acknowledge you and simply ignore you because its not that hard🙏 I won’t respond to negativity comments🙏🏼🙏🏼 DON’T ASK ME AGAIN ABOUT WHY NOT RESPONDING TO YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS BECAUSE I ALREADY SAY IT HERE AND I WON’T BE EXPLAINING AGAIN BECAUSE WE’RE NOT CHILDREN SO ITS NOT HARD FOR YOU AN ADULT TO UNDERSTAND😌😌 YES MY REVIEW IS LONG BUT YOU READ IT ANYWAY AND ITS FINE ACTUALLY I CAN WRITE AS LONG AS I LIKE😎 YES MY GRAMMAR IS BAD SOMETIMES AND MAYBE ALL THE TIME BUT LUCKILY MANY PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I’M SAYING🤪 ⬅️↖️↕️⬅️↩️⤴️
“Big Bad Bodyguard” is an entertaining book by Ali Parker that shakes up expectations a bit. You look at the muscular man on the cover and read the title and you know that the image represents the Bodyguard … but you’d be wrong to think that. The author flips expectations just like her heroine flips big, burly men far bigger than she, and both really made me smile.
Craig is as strong and smooth as the finest bourbon produced by the distilleries his family owns. When he interrupts a crime being committed against the business, he ends up targeted by the gang involved. His father and Jason, the only other person he or his father listen to, both agree that Craig needs a bodyguard, at least temporarily. Craig strongly disagrees with them and unsuccessfully fights the idea. When presented with bodyguards from which to choose, Craig decides to make a mockery of the whole thing; he selects the one woman among all the muscular men. Kali is used to being underestimated, and throughout her career has routinely used it to her advantage. Men are always shocked to find out how well-trained and highly capable she is. She has no doubt she can handle anything that happens and keep the client safe – even from himself.
This was a well-written book. The author does a great job balancing elements of suspense and danger along with sexual tension, family drama, humorous moments, business dealings, smart dialogue, clever conversations and steamy scenes. Both Craig and Kali are pulled outside their comfort zones by unfamiliar emotions, and they each must figure out how to deal with it all. There are several notable secondary characters, including Craig’s brother Lane and best friend, Jason, and Kali’s boss, Thomas, and best friend Mina. I thought the ending was excellent, and a perfect conclusion to this story.
Wonderful read, as usual! Ali Parker is one of my favorite authors and this book was another good one. Craig is the COO and heir apparent of a bourbon distillery. He surprises a couple thugs trying to steal some barrels of bourbon and subdues them. After they make bail, threats are made against Craig and a bodyguard is hired to protect him. It turns out to be Kali, a female ex-military, martial arts expert. Craig doesn't feel he needs a bodyguard at all and makes her life miserable. Not for long, however. Great characters in a wonderful enemies to lovers romance with good sex and excitement. The story is different in that the woman is protecting the man. Sensational!
This is not your average alpha male story. The arrogant alpha male is in need of a bodyguard. Here comes a feminine ex military bodyguard. He thinks she could not protect him. She calls his bluff and does not take any of his inflated ego crap. Ali always makes the characters real and relatable. There is plenty of steam with a dash of humor. You will not be disappointed with the book!
Craig Weller COO of a Kentucky distillery stopped two intruders from stealing two barrels of his bourbon. When the police arrived he had stopped both of them and they threatened they would get even. They called his Father and threatened Craig and the business. So his Father hired Arrow Security to send a bodyguard to protect him. He fought with his Father, telling him he didn't need anyone to protect him. When they sent the files for him to pick one, he figured he would out smart them by hiring a woman bodyguard. Little did he knew she was ex military and could kick his butt. He tried to lose her but she wasn't going to let that happen. She took the job seriously and his protection. Two months in they starting having an attraction but they worked at keeping it a secret. When the guys that threatened Craig, decided to go after Kali, because they thought she was Craig's girlfriend. He wouldn't tell her about the treat and decided to get her fired as her bodyguard. He went to her boss and told him he no longer her wanted her to protect him or be on his premises. He made Michael think he was adamant about not wanting her around him. But Jason, head of Security at the Distillery knew of the new threat towards Craig and went to Kali to watch behind the scenes to protect Craig. But when the thugs came to attack and shoot Craig, Kali jumped out and knocked Craig down and she took a bullet in the shoulder. He was so worried that he wasn't going to be able to tell her how much he loved her and to forgive him. But he wanted to take care of her. Great story of two opposite but strong characters who eventually started to respect each other and fall for each other. Ali Parker hit it out of the park again.
This a is one fun read that is quite unexpected in it's content! I fully expected the bodyguard to be male. But, oh no, the bodyguard is one very feminine female called Kali. She is ex military and very skilled in martial arts. After leaving the military she began work for a security firm and this is how she meets Craig. He's a billionaire but acts out as if he is an arrogant alpha male who thinks that Kali can't possibly protect him. He needs the protection after having threats from some criminals that he stopped stealing from the family distillery. But Kali is more than capable of looking after herself as well as him with no problem. Craig tries his very best to shake her off but he underestimated her determination to protect him from himself as well as others. Once they actually begin to get to know each other personally they realise that they actually have much more in common than at first glance. His brother, Lane, adds to the comedy in the book and it would be interesting to know his 'story' in my opinion. This is a fast paced storyline with engaging characters that I really liked and rooted for. It was so obvious that Craig and Kali were very attracted to each other and it was endearing to see the 'protectee' become the protector to Kali and that's where Craig makes a big mistake. Will she forgive him? He can only hope and pray that his plan works as he can't bear the thought of her being hurt! Read in one sitting it was just so good - another example of Ali Parker at her very best! I re3ceived a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended.
Ali does it again by keeping you hooked and on your toes!! Craig is COO of his family's generational bourbon distillery, A Chip Off the Old Block. His life is about to be forever changed with a phone call from his dad to check on a broken lock at the distillery. Taking down part of a gang of career criminals trying to steal barrels of bourbon puts Craig on the hot seat. Not taking the threats against his life is not an option for his family and friends. Now to make a mockery of the situation of "needing" a bodyguard, Craig narrows the choice down to either Colonel Mustard or the woman. Enter tall, tough and beautiful Kali, bodyguard for hire...and she takes her job seriously without extra BS. Kali is just back to work after being shot at and is eager to prove she is ready. Sparks fly from the chemistry but she can not act on the attraction... until they open up to each other about their lives past and present. One taste is not enough for either of them and keeping it low key is close to impossible. When the threats escalate to include Kali, Craig does the hardest thing ever to protect Kali. What happens when Kali goes against a direct command to make sure Craig is safe and the one fear he has becomes real?? Will Craig have the chance to let Kali know his true feelings...or is it too late?? A MUST READ!!! Characters true to life, his/her POV, no cliffhanger and secondary characters that will hopefully get their own HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC if this book and happily purchased a copy for my favorites collection. Looking forward for the next Ali Parker smash hit!!!
Not many people need a bodyguard and when you do, who would you pick?
Craig stops a robbery of whiskey from his family's factory. Little did he know it would bite him in the ass. All of a sudden he is told that his life has been threatened and he needs protection.
Kali, ex military, now a kick ass, take no names, bodyguard. But she does not look like the typical bodyguard but it is wrong to underestimate her. She thought this was going to be just another assignment. She never gets too involved with her clients. That is a major No No. Kali thinks this is just another assignment. It is a good one, going to last at least 6 months. But will she come out at the end of this assignment the same woman she was going in?
Craig picks her from pictures that were given him because he thought she would blend in better. Would not raise so many questions. But did just seal his fate? Did he make a choice that even he did not realize what it could mean?
Does Kali understand what she is walking into?
Ohhh so many questions and you can only get the answers by reading this great book.
I loved the way this book tipped the stereotypes on their head. And that fabulous cover is oh so delightfully misleading if you don’t read the blurb carefully. I adored that Kali is quite simply a wonder woman. She’s fully capable of kicking butt and protecting her client, and she’s not about to dim her light to make anybody’s ego feel better. It took me a bit to warm up to Craig. In the beginning, his behavior looks a lot like an uncooperative brat. But then we get to see the relationship between him and Kali developing, and his attitude starts to change. I had so much fun with this book. I’m very sorry to let these characters go now. My fingers are crossed that we may get to see them again in a future book. One about the brother or the best friend, maybe. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
What an amazing book! It will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time from page one! It is a great twist to the normal. Bodyguard book. You don’t see many, if any at all, where the female is the bodyguard.
Kali and Craig’s chemistry is off the charts hot. When Craig is forced to have a bodyguard, he thinks he will make a big joke out of it by hiring a female bodyguard. He plays tricks on her, he doesn’t take her seriously, their sense of humor to each other is just great! I love them as a couple! I also loved his brother Lane. I bet he would have a great story to tell as well!
I would, and definitely will be, recommending this book to all my friends! You won’t regret the read! You get a HEA, you get some comedy, some steam and some suspense all rolled into one! I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving a free copy.
Another fun read from Ali Parker - from the title and cover, I think most expect the Big Bad Bodyguard to be a hulk of a man brought in to guard a female who's in trouble. I LOVE that this story does the complete opposite! Craig is an executive in his family's distillery business and after stopping a robbery at their business, he begins getting threats. HIs family feels he needs protection and he begrudgingly agrees. He picks Kali for the job, not because he thinks she's the most qualified - but because he thinks she'll blend into the woodwork, be easy to "lose" and does not take her seriously.
Boy is he wrong and he learns pretty quickly that she is a no-nonsense, BA female and won't be intimidated by him.
And then the fun begins....I loved the battle of wills as they both admit to and then fight their instant attraction to each other.
Craig has worked for his family’s bourbon company since he graduated from college, he is now COO. There is a break in at the distillery and he catches the thieves in the act, holds them off until the police come. When they are out of jail they threaten him, his father takes it serious and tell him he has to have a bodyguard. They give a choice of the agent’s profiles they send over, he picks the one woman.
Kali is used to men underestimating her, Craig is a pain from the start, thinking he can intimidate her. She is no nonsense and does not put up with his temper tantrums. I loved this book, the idea of a big guy, capable of holding his own being protecting by a much shorter woman. Not to say that she is out of depth. Eventually professional lines get blurred, the chemistry between the two is hot.
Wonderful love story. Who is the protectee and who is the protector? Craig deters two men trying to steal bourbon barrels at his distillery and they threaten him. He doesn’t think a thing of it but his dad is convinced he’s a target so he hires a bodyguard for Craig. Craig picks Kali, the female bodyguard, just to rub it in his father’s face. Craig doesn’t think the threat is real or that he needs a bodyguard. Needless to say, having someone around you all day is unnerving. You can’t concentrate. You can’t work. You can’t date. He tries to evade her, but she’s good at her job. Bodyguards are not supposed to get involved with their clients. And she never has, until now. Once their relationship takes off, Craig realizes that he is the one that wants to protect her now. Really great book. Oh how mighty the man falls. You will love it.
Craig is the COO of the Old Block Bourbon Company. It is his responsibility to oversee the day-to-day business of the company. As directed by his father, Craig had to go pass the distillery to help security about a break-in. When Criag arrives there, he spots several men stealing barrels of whiskey. Craig takes matters into his own hands and has both men arrested. Things excel for Craig when he gets death threats from the men who were arrested. Craig’s father decides to have a bodyguard for Craig. Craig has to decide from his selection and chooses Kali. Craig meets Kaki and feels she is a pushover. Little did he know that Kali was one of the best security agents. I enjoyed the flow of this story, how Kali maintained her position in spite of finding love. This is a delightful book to read. I reviewed this ARC book.
I received a free copy of the Kentucky-based steamy novel Big Bad Bodyguard: The Big Bad Billionaire Series: Book 3: Craig and Kali by Ali Parker and this review was given freely.
Multi-dimensional characters, an act of rebellion, an instant attraction, brief steamy moments, MMA, and the alpha billionaire Craig whose life is changed by the equally physically and mentally strong bodyguard Kali Barnett make this an interesting and hard to put down romance.
The COO of Kentucky’s A Chip Off the Old Block bourbon distiller, Craig Willer’s busy life of six + day work weeks, fulfilling his father’s demands, and when able, spending time with his playboy brother Lane is further complicated when his life is threatened by the gang whose robbery Craig thwarted.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!
Another fabulous Ali Parker book. The handsome Craig as smooth as the Kentucky bourbon his family has been making for generations meets the kick ass female bodyguard, Kali.
Craig goes to his family’s distillery to investigate a security issue on request from his father. Craig ends up apprehending 2 thieves in the process of stealing some of their bourbon stock
The thieves turn out to be more dangerous than Craig realized and it’s decided that he needs protection as the future CEO of the company.
What a great ride as Craig and Kali navigate their way through the 6 month protection contract.
A slower start didn’t stop this story from bulldozing its way across my heart.
I was worried when 2 days into reading when I wasn’t past the 8th chapter. I take blame for a good part of it (reading slumps are a bitch). But all of a sudden I looked at my progress and was 80% done!
Ali has this amazing way of pulling you into her stories. Such a rollercoaster ride.
Craig was such a dynamic character and being able to read his thoughts before diving into his relationship with Kali makes everything make so much more sense.
Kali is one bad ass bitch. Ali, she actually exists and can be my BFF right?!?!?!
The two of them are the power couple to end all power couples!
I could read all of the future books with these two!
This is such a brilliant read. Craig is in need of a bodyguard after interrupting two thieves trying to steal from the family bourbon distillery. He knows that he can look after himself so hires a female bodyguard as a joke to his father who insisted on hiring security for him. Kali doesn't like Craig when she first meets him and he only makes it harder to do her job to start with. When they start to get closer she knows that she needs to put a stop to it but the chemistry between them is electric. As the threat increases will she be able to keep him safe when he is keeping secrets from her. A must read full of drama, suspense and plenty of emotion but also so much love. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Kali, a female bodyguard, is hired to protect Craig, COO of the family owned distillery, after he is threatened by the robbers he identified breaking into one of their warehouses. As the story progresses a struggle for control ensues, a compromise may be in the horizon, and breaking through the tough exterior may be harder than either of them thought. Ali Parker has played with my emotions in Big Bad Bodyguard. Kali had the right amount of strength and softness to counter Craig’s hard attitude.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
This book took me by surprise. I always expect this author’s books to be good but this one was also surprising. I love bodyguard reads and,of course, set out to read good characters in their normal roles only it was the opposite. The story is about Kali and Craig. Craig is forced to hire a bodyguard, he’s not happy about it so he figured he have a little fun and hire a woman for the role He panned to make a big joke out of it. He doesn’t take her seriously, nor does he anticipate their chemistry and desire for each, other. There is lots of humorous moments in this book that kept me smiling. Terrific.
BIG BAD BODYGUARD by Ali Parker This is a fun, light hearted, well written read that throws the stereotypical male/female roles out the window. Ali also brings chemistry, witty banter, and good secondary characters into the mix which equals a very enjoyable read. Kali is a strong, intelligent, independent and very capable bodyguard and Craig is the COO of A Chip off the Old Block Bourbon Company. He is a strong, young man who is convinced he is capable of protecting himself after he thwarts some guys who break in the distillery and try to rob it. When his dad hires him an unwanted bodyguard, he doesn’t take it sitting down lightly. This is 5 stars.
Wow Ali definitely knows how to change things up!! When Craig is sent to his families factory, stopping a robbery, he gets more than what he bargained for, and now needs a Bodyguard. He picks the woman in the pictures he is given for choices, but here again he gets more than he bargains for.
Kali is ex military, and now a Bodyguard, who is definitely underestimated. But she also gets more than what she expected.
This book has it all, comedy, steam, a rollercoaster ride for sure!! I highly recommend this book, and this author, she never dissapoints!!
I received a free ARC copy from the author and freely give my honest review.
Terrific! You can always count on Ms. Parker to produce an entertaining read that you won’t want to put down until the last word. I loved the twist of the hero of the book being a heroine, who is absolutely delightful. She has a sense of humor and strength of character that distinguish her from the usual. Craig shows his sense of humor when he picks her out of all the male bodyguards that are presented because of the threats on his life. She is used to being underestimated, however, he quickly learns to appreciate her skills. Great characters, story, and writing make this a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Ali Parker writes like she's having a casual conversation with friends - that's why her books resonate with me and so many others.
Kali, of badassery fighting fame and Craig, of 'A Chip off the Old Block Bourbon Company' notoriety come together as Kali guards Craig! The back-and-forth, the chemistry, the trickery, the passion...this book has it all...Plus you'll giggle, laugh-out-loud, and just melt!
You won't be sorry reading this book - and be prepared for the jokes, the steam, the suspense, and Lane!
Craig is COO of his father’s bourbon company. Kali works for a prestigious security agency. We’re so used to reading about men bodyguards, it was refreshing to read about a woman bodyguard. I loved these two characters. Each competitive and each protective of one another. A battle of the wills you would say. It’s funny at times that I found myself laughing out loud. It’s also very serious in the context of the storyline. Their attraction is a slow burn which turns into steamy. This book pulls you in for a non-put down book. I highly recommend it.
Ali's written a twist on a popular theme. "Small female guarding Large Macho Alpha Male". Craig is the COO of his families " Chip Off the Old Block" Bourbon Company. One night he stops a couple of thugs from robbing their distillery, afterwhich he starts receiving threats. Consequently, his father hires a Security Firm to have their best Bodyguard attached to Craig. When Kali shows up in Craigs office he thinks she's anything but what she is. I loved reading this book. I couldnt figure out what was going to happen next. Easy read, standalone HEA.
I really love how strong and honest Kali is in this story. It’s a unique story in that she is the bodyguard and can hold her own and kick most of her male counterpart’s butts. She is tasked with protecting Craig, who is also a strong leading man and can take care of himself. Together they find an HEA. There is drama and some suspense, along with angst and chemistry. I wish there had been more suspense because this would have been an even better story. I was sent a complimentary copy and I am choosing to leave my honest review.
Craig's family said he needed a bodyguard since he thwarted a robbery at his distillery. He thought if he picked a weak female, he could get away from her. In walks Kali looking all feminine in just the right places. Little did Craig know that she would lay him flat in more ways than one.
They started as enemies, and with a slow burn, they became so much more. What an incredible story.
After a break-in at his family’s distillery, Chip Off The Old Block, Craig Willer took on and captured the two would be thieves singlehanded! But then the threats began. His Dad took it upon himself to hire him a bodyguard. That bodyguard happened to be Kali Barnett, former military, accomplished martial arts expert, and one of the most beautiful worm he’d ever seen. He is immediately drawn to her but she’s all business! Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ book by Ali Parker
