"Thank you for protecting me... and for loving me."
Ruka has finally awakened to his true feelings towards Mito. Without regard for gender or destiny, he is in love. But, not wanting to give her up, Ren has erased Mito's memories of Ruka, transformed her into a boy, and is about to marry her! Ruka, madly in love, crashes the ceremony, and...! Then, mysterious new characters are introduced as a new chapter in the heart-pounding boys' love-esque romance drama begins!
She made her debut in September 2003 in the monthly manga magazine Nakayoshi with her story, Tenshi no Tamago ("Angel's Egg", no relation to the anime movie of the same name). Gokkun! Pūcho is considered her best representative work. Tokyopop has licenced it under the title Pixie Pop. All of her works are published by Kodansha, and they are enjoyed mainly by preteen and teen girls. None of her series have yet become anime.
At the first issue, I was on the fence, but each book since then has spurred me onto the next, and here we are in 6. Ren makes a quick exit and rival #2 character appears. I do like Mito and Ruka together better now that they are both comfortable with the relationship, but the pacing is janky. In the last book, the second the fake Mito appeared, she was wisked off to the homeland for a shotgun wedding, but things are way different now, and we're even back at school, worrying about passing grades. 😩🤨 There's no rhyme or reason, it seems, to many of these story points, and it breaks right in the middle of the main plot development for this volume. It's really a mess, but somehow I'm enjoying it and finally rooting for the "right" person.
This is where I'm calling it. I'm happy with the ending of this volume. I could read Volume 7, but 8-14 are not on Kindle Unlimited so I'm unlikely to finish the series anyway.
I definitely preferred this volume over 5, however there is a lot going on and I really don't know how I feel about every guy somehow falling for Mito?? she's really not that special but I guess that's the route we're going here
3 stars...mostly for the art...it seemed like with the first chapter with the main rival/secondary character driving away it was over...but, it's not. Now there is someone new and the secret is not a secret but still is and it's losing its footing for me. A low 3 stars.
🙄🙄 Ren irked me so much. All that drama, and then he whisks off into the sunset?
Also,I read 1-5 in one sitting and then came back to read 6 about 2 weeks later, and whoa. Binging this series is the best way to get through some of the cringy bits. Otherwise, you'll get whiplash
J’étais très dubitative concernant le tome 5 mais celui-ci rattrape complètement la donne. J’ai adoré et je suis super contente de retrouver les personnages ! L’histoire bouge !! 🌸🧛
