Helena Novak (she/her) has been making things up and bending people to her will from a very young age. She loves animals, tattoos, music, laughing, and reading, and you can usually find her entertaining one of those muses. She spends an obscene amount of time finding pretty new words and thinking up awful ways to torment her characters, and has the attention span of a gnat.
When not writing every single genre she can get her greedy little brain hooked on, she can be found walking one of her many furbabies, making havoc with her credit union work buddies, or jamming out in her car to Broadway musical soundtracks. She lives in the beautiful state of Colorado with her fur-babies.
DNF 3 pages in after the unnamed princess started to argue with her father about her arranged marriage.
The story started with introducing a 15 year old princess who was gifted with magic that everyone thought was dangerous. The princess disagreed it was necessary, and I had to quit when there weren't even any names by the time she started arguing with her father the king. The text just referred to them as "the princess" and "the king." I didn't want to read about a minor, and the writing was flat. I had no idea if they were the real main characters of the short story by the time I quit.
What if the seven deadly sins came to your kingdom? If you are Karma there certainly is a way to fight back. It doesn't go as one might expect, but there is no overcoming Karma.
