Sol LeWitt is my poster child for the Emperor's New Clothes. This is 'conceptual art' for people born w/o brains. Tell people that it's conceptual enuf & they'll parrot the opinion regardless of how obviously thoughtless & shallow the work is.
This is a bk of fotos of a cock fight. At the end, a cat approaches the 2 cocks who're probably too engrossed in fighting to notice that they're being stalked by a predator. Big Fucking Deal. & this is published by a major art publisher in full color. What a waste.
Such a work can be made in a half-hr or so. It's barely a notch above any idiot's tourist fotos except that LeWitt can probably afford a good camera. Did he even take the pictures? Who cares?
