Corinna and Knox have been in love since they first laid eyes on each other. At such a young age, they planned a future that lined up with the other’s. That’s until a secret is revealed that separates them for years. What’s supposed to be goodbye turns out to be see you later when Corinna and Knox are forced to reconnect a decade later.
Times, ages, and the year has changed, but what hasn’t is the feelings they have for each other. Their reconnection brings about a bevy of unresolved issues and conflicts for them. What will happen when the try to merge lives that have been separate for so long?
Mrs. Amore has given us another masterpiece to lock and throw away the key mentally. I feel like Corrina story was the third leg of the race. It was a few pot holes and speed bumps, but she crossed the finish line. 🏁🏁 She brought home the medal between her, Ke'maji, and Melody. This book was quite emotional on a lot of levels. 😭😭
The mere fact that Knox came home to seek therapy for the PTSD he developed from being in war spoke volumes. He soon realized that he also desired to get healed from his childhood trauma. He knew that getting the help he needed would help him and his career. It had to be hard to experience losing friends right in the front of your face. That alone is enough to traumatize anyone. Ms. Corinna had her own set of problems, because usually the "strongest" friend is the most sensitive. She or he is really the friend that needs a shoulder to cry on. It was sad how explosive it was when everything came to the light but a necessity. It was really an essential cleansing for the friendship. Corinna had to put Melody in her place that is what I call a true friend. After all of that ish hit the fan it allowed for the restoring of the "sisterhood."
This is a magnificent read, that will have you in your feelings. It is so much packed into these pages. A lot of heart-wrenching topics were touched on throughout the book. It was ironic because both individuals in Knox and Corinna's lives had been just placeholders. Knox and Corinna had that second chance love. Second chance love like they had was good because their feelings had marinated over the years. They also established their love at a young age, so that the foundation was solid. The road was rocking back to each other because of the years apart, but their souls realigned at the right moment. I highly recommend this book. As a matter-of-fact, I say start with "Dare Me to Love You" then "Natural Selection" so you could get to know the "sisterhood" circle.
P.S. The scene when Corinna encounters Levi and Grace while in the act, but addresses the smell. It was comical 😁 to me because I could only imagine the facial reaction. 🤢
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 There are so many things I want to say about Corinna and Knox but I don’t want to give the story away lol! I loved the emotion behind these two, the reader truly felt everything they were experiencing! I was mad at the author when she made Corinna cry 🤣🤣 I couldn’t even blame Knox it was all the authors fault lol. But this was a bomb story and if you’re looking for a book that will have you on the edge of your seat, unable to put it down, and have you ready to climb through your iPhone 11 🥴👀😵💫 this is the book for you 💖 I not only recommend A Souls Realignment but I recommend the author as well🙌🏾
Knox and Corrina were young lovers, but Knox's decision to join the army caused them to go there separate ways for years. I really wanted to like this story, but I was unable to connect with the characters. Corrina was the strong friend that was in shambles, but kept making decisions that added to her stress. Knox was a liar and communicated poorly. It felt like they really needed to work on themselves individually before embarking on a relationship. Overall this story felt forced. The conversation wasn't fluid and the random use of Neo lyrics were a no for me.
When I first started reading this, I was so taken with Knox and his troubles that I cried for him...but continuing to read, I felt less bad and more mad at the way he was moving. Both Knox and Corinna had a lot of healing to do and Although they both acknowledged their shortcomings, I don't believe the work was done for them to move on. The story was well written, I would have liked to see more character development and not a HEA that wasn't earned or deserved.
Cherish! The layers of emotion that I am feeling right now, I just can't unpack it all! Whew! Both Knox and Corinna, held in so much baggage, pain and fear within that it spilled over into their daily lives. I could almost feel Knox's anxiety when he was battling those terrorizing thoughts, brought on by his PTSD! He tried his damnedest to be okay, knowing that he was internally drowning! But, being home and near Corinna was the salve that could cure any and every ailment that could come his way. Corinna! Being that tough friend is a blessing and a curse. Everyone feels that you can handle everything, and never realize that you may have a weak moment, where you need someone to lean on! Corinna had held in all of her frustrations about her friends dumping on her, until she reached her boiling point! Then with Knox around and the ish with him, she was slowing losing it! Separate these two were a hot mess! Trying to navigate through life, while missing a huge piece of themselves. But the love they shared was right on the surface, waiting to be reclaimed! They were truly a force together! Although they really went through it, while doing some serious work, it was all worth it in the end. A beautiful read! 👍👍👍
I appreciated the revelations of "the strong friend" because it seems they are often look because people assume they can handle anything that comes their way. While they more than likely can handle it, people have no idea of the wear and tear it causes emotionally and mentally. I loved the idea of Knox & Corrina but I could help thinking that they should've left well enough alone. Levi is a world class weirdo and Grace--my goodness find some self esteem or a life coach or something. Although he was wrong, Shea got what she too eagerly signed up for.
I was rooting for Melody in the other stories but she came across as a little grimey in this one but I guess it is tricky when you feel stuck in the middle.
Corinna is my spirit animal. I felt everything she was going through. It was like reading my daily thoughts...Knox was so close to getting these hands... but I couldn't help but fall for him...
Levi - eww🤢🤢🤢. Shea - girl, do better! The friend circle, I have to check if they have their own books because I could tell their love stories would be interesting reads.
These characters were well developed in all their flaws and it just made the experience even more emotional. 5⭐s #HighlyRecommend if only cause it made me cry so much 😢 😭 🤧
I’m in tears writing this review!!! My heart is sooooooo full after reading this book… My bae Knox and what he been through PTSD is real. My dad is in the Army and some of the stuff he tells me it makes me cry!!! Corrina is my bay too because that’s how I feel most times!!! Lexi wanted to see these 🙌🏾 !!! The things they went through my god!!! Friends are everything but sometimes some things need to be said to have to clear the air.. I love the steps he did to get right. Progress is key.. Overall this book was phenomenal!!!
Amazing beyond the pages. One thing I can truly appreciate about Cherish, is when it comes to touchy subjects others may shy away from she handles them full on. PTSD is real, as someone that has dealt with it firsthand I must say this book was spot on. We as humans don't realize what our loved ones may be battling under the surface. Knox and Corinna were two souls separated but years apart didn't change the love they had for each other. Through it all love won for sure. A love story wrapped up in the reality of life. If I could give it ten stars I would!
They all needed therapy. Corinna was the worst. She was all over the place. Just a book of contradictions. First Melody was her best friend, then Melody was the least liked of the group, then she really was her friend. Knox was a liar. His actions was fouled. Then for them to fight and tear up Racquel’s house while she’s in labor, should never have happen. I would have put all of them up out of my house. I just didn’t enjoy the book. I keep trying to read Ms. Amore’s books but her writing style is just not for me.
I’m filled with so much emotions reading this book and I had to delay reading it to make it last longer. This author was able to execute this finale so well and all past issues came out full force. The love and connection between Corinna and Knox was felt through every interaction. Between the therapy for PTSD for Knox and Corinna finally crying and admitting even though she’s strong she still needs someone to pick her up when she falls. I highly recommend this book!
Corrina was young but knew what love was when it came to Knox. Just teenagers and immature, Knox made a critical error in not sharing had the feelings with Carinna. Feeling betrayed she broke up with him, yet she was heartbroken he didn't come after her. Fast forward ten years later and history repeats itself again, how tragic. Knox therapist insisted he he honest and real causing him to communicate honestly and break down the barriers they both had built. Given a second chance to reunite was rewarding and were granted the desires of their hearts.
Awesome read. Knox and Corinna date during high school. Knox decided to go into the Army after graduating from high school. Corinna was not happy with not being told before hand and she broke up with Knox. Knox was gone for over 10 years but after experiencing some traumatic events he was sent home to get therapy. Knox came home to seek therapy for the PTSD and to deal with issues from his childhood. Corinna and Knox loved one another and was good friends. Even after being apart for years, they still loved one another.
There was so much to unpack as far as the emotions between the ladies and Corrine’s role as the “strong friend” ! We all have 1 of those and some of us is that friend. Knox was far from perfect. He had issues from childhood and his military service. I appreciate the book depicting the plight of those suffering from PTSD so well. Love was not a question but was love really enough for a second and third chance?
Whew! It’s been a minute since Cherish has given us characters who have stressed me out, but here we have Knox and Corinna!!! These two playing games with themselves and those around them, instead of being honest with themselves! This is not the 2nd chance romance that is a cakewalk. I cried a few times reading this book. As usual , Cherish writes a realistic look and friendship and love . Top tier!
This story touched my soul. The way thus story was told you would've thought I was part of this story. DeeTed xI cried, I was disappointed and I wanted to fight.
The part about the PTSD was significant to me. I appreciated that situation, but was devastated to see that he lost his friend in war that way. When harbouring do much devastation that has occurred in life, can mess up your future.
How the strong Black woman narrative can be to one's detriment
I related to Corinna in so many ways. It is unfortunate that Black women are expected to be strong for so many others but who is there for us? This was an emotional read that made me reflect on my own situation and to be mindful of others. It was a lot to unpack but every layer revealed made the journey through the book worthwhile. Extremely worthwhile.
Corinna and Knox’s journey to forever is one filled with angst, insecurities and hurt feelings. It’s also full of love, longing, redemption and forgiveness.
I couldn’t rooting for them to find their way back to each other. I really loved how the friendship/sisterhood between Corinna, Melody, Ke’ maji, Raquel has matured and prospered over the years. I enjoyed A Souls Realignment. Kudos Author Cherish Amore.
This book was wonderfully written and I enjoyed it immensely. Corinna and Knox's had a love history together. If we're lucky in this life we find our person. Although the time may not be right the person never changes. It was an absolute pleasure reading this book 🥰.
This book had everything that LOVE is. The ups , the downs, the amazing earth shattering memorable moments. But most of the unconditional forgiveness. I absolutely loved this book and was hooked from beginning to end. It shows that love could be possible and you don’t have to settle.
A connection and a realignment for sure. The story was about a second chance romance. Years passed before this couple was able to reconnect and come together again. The journey was bumpy unnecessarily, thanks to both being selfish—a good read overall.
Wow!! This is such as great read!! This book made went through so many emotions hurt, sad, crying laughing and oh no but it was truly worth it. If you are looking for something that I think we all can relate to please check out this.
Beautiful story about soul mates who had to fight for themselves and their relationship.
The decisions they made both past and present was a lot, but they had to learn from their mistakes and move on. Soul mates are forever no matter what they may encounter.
The strongest survived! I enjoyed the storyline and characters.. I love how the author had the main characters digging deeper within themselves so their relationship could be stronger than before.. The flow was great.. Please read this good standalone
I'm so glad Corinna found her true love once again, she had to go through some things but in the end she got her man. Well Knox had to face a lot from his pass but Corinna was his heart and he was not letting her go, Great book.
A Souls Realignment was a Good Read. I loved that Knox and Corinna love for each survived the chaos that they created for each other. There was chaos and camaraderie in this book.
Aww this was so sweet! I could relate to this book being a veteran and now spouse. I also currently live in Bavaria. This made my heart swoon. Keep up the great work
