Understanding MSK shockwave therapy : The radial pressure wave

Rate this book
Shockwave therapy has two devices under its umbrella. Focused Shockwave (FSW) and Radial Pressure Wave (RPW).RPW has been around half the time of FSW and yet is used by 80% more clinicians. But how do you actually ‘drive’ the machine to get optimal results. Many of the devices have pre written protocols to follow, but as we know patients do not come in just one form. Learn how to develop a patient centred protocol for best results. This book looks at a brief history of the devices, talks about the science and scientists to follow as you start your journey into shockwave medicine. The book also looks at the ideas around Shockwave as an addition to your therapeutic business model and some ideas around how best to select the right device for your clinic.Paul also talks about perceptions of shockwave therapy and how social media affects the whole process of patient knowledge and engagement in the services we provide.A personal journey into shockwave and some great practical tips on how to get the best from this incredible modality. The first in a line of ebooks on the subject of Shockwave therapy - written by clinicians, for clinicians with personal insight. This is an easy read, moving away from ‘literature review’ style books so often found in academia.
