A cool hitta
The story had funny moments and several low points. Hitta was too crazy for words. Holly Daye.. her fake parents; I needed to speak to them about that name. Overall, the story was pretty interesting.

Holly x Christopher
First, let me tell you how hard I rolled my eyes at these names in the book. Christopher Seizan Greitins, Holly Daye.
But I don't know if it's me or if the book was just little off. I didn't really enjoy it. I didn't really feel any chemestry between the duo. They got together in the beginning of the story, but it kinda happened too quick IMO. Like the author didn't take me on any journey of attraction. They met a first time, then by the second, they were getting it in, raw. Even the little drama that happened, I felt like it was all over the place. I wanted to like story, but it didn't really grab me. But I did like Holly, though. Christopher who was a "hitta" was also very, "normal". My dawg wore a Santa suit, he's a published author. He wrote CHILDREN'S BOOKS.
I'd give this author another chance, maybe another story of hers will do the trick for me, but I won't discourage you from reading this story, so give it a try.

Oh my goodness!
This book had me laughing from beginning to end. My family was side eying me when I laughed out loud. Those names showed that Ms. Davidson is very creative and definitely has a humorous side. I would love to read more about Seisen and Holly. If anyone wants a well-written, funny, holiday read, this is the ONE!!!

This book was bittersweet and my first time reading this author and I loved the story.
Holly Daye and Christopher.
Chris took care of his mom like a true gentleman.
The character names were perfect for the Holiday season.
If I didn’t laugh throughout this book and then l the ending hit me!

Good read
I enjoyed this story. It was crazy what Holly went through. I liked Chris Seizans, he was crazy but he did what he needed to for Holly, and his family. I think it was a cute and heartwarming ending.

Wow
I really enjoyed this book it's heartfelt, teary eyed, a sweet. You can see the love in each family has for each other. Hopefully there's some kinda of spin-off to show how they do with there mother passing.

When I say a good time was had… baby this thang was delightful. I love when people meet by happenstance and unusual circumstances. AJ had me cackling and skinning and grinning per usual! The element of surprise made me take a step back. The main love interest got me currently wishing for my own hit man for Christmas 😂

This was a good book ! & there was like 2-3 plot twist that I didn’t see coming. I am new to the Urban genre. But I’m loving it here. This had a really good story line.

what a mess!!!!
This was truly a big messy story but cute still. Can you imagine that this actually does happened in real life except that the kidnappers are usually a messed up bunch and they do mistreat the child the whole time. I appreciated how this author still find a way to give this heroine a good childhood even if it was under pretense but still treated her good. Even the money that the real parents were paying they gave it to the girl while in reality they could have hold on to it and spent it themselves which would have been the reason they did what they did… it seems they must have had other reason to do such thing.
Anyways, the real family was cute, and for once I was glad it was a short story because I wouldn’t have been able to read more than that.

December 21, 2022So I’m not going to rate this book because honestly, I don’t know what to rate it. It made me laugh out loud multiple times and I loved Seizans. Holly got on my nerves the entire time. I almost DNF’d because she was so dramatic and irrational, half the time for no reason. And the writing when she would go off on her lil rants was just…I just wasn’t a fan. The premise of the story was great though so I did really enjoy that. I didn’t really get any chemistry from Seizans and Holly so I wasn’t all that invested in their relationship. And the name of the characters (Holly Daye, Seizans Grietens, Holy, Knight) a bit much. Christmas story names I guess?
Overall, I’d give this author another go, but I wouldn’t pick this one up again.

funny and wild
I was laughing like a crazy person at the beginning of most of this book. The banter, the jokes, the references, all of it was hilarious. I’m not sure about the subplot, maybe I was reading to fast. Or maybe it was the way it was written it was both a little confusing and a little extra. But what I liked most was how Chris was an asshole without being and actually bad person. This is proof you can have a male character not be a cinnamon roll but still make him likable.

This Christmas book is lit. I’m hoping to read more about them cause it’s no way it’s gonna end like that. My girl felt something off about the one she thought was her parents and she didn’t flinch when they met their demise. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Glad that you decided to give us a book again ! Poor Holly i felt bad for her to find out your entire life is a whole lie. I'm glad that she met Chris and he was just what she needed. Holly and Chris relationship started off quickly but it worked for them. I'm glad that Holly did reunite with her real family. Great read!

When I see hitta in the title, I kinda know what I'm in for, but this was so different than that! I was soooo not ready for all the turn of events going on in this read! Like for real? However, I did love Holly and Chris together. Although their relationship took off fast, they both knew what they wanted, and were committed to making it work.

Love at first sight
Holly Daye and Seizan Greitins interesting play on the names. When they net you could feel the chemistry through the pages. At event for kids they would meet again and act on it. It lead to a quick romance and Holly finding out more than she bargained for. Family is not always what it seems its what you feel in your heart. Kari and Seizan's prove that to her.

I should have known by the names of the characters that I wouldn’t like this book. I feel like it had so much potential but just lacked…also the story would go to 3rd person then back to 1st person or would change from his point if you to hers then back…this story just felt rushed

The characters names were so very unique!
Chris really loved his family and especially his mother. He was so caring with his ailing mother. In come Holly who didn’t know that her entire life was enthralled in lies.
This book had some humor. Holly went thru some soul searching and Chris was right by her side.

SO GOOD
OMG this was such a great story. I had tears in my eyes so many times but they were because of the real life situations in this book. I tip my hat to the author. I love all of her work and this was a definitely a page turner.

This was good!
I really like Chris for Holly, he didn't give up on them no matter how dramatic she would be. I didn't like how Holly would always assume something, instead of her listening she would always just think what she thought was correct.

I loved this read
The author did an amazing job with these characters I’m hoping she visits them again. I was not completely expecting the reveal but I knew it was possible. I highly recommend to a friend the vibe was such a feel good book with the right amount of secrets

It's the layers for me.
This quick read story had so many layers (that made sense) and lessons of life that gave the story a warm hug feel. Add in the cute holiday named and the story was very enjoyable for me.
