Every single line of news, left unattended becomes a part of dry statistics. Inside all those innocent and passive sentences are hidden stories of human values and emotions. The hymns of religious books contain a world of stories of immense values, if only one was sincere enough to look at them and tells us the struggles of those time. Centuries pass, the world changes but the questions confronting the mankind remain unchanged. Those questions about love, war, faith, humanity and parenthood do not change with changing times. These stories are written on varied subjects, each represents a single statistical data, one single truth, echoing through a thousand emotions. These are not journalistic pieces and do not vouch for the authenticity of stories behind a single verse in religious texts, a single headline in the newspaper. These stories use author's sensitivity and force of imagination to understand the hidden text behind headlines and verses which we come across every day. There are stories on Wars, on Love, on Human relationships, on Honor killing, Child Exploitation, Religion and Faith. They have stayed with me for years, almost hounding me to write them. Hope they will stay with the reader as long as they have stayed with me and will liberate their emotions as they have liberated mine.

Been Fan of Saket Sir's writing for a decade now!
Every genre sir writes for- He makes sure readers live the stories and words.
Ek Svar, Sahastra Pratidhwaniya- is collection of 9 stories which will make you grounded to your roots and also provoke thousands of emotions inside you!
I without any doubt always comment that - NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE can write father-daughter relationship and emotions better than Saket sir. He is the best.
In this book he has made the father daughter emotions striving from prachin to arvachin times!
The generation gap-father daughter problems and feelings with stories of Sati, Himalaya, Shivaji to modern day dad. Also the stories talk about today's youth, revolution, honor killing, child exploitation, war, faith- and would make you feel emotions of all characters, living all stories in different eras!
The first story and the legendary dialogue of it-is the most nearest to my heart and I can so resonate with it. I wish I could read that with my dad!

भारत में अनेक संस्कृतियों और अनेक सभ्यताओं का मेल हुआ है, इन सभ्यताओं के साथ ही भारत में अनेक विचारों का आगमन भी हुआ। प्राचीन और मध्य युग की सभ्यता को आधुनिक विज्ञानवाद की दृष्टि से जब समझने का प्रयास किया गया, तब उसने अनेक मान्यताओं पर चोट की।
भारत मानव सभ्यता का प्राचीन केंद्र रहा है, और इसके अनेक ग्रन्थ उस सभ्यता के साक्षी हैं, पर विज्ञान का युग उन ग्रंथों की कथाओं को काल्पनिक एवं मिथ्या मानता रहा है।
जब भारत में अंग्रेजी सभ्यता का आरंभ हुआ, तब उसने यहाँ अपनी सभ्यता के द्वार खोलने चाहे, पर उनके मार्ग में भारत के आध्यात्मिक ग्रन्थ बाधक थे। भारत की प्राचीन सभ्यता का ज्ञान यहाँ के बच्चे-बच्चे को था। भारत में अंग्रेजी सभ्यता का प्रसार हो उसके लिए इन बच्चों को उनकी जड़ों से दूर करना ही एकमात्र उपाय था।
वह विज्ञान की क्रांति का भी युग था, कृषि क्षेत्र में भी कई सफ़ल प्रयोग कर अन्न की पैदावार बढ़ाने के प्रयोग चल रहे थे। पौधों में ग्राफ्टिंग कर के एक ही वृक्ष पर अनेक रंगों के फूल सजाये जा रहे थे, इसमें पौधों की जड़ें तो वही रहती हैं, पर उनका ऊपरी स्वभाव बदल जाता है।
जब अंग्रेजी शिक्षा ने भारत में जगह बनाई तब, उन्होंने यहाँ की जड़ों में बदलाव नहीं किया, उन्होंने उनके मस्तिष्क में एक प्रकार से ग्राफ्टिंग कर दी। इस ग्राफ्टिंग का प्रभाव ये हुआ कि जड़ों से तो हम अपनी परंपरा से जुड़े हैं, पर हमारा ऊपरी भाग उसका विरोधी हो गया।
इस आधुनिक शिक्षा के चलते भ्रम का ऐसा जाल बिछा हुआ है कि युवा वर्ग अपने आप को अपनी संस्कृति से जोड़ने का प्रयास भी नहीं करता। उसके लिए धर्म और कर्म जैसे कार्य बुज़ुर्गों के लिए ही बने हैं। धार्मिक ग्रंथों और अपने इतिहास को जानने का वे प्रयास भी नहीं करते। उन्हें जूलियस सीज़र का इतिहास पता है, उन्हें नेपोलियन का इतिहास पता है, पर अपना इतिहास शून्य है।
"एक स्वर सहस्त्र प्रतिध्वनियाँ" पुस्तक में साकेत जी ने इस भ्रम के जाल को हटाने का प्रयास किया है। इस पुस्तक में ११ छोटी छोटी कथाएँ हैं, जो युवा वर्ग को उनकी संस्कृति से जोड़ने में सहायक होंगी। इन कथाओं में आपको भारतीय संस्कृति के वे स्वर सुनाई देते हैं जिनकी प्रतिध्वनियाँ प्रत्येक युग में सुनने को मिलते रहेंगे, बस ज्योति जलाने वाले हाथ चलते रहें।

very average, he has used very difficult hindi where as colloquial language would have done it. wastage of money..
