Series Book Two
Trace Randall is an ex-rodeo rider, now a rancher. Things happened in his past that he carries the guilt for…even though it’s not his to carry. So when a new neighbor moves in, he helps her…with the push from his sister Carrie…but he keeps himself distant in other ways.
Kristine “Kris” Donaldson just found out she inherited property. If only she knew she had a living relative…besides her mother who disappeared and then her sister cutting off all contact. She’d been through the foster system, fell for the wrong guy, and got drawn into his unlawfulness. She has a new hope now, fixing up Wind Hill and selling it to get out of debt and start a new life. Only, so far, that plan isn’t going too well.
After Kris gets the county contract for using her property as the local animal shelter, things go wrong. Trace does all he can to protect her, but she’s pretty independent. Kris, Erin, and Megan had been close friends. But, after Laura was murdered while they were children, all their lives changed. I’m enjoying this series and looking forward to the next book.

Imagine being alone in the world, burdened by past mistakes and feeling unworthy of a good life. The most important goal Kris has is finding her sister, separated while they were in foster care. Then imagine inheriting a cabin in the Rocky Mtns! From there the author creates an exciting story that weaves fear, romance and hope all through it! I enjoyed this book as much as the first in this series and look forward to the next one!

Another episode from the characters of the Montana series. Rustand writes a good suspense. This one gave us Kris's return to her Aunt cabin where she spent time with the few relatives she had left. Alone now except for her old pup she swore she would run do what she could not to have to sell her inheritance. Looking forward to part 3 in the Montana Secrets series.

Kris shows up with her dog and is looking at the cabin and what needs to be done. Trace thinks she's broken in and calls the sheriff. They both are good people with a tortured past. Everyone helps her get the place up to code and she's given the contract for the county animal shelter. They try to keep distance between them but when someone burns down her cabin and tries to kill her, Trace steps in, helps with the arrest and wins the girl. Great story.

Is her ex coming after her?
Goodness I really didn't see this coming. She is new to town and ends up opening up the county Animal shelter. He comes over to help the new neighbor get her place ready for the animal shelter. Low and behold carrying out a court order to take position of some very sick dogs and her life will be for ever changed.

Again, I couldn't put my kindle down. This story is amazig
I am in the hospital and their WiFi is not working since yesterday am I actually was done with this story then. Trace and Kris are remarkable together. It just took a while to start sharing their pasts and now the are falling in love.

Kris is in Montana again to take on her aunt’s property. some one is trying to wipe her out.
Kris has inherited her aunts property and she comes up with a way of fixing it. Her neighbors have been great help until someone starts trying to wipe out everything she has done and that includes her. Again her neighbors come to help

Suspense, Mystery, and Revenge!
Again, I did not figure out the mysteries until close to the end, enlarging the suspense. Second chances, new beginnings, forgiveness of one's own self, as well as of others, learning to trust in whatever circumstance, and letting go of the past. All great topics, coupled with great and interesting characters. Well done!

Good, clean, suspenseful fun!
I enjoyed this book, with the characters who struggled with forgiving themselves and finding each other. There were some twists and turns, which I enjoyed. I am looking forward to the other books in this series!

Excellent book
MS Rustand is a great author. I have read several of her books, and loved them all. I like dogs, SAR, dog rescue and vetsnkennels! You will like this this well written and researched book.

Very enjoyable Christian mystery, bit of romance
This book is an entertaining read with good mystery, suspense, and a bit of romance. I enjoyed the Christianity lightly sprinkled into the story. It's an easy read and I look forward to more in this series.
