I 'stole' this from my grandfather's library decades ago, and I have to go back and re-read it every few years to keep my Lifemanship skills fresh. Mr. Potter writes for the modern age perhaps even more than for his own mid-century times: British-style snark has blossomed rather than faded over the intervening years.

I've always found this compendium hilarious, but of course your mileage may vary!

Probably the driest, funniest book I have ever read.
