It's a dangerous world for an omega without a pack, and the North Pole is the only place where we're protected.
Our days are filled with all things Christmas and helping prepare for the biggest night of the year.
When a pack of four wayward hikers stumble into the North Village, I'm sent by the Big Man himself to deter them from finding our sanctuary.
As soon as I step foot in the pub to kick them to the curb, it's clear they're anything but wayward.
One thing's for sure: they're definitely on the knotty list.
The Knotty List is a standalone Omegaverse short 13k word novella with mature content intended for adult readers. Does not include shifters and has a HEA.
I’ll be totally honest…I didn’t know this was an erotica book. It didn’t strike me until I was about a third in, and I just kept going. Why did that statement sound so sexual? Anyway, I’m going 3.5 stars here. Yeah, there’s some high quality, classy intercourse here. And yes, the story is very simplistic. However, there was some great lore here, and I wanted to know a ton more about the alphas and omegas dynamics. What were some more specifics about Holly’s previous attempts to find a pack? There was a lot referenced, but sort of glossed over, which was a shame. The plot was really unique and could have gone so much further. The writing quality was also a standout point of this book, too. Erotica authors, from the little knowledge I have about them, tend to not be the best writers. It’s just a matter of finding how many times they can cram the words wet, nipple, and cock into a very limited number of pages. That was far from the case here. And I loved how the story came full circle at the end, too. That Kris Kringle is one smooth dude. And he gave Holly a very, and I mean very, merry Christmas. Well done, Maya Nicole!
The Knotty List was a case of total cover love with a premise that made me notice this novella. Although far too short, this was original and wonderfully smutty. Be prepared for:
❄️ A Reverse Harem set in the North Pole ❄️ An Elf in Heat ❄️ Santa playing matchmaker
Holly is one of Mr Kringle's loyal elves. Presently an Omega without an Alpha, she feels destined to remain single while facing another mating heat alone.
Except this time will be different because she has Santa in her corner, and he has sent her on a wild goose chase right into the path of destiny.
"Don't tell me you don't feel it too." He took a step back but brought his hand to my cheek. "You're everything we've been waiting for."
Kayden, Trace, Max and Lucas have waited a long time to meet their mate which they never predicted would be at the North Pole. Fortunately they're up to servicing all of Holly's needs and convincing her to be kept. An additional couple of chapters seemed necessary as the story ended abruptly.
A perfect, fast paced, Christmas omegaverse to kick off the month of December. Everything happened lightning speed here. I’m not an overly big Christmas person but this year I’m going to try and get in the spirit I guess and this was a great starter.
The book was super cute and sweet but like with all novellas I wanted so much more. It was just a peek at holly and her men, a tease, but it was very cute.
This was an okay book.. had some steamy moments but I was alittle sad there wasn't really a group scene.. did have one MFM moment so yeahh!!!
Holly had a mission from Santa make sure this group of guys don't get any closer.. and she doesn't know they are Alphas..a smell has all parties wanting more.. but Holly does try to push away buy that doesnt stop Max/Kayden/Lucas and Trace.. nope snowed in their cabin they work on becoming a pack.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, sexy times, no virgins

Plot: Holly is one of the head "elves" at the North Pole, and Kris Kringle himself sends her out on a mission to help some tourist hikers. But when she gets to the pub, she realizes they aren't just hikers but alphas. And she's an omega who might be going into heat soon. When she gets hurt, they take her back to their cabin, but is she willing to give them a shot at being her pack?
Commentary: Quick omegaverse story, Christmas themed, although I would have liked more info on Holly's background - what happened with her old pack, how'd she end up at the North Pole. However, this was a novella and didn't have enough space for all that (although I think it could easily be made into a cute series with other omegas from Santa's Workshop or the surrounding area).
“I finally knew what home felt like and it was the greatest gift I could have received.”
i liked the idea but i just don't like the writing style. its way too short for me to be this confused. also way too many characters. i felt like i was missing info... do i need to read something before this?
Really enjoyed this hot little Christmas treat. I would have liked to know more about each of the characters though and had a few more saucy scenes. Worth a read to get in the festive mood though!
Short and sweet. Original idea, making Santa's workshop an omega sanctuary for older unmatched omegas. Low angst. Willing to read more from this author
Holly is an omega (& an elf i think lol) she’s 30 & never had a pack so when her boss Mr. Kringle sends her in a mission to chase away 4 strangers that as camping too close to the North Pole she never expected them to 4 alphas or to quickly bond w them.
I really wanted to more of them but over all still a really sweet quick omegaverse fix.
Here's the thing. It had potential. A backstory that I've never read about - an omega that works for Santa? Definitely a first for me lol. - so, the book seemed intriguing.
Unfortunately, it was so short that the book was way too rushed. I think I finished the novella in about 20 minutes.
The fact that the author tried to write a reverse haram in 13k words is ambitious as hell, but, because of the shortness, there's no way to do that without causing major drawbacks. Namely the pace.
We have Holly, who is introduced as a 30-year-old omega that is about to go into heat, who works at the North Pole and she lives with other omegas without a pack. Her boss/Santa? sends her to a bar to "get rid of" four men there, with very cryptic info about them. She thinks these men are going to be human, but quickly realizes they are alphas once she arrives.
Because of how short it is, me explaining the pacing is basically spoiling the whole book, so don't continue if you don't want to know what happens.
In quick succession, one of the alphas makes a pass on her and she, not wanting to do anything stupid, decides to ignore her boss having asked her to get rid of them and leaves the bar. Well, she tries to. Her ride - Dasher, the reindeer, of course - runs off without her. Due to the fact she is too far from home to walk in the middle of a snowstorm, she goes back into the bar to use the phone to try and get someone to come get her. The owner/bartender says they are closing because of the storm, but he allows her to use the phone and tells her to lock up behind herself. The phone doesn't work, and when she goes to leave, the freaking roof caves in. That was a wtf moment for me lol. Was the roof made outta hay? Anyways.. She gets knocked out and the guys - who had been outside about to get on their snowmobiles - rush in to save her. She's fine, but they basically kidnap her and bring her back to their cabin since she's unconscious.
From there, it's just them hooking up. Like, she wakes up and calls her boss and realizes he set this all up in a way, then she goes into heat and starts hooking up with them. There's absolutely no build up, you learn next to nothing about any of the characters which makes them come off as blendable and I've already forgot who's who, but they are instantly wanting to claim her as their omega and it's basically insta-love. The next day she discovers a note from her boss saying that all her stuff is now at her new house...because she is moving in with the guys. Yea, it's all that quick.
Honest to god, that's basically a rundown of the whole book. I can't say it was good, but it definitely had potential if the book was longer and the characters/plot had actually been decently developed. 2.5 stars.
I needed a palate cleanser after a really great but intense book, and this novella hit the spot. You get a mix of holiday romance with a huge helping of omegaverse and reverse harem - sounds like a good time to me.
Apparently Santa is not the only one ho-ho-ho-ho-ing in the North Pole. 😉
So, I found this book far after Christmas... but that doesn't matter much. ;) And like all, or at least most novellas, I've read, in the end I wished there was more. A lot more. But alas, I have to live with that.
What's more to say? It was cute and sweet. Definitely fitting for a Christmas story. And unique in a way, too. I, at least, never read a book over a Santa who matched Omegas and Alphas. And of course it wasn't just sweet, but had steamy and hot times, too. It's tamer, than the most books. RH is my favorite genre. So, there is often group times, MM and just more. It doesn't subtract anything from it. I liked it very much. Non-shifter Sweetverse and consent have a special place in my reading preferences, but there aren't a lot out at the moment. And probably I have read the most of them, that are, anyway.
This is a fun Christmas paranormal reverse harem novella! For those who are familiar with the genre, it is a sweet omega verse short story. Holly, a 30 year old omega, lives at the North Pole and is one of Santa’s main helpers. She has been unsuccessful in matching with her own pack and has given up on that dream. But the magic of Christmas and her Boss, the one and only Mr Kris Kringle, may have something else in store. I really enjoyed the story and characters and was a sexy and cute Christmas story.
Thank you to Maya Nicole for the opportunity to read and review a complimentary digital copy of the story. My opinion is my own.
We have another fun little short read with all the steam and spice one could possibly handle.
Here we have an elf. Not just any elf but an omega elf that works for the big man in the red suit. Santa Claus.
He sends our dear elf out to shoo away some pesky hikers that come too close to the pole for comfort. Or so he says.
For a short novella it has the drama and emotions I crave from a full length book wrapped up nicely in a bow for a perfect little Christmas read. I instantly loved it and the characters and their “stuck” together situation. Not only did I enjoy it but I want to see more from it!!!
At the ripe old age of 30, Holly is an Omega with no pack. Fortunately for her, the North Pole is a safe haven for Omegas who never found their place. When "Mr. Kringle" gives Holly an assignment only she can fulfill, her life turns upside down.
This story is the perfect little gingerbread read for your holiday. Sweet and spicy, it fulfills all your cravings. It's a novella, so it moves much faster than Ms. Nicole's usual works, but the adoration and heat are in no way lacking.
I have nothing but cookie-cutter hearts to say about this book.
This was a short, spicy omegaverse novella that will get you in the Christmas spirit! Holly is a 30 year old omega who gave up on her dream to find a pack. She works for Santa making toys for the children on Christmas Day. One day Mr. Kringle sends Holly into town on a job and she ends up getting stranded with in a snowstorm. This is a fast, paced read that is perfect for anyone who loves omegaverse books!
This book is the perfect steamy read for the holidays. It is short but super hot. Santa plays match maker in this sweet Omegaverse. Holy had given up on finding her pack so she spends her days at the North Pole helping none other than the big guy himself. As the Holiday approaches Holly gets a special mission, keep four hikers from finding Santa’s work shop. A run away reindeer and snow storm later and this special mission gets a heck of hotter.

'Tis the season for Christmas romances, and I am not sure if anything can top this one! I loved it! Holly, the fmc, is the epitome of Murphy's Law. The tart, the cider, Dasher, the storm.. you get it.
Her goal when she meets Kayden, Trace, Max and Lucas, is to run them off and away from the North Pole. What she didn't expect is for them to be her Alphas.
This story was a cute, steamy, fast paced, instalove, HEA novella. Absolutely worth reading over and over!
Yall this was just perfect 👌🏻😍. In just 59 pages our Omega Holly is sent on a job from Santa himself to get rid of 4 men who wandered into the wrong area. Well, so she thinks she was sent to get rid of them. 👀
These Alphas are hot, and ready to find their Omega. Add in some forced proximity curtosy of a snow storm and you get one hot Christmas novella.
Is it bad that I want more of them? Because I definitely do. 😅
This is a quick and lighthearted read to get you in the holiday spirit. Still not real sure what the purpose was of hiding an omega with Santa but who wouldn't like the idea of being the thing Santa gifts to a worthy pack of alphas? I could have cheered for a little more angst but the ending was sweet and I suppose it satisfied a craving. Still, I'd recommend to anyone looking for a low/no conflict read that you can finish in about an hour. Happy holidays and enjoy!
