Past helps you recollect the good times, Past will be ignored for Painful reasons, But Past will teach you to be stronger in the present.
This is exactly what the book is about. How your past can have an effect on your present.
Interesting story and easy read. The story is about intelligence officer undertakes the riskiest mission which is connected to its past ending up in a terrifying nightmare. The wonderful narration keeps the readers hooked from the very first chapter. Well-characterized with attention to detail. The mystery of events with surprises, shocking revelations, confessions, and bitter truths. As you read, the pieces of his past fit together to form a complete picture. Relatable issues in the family, relationship, and society are dealt with. You experience a roller coaster journey of emotions and tension in you during his battle against time. It has all the ingredients you would look for in a story. Brief paragraphs where past speaks, Meaningful verses depicting the loved one's feelings, fantastic explanation of the hopscotch game we play in childhood to the rules of life and humor in the gravest of the situations stand out in the book.
Lovely lines from the Book:
. Traditions, religions, and beliefs did not define a happy family; affection and understanding did. . Struggles are like washing machines—they twist, they spin and knock us around but, in the end, we come out cleaner, brighter and better than before. . Not all scars show, not all wounds heal.
Never forget what you did in the past and that it will come back to you in ways you cannot imagine.
A most immature plot and unbelievable story. I can't believe I ordered it. Thankfully the print is large and I could finish it in half a day. I don't even feel like writing a brief synopsis of the book.
If your past could be erased, would you erase it?Sadly you have no choice in this matter because I,your past,am invincible. If you think you can escape me,you're already doomed.
Hey guys i am back with an another review of the recently launched book THE SECRETS WE KEEP by the amazing author Sudeep Nagarkar. ●Its a story of Rahul,an intelligence officer who falls in love with the Major's daughter,Akriti, unknowingly putting her in danger.Rahul is on a secret mission,to protect Akriti and he decides to hide her at his Parent's house. ●Rahul's parents' always compare him with his elder brother,And he was sandwiched between his parents' expectations and his own reality. This made him hate not only his parents but also his brother,Karan. ●At a tender age,if you are not made to feel wanted or loved, you develop perceptions about people whom you consider to be the reason for your suffering. And sometimes, these perceptions are hard to break . ●Rahul escaped from his house years back and after years,he decides to hide Akriti at her Parents house.Estranged from his family for years,he must first make amends with them. ●Now what happens with Rahul in all those years and why he escaped from his house. Also there are many twists and turns in his Story, which he faced with the biggest shock of his life. ●All the characters described so well and the language is lucid and easy, also recommend for beginners.
I could just say that this book is just not my type, but I'll just go out of character and say this book is stupid. The plot, characters, situations, writing, and pretty much everything is, in lack of the better word, trash.
There are great books with simple/easy to read writing too.
The story revolves around Rahul, an undercover agent who is on a secret mission to protect a Major's daughter, Akriti, whom he fell in love with. He decides to hide her in his parents' house which he left many years back. He parents always compared him with his elder brother which made him hate them both.
So after years of returning home and hiding Akriti there, he needs to make some amends first.
Now the twist comes, when Rahul discovers that Akriti is suddenly missing and on his search to find her, rahul's past comes knocking on his door, he comes across rashi, who is his ex's sister, an investigating agent officer of RAN and a reveals a secret about Akriti that she is a pakistani agent.
Now you must be wondering what happened next? Was Akriti really an agent?Where is she? Sounds interesting but i would not recommend to invest your money.
■It seems like a very suspenseful story but according to me the ending was childish and predictable. It started with a high and got totally spoiled in the end. A typical Bollywood movie
■Also it has a very simple language, so surely not recommended for heavy readers.
P.S you will not be missing anything worthy, if you don't purchase this book.
I hope it helped you make your decision #happyreading 🌼🌼🌼

The Secrets We Keep is a romantic thriller. The story revolves around the past, how past affects the present in Rahul's life who is an Intelligent Officer and is also the main protagonist. It also speaks about a dysfunctional family, how comparison even for a minuscule thing can affect one's confidence in a longer run. The humor described in this story is really nice. The author's description on love, emotions and friendship is to the point and described very beautifully. Especially the strong bond between Rahul and Neerav has been described very nicely. No matter how the situation is serious they abide with each other till the end like true friends and brothers.
The plot of the story will take you through suspense, past revelations and confessions, and mystery.
Even though it is the author's first attempt to write this genre (romantic thriller), he has written the story nicely which hooks up the reader to read the story in one go.
God, its just another creepy, bad love story The bad version of "old vine in new bottle" i can't believe i spend money on this book Guys, i will tell you the story its way too predictable that you will figure the rest before completeing my review So we have Rahul(another cliche romantic hero, even the name) a secret agent undercover who falls in love with the girl he was supposed to protect (somebody should have helped her when he raped her Don't be alarmed, i think the writer intended it to be a romantic encounter but i personally feel that when a girl says NO, it should be treated as a NO Not like "we are going to be living happily ever after so its okay for me to jump on you") So Rahul has a past, after so many buildup we find it that he ran away from home young, when he got caught for stealing money for gifts to his girlfriend
So the villain is the girlfriend's sister who takes revenge on him by kidnapping Akriti(current girlfriend ) as her sister had gone insane after his disappearance. Blah blah blah so bad the book Don't waste time, money on it

I won this book in a giveaway by @bookrocket @penguinindia This is my first book that I have read by this author. Loved the cover and the blurb. The blurb just put in the right amount of suspense to push me to pick up the book. The story is simple romance with a bit of suspense and a bit of thrill. All elements were present but not in ample quantity or in the right combination. The language is simple and easy to read. The narrative is jumpy and fragmented at places. I would have preferred it to be smoother. Although the author did make an attempt to tie up loose ends it just felt that he did them as an afterthought. Initial part of the story was interesting and plotted well but it fell flat in the end. I personally felt the author was in a hurry to complete the story. This is a good book for beginners in the genre or as a one time read if you like combination genre stories
Title: "The Secrets We Keep" Author: Sudeep Nagarkar
"Family is where life begins, and love never ends."
This is a concise and straightforward narrative, centering on an INA assistant undercover officer who safeguards his girlfriend, Akriti. However, he loses her when he briefly steps away to make a purchase. His search for her brings his past to the forefront, unveiling clues that connect the dots to a crime he committed in his childhood. The story is undeniably captivating. Will he manage to rescue his girlfriend? To unravel this intriguing mystery, delve into the pages of this book. In summary, it's a straightforward thriller brimming with unexpected twists and turns.
There is nothing which I like about this books. The plot sounded promising in the beginning but turned out to be entirely unbelievable and childish. The writing style was juvenile. Facts were handed out without giving actual descriptions. Frankly, I did not care either about the characters or the book.
This book do justice to its title but I would say if the author shall not added the part where rashi was asking for rahul past and disclose rashi's identity in the end it would have a major impact and would be a great plot twist. By including that part, it was very easy to predict the plot twist. A predictable book :)

Our Protagonist Rahul take his gf to go and meet his parents and from there things start to deplete as Rashi from RAN want revenge from Rahul Because she hold Rahul and Karan responsible for things happens in there past. Now Rahul have to save his gf Akriti in 7 days and in following days truth unveiled and story found its roots grounded and that make story a perfect balanced story.
Never forget what you did in the past and that it will come back to you in ways you cannot imagine.
I feel bad for Trisha as she suffered the most. Also the very relatable senerio of households where parents compare there children and which affect the entire life of them. Comparison is the worst thing to do, as everyone in unique in his or her own ways. The emotions of friendship, love, caring, revenge, anger and forgiveness are shown beautifully. Also the love for nation is also shown superbly. All the characters play there role at there best. I felt connected to each and every character in the story and the story itself moves at a perfect pace. The language is easy. Some sentences are really heart touching.
It is the author's first attempt to write this genre (romantic thriller), he has written the story nicely which hooks up the reader. I m a huge fan of Sudeep sir's writing. Have read all his books but this has something different. It's a full on package of love, Romance, suspense, revenge and betrayal.

Title : THE SECRETS WE KEEP Author: SUDEEP NAGARKAR Genre : FICTION Sudeep Nargarkar, the Indian novelist, who started with FEW THINGS LEFT UNSAID, has become the receipt of 2013 Youth Achiever's Award for being one of the top writer in romance genre. In his row of books, it's his first attempt to come up with a romance thriller. As the book quotes WITHOUT DESTRUCTION THERE IS NO CREATION, yes..., it is the mistake which the protagonist made in his past lead to this plot. The story starts with Rahul, who is on an undercover mission, accidentally falls in love with Akriti. The love sequence and the way things were revealed to either of their families are well said. When he finds that her life is in danger because of him, he decides to hide her in his house. That's were the plot becomes quite clean with his past memories describing his struggle as a young boy with parents of different minds who keep comparing his attitude with that of his brother's. As a result, Rahul runs away from his family and girlfriend in his past. With few twists and turns, the story moves quietly in a well structured manner. Is he and his past responsible for the missing of Akriti? Then what happened to his ex girlfriend? How is he gonna save his love? Is Akriti a terrorist as the officer says? Will his family change their minds after all the happenings? Leaving these questions to readers, the author has beautifully sharpened the book and its plot. The cover adds an extra score to the book and the feelings as a young suppressed child is too deep that it catches the attention of the reader. Phrases like : Not all scars show, not all wounds heal. To heal a wound u need to stop touching it; are way too attractive. Overall, the attempt of the author in bringing a romance cum thriller novel is upto the mark with a wonderful and happy ending. Nice story highlighting the effects of love , betrayal, family and relationships.
The main protagonist never recieved the love and affection he deserves from anyone around him. He got no other option rather to go and be a spy in one of the leading organization falling into death traps every now and then. The plot is good in terms of execution, suspense.
Then there is love depicted in the story, his only ambition n desire in life. A most Intense and passionate relationship from falling in love at first sight. It turns out to be bitter due to unavoidable circumstances.
Next come the element of utter disgrace, feeling of being hurt and leaving without any valid reason ruins the relationship between the two. This further leads to mental depression and trauma of feeling left alone in the dark which creates a unique twist to the plot.
Then comes the element of revenge and betrayal in order to fight against the injustice done taking advantage of the ever increasing fight among the Intelligence Organisations.
Then followed the intense hardship and brotherhood. One can clearly see the ups and down between the brothers helping, protecting each other. They never were able to bond with each other as they were always discriminated withing the family. The final moments of truth came in the end was quite a nutcracker. However i didnt like how it reveals as a outcome of revenge, hate and betrayal.
Overall good book to read in terms of thrill n excitement.
***RECOMMENDED*** The story is about Rahul an intelligence office, who is in a secret mission at major's house. In between the mission, he fall in love with major's daughter Akriti. Due to few reasons, he want to protect Akriti from enemies. Under certain circumstances he take her to his home which he left 14 years back. But she goes missing. You will find it interesting to know why he left his house. Rahul was blamed as he can never fulfill his parents dream and not a prefect child. After leaving his house, we know life won't be easy then how he became intelligence officer. They plots are interesting. MUST READ.
Is he responsible for Akriti's missing? Is that has to do something related to his past? Or is Akriti connected with terrorist? You can expect such questions coming up in your mind while reading this book. What I liked in this book : ✨ I love the cover page. It's beautiful and I was keeping on admiring it. ✨ I love the characters and the way the author executed it. Each character has its own importance. Karan, Neerav, Akriti, Rashi, I love everyone especially Neerav and they are well executed by author. ✨ Once I started reading. I didn't feel to keep it down. I completed it within a day. ✨ Can be easily read. Even for one who is reading for first time. Thanks to author for that.
Overall I love this book. Infact I will suggest it.
This is a Mystery with Romantic novel. The author tactfully captures the problems faced by the kids with the Comparison and parents expectations. Revolution thought and being unique are banned by the parents. It makes to loose one’s identity. Traditional and principles of life are even tried to enforce by the parents on their children . It shows how destroying one immature’s life and making impacts on his teenage to push suffering and hard lifetime.
Another crisis in this novel is past’s revenge on present. Past’s unknowing fault of Rahul makes a miserable lifetime to Thrisha. This totally ruins the present life and happiness of a protagonist Rahul. No one can recorrect their past fault if it’s committed with knowledge or unknown in present. Past is past always.
The revenge, love, affection, risk assessment , emotion, comparison of parents, betrayal, reunite, forgiveness, traditional, recovering all are played role in this novel through major character.
This novel moves back and forth (past to present) relentlessly to give twist and thrill. In every chapter their is different different twist. Even though the plot revolves back and forth the plot is Cristal clear to understand. It grips me to continue read at late night. Letters and messages are used to reveal their emotions greatly.
"The Secrets We Keep" by @sudeepnagarkar @penguinindia This book is good. I would say if you like a filmy love story with a bit tragic you will love it. But to somewhat you could predict the story if you are a continuous reader of this kind of genre of book.✨ To be honest I was impressed with some lines and small poems in the book. If you think about those you would be able to relate them with you and your past too(okay maybe not all). Some of the lines touched my heart. I even liked the writing style it is simple yet hold's you with the story. If you love to read love stories especially by Indian writers I am sure you won't regret it.✨ What influenced me was the prologue of the story( the way @sudeepnagarkar wrote it will make you carve for the story). So in the end here is the line from the book : "If your past could be erased, would you erase it? Sadly, you have no choice in this matter because I, your past, am invincible. If you think you can escape me, you're already doomed."✨ Now a NOTE: @sudeepnagarkar is such a humble and generous man I was so happy when he replied, to my story. It was such a kind and small gesture. But for a reader that felt incredible. I was so touched. ✨ So, to start my journey of the review I decided to start it with his book of a writer who respects his reader.❤✨
Your present is the reflection of your past deeds.....though you can never change your past but you can always work on your present.....
Can you believe that parents behaviour towards a particular child 🚸 in a particular way can change life 🧬 upside down 😂 of many people who are related to the child.......it says its not the traditions, religions and beliefs that define love 💕, but affection and understanding did.... So true
This book 📚 is about Rahul who is a different child handled in a little difficult way, mostly misunderstood by his parents and always compared with his elder brother Karan....soon leaves his house 🏠 at the age of 14, when he was in love 💕 with Trisha...... without informing her.......
What happens to Rahul? What happens to Trisha? What happened 😂 to there respective families? Did they found Rahul?
You experience a rollercoaster 🎢 journey of emotions, tensions and struggle. The narration of his past fits together to form a complete picture 🖼️ in the present..
Grab this book if you want to know about this 🙂....As each page has a mystery and a thrill which keeps you hooked.....
This is my first encounter with a mysterious book and I am so amazed....... would definitely go for these kind of genres in future...

Review "Never run away from difficulties if the situation is worse for you then you should be strong enough to find good from it." The cover is vibrant and attractive. Title is also perfect for the book
The book and the story is very well presented by the author. The suspense travels till the end of the book. There are a lot of twists and turns which acts as ana amazing icing on the cake.
All the characters Rahul, Neerav, Akriti, Trisha are described well.
The way Rashi fought for her sister is the sole responsibility for every sister, that too in each and every aspect of life.
Neerav, who helps and cooperates his co-officer in every thick and thin of life, every individual should have one friend like him in his/her life.. I love these two characters.

I bought this based on amazon reviews and some decent rating here. It was meh at some points during start but I kept reading. Okay, it was interesting and I waited for the big twist which again became meh.Okay, rashi explains her reasons and it may happen if you're so young, but how can RAN officer be so immature to take revenge on an childhood issue after 20 years and if she is that level psycho how can she change so easily after few lines from Rahul. First of all how can a INA officer thought Akriti might be kidnapped because he left some girl in park when he was 14 .Dumb, and his sidekick Neerav too, to crack jokes in the most serious situations and Rahul laughs at some of those too. It was more like a flop commercial movie with a Hero pretending to be intelligent and his sidekick always cracking jokes, some screenplay to mess and at the end silly climax which changes everything else to meh. Not recommended at all. This is the first book of Sudeep I read and Iam not interested to read any of the rest.

What would you do if your past came knocking at your door? What if your partner has a secret?will you forgive them for hiding that secret? What if The secret they kept can turn your life up side down? The narrative of this book is not regular, everytime you think you can now make out what's gonna happen in the next half, the story will change leaving you stunned. For a change it's not some regular love story, it's beyond that. The main characters are rahul who works with INA and his girlfriend akriti who's a freelancer. They both are madly in love with each other. However it didn't last long, when rahul's past came knocking his door and revealed akriti's secret his world turned upside down. The book will impart you how a irrational decision taken in the past can change your life forever. I really love the plot of the book it will keep you gelled. The story is full of twist and turns. I totally love this book.
I personally felt this is by far the best book written by sudeepnagarkar This is a perfect read for the youth who just don't think before they do anything and as always the writer never fails to make us taste the bitterness, sweetness of friendship, relationship and responsibility. He absolutely kept the readers locked with curiosity untill the end. The thought which he has portrayed is one of major highlight about this book that we never know how past will knock our door and make us reach the starting point of our life and also that whatever wrong we do to self or others it is going to pay us back so think wisely act wisely because you never know what the consequences can be. The characters he has showcased are just awesome from Rahul, Akriti, Trisha ,rashi to Karan, Neerav are all amazing.. I specifically loved Neerav as he is the perfect best friend one can ever have.
This falls under romance with a touch of thriller. The protagonist is a secret agent and he falls in love with a girl (like many stories).
One day all of a sudden his girlfriend goes missing and it’s time for him to use all his so called skills to find her. In this path of finding his girlfriend, he had to reminisce the secrets he has been hiding and running away from. Will he be able to find his girlfriend? Who is this mystery person who kidnapped his girlfriend? What are his secrets?
There is no proper proportion of love, thriller. The pieces are not connected properly, instead you will start feeling a clumsiness. While turning the pages you become so predictive that you can easily come up with how the book ends. Probably this is a book in a very simple language and can be completed in less time. The is a very hurriedly written book and a fast-paced one.
