Stefanie’s life and livelihood have always been in the woods. She’s never been more fulfilled anywhere else, but on her latest field survey she can’t deny that something is wrong. She assured Uncle Jack that she would be safe while in the forest, but it’s getting more and more difficult to explain away some odd events. She’s never experienced fear like this before. Is a menacing presence stalking her team from the trees?
Will Stefanie discover what they’re up against in time to save them all?
Everton, Idaho has a secret; there are things in the woods that pose a threat, and they're far more dangerous than anyone realized. This is nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat storytelling at its best and I'm stoked to have come across this author and her books. If ever there was a more perfect sequel I haven't come across it. Truly inspiring, and terrifying, and worth the nighttime anxiety I'm bound to have, at least until I read something less unnerving. -Jim X Dodge, author of The Bite and Erogenous Jones: Private Dicktective
The first one was good but a cliff hangers. (I despise cliff hangers.) This one reiterated the first one for quite sometime. Then it got really good. However, there is no real ending. The next one is not on Amazon prime. What? Come on! GREED!.
What was a seemingly very slow start quickly picked up and was an excellent second book! As someone who doesn’t scare easy and has spent more than my fair share of time alone in the wilderness taking photos at night, this book gave me actual goosebumps. Can’t wait to start the third book.
At about 50% read the book finally picked up. It is so slow to begin. After halfway, I couldn't put it down. I liked the first so I'll give the third a shot.
