This 26 th book in the FBI series was great Savich, and Sherlock are at it again. Sherlock is adding personal protection for a twelve year old child prodigy, who has had several attempts in her life. She is set to play at the Kennedy Center for the Arts, the Chopin series. While Savich is called in to help a young prosecutor, trying to find the killers of her parents when she was only twelve. They tried to kill her too, but she escaped into a cave, and was found by a police detective. She had been adopted by her uncle, and moved to Australia. This book really is about the mob. Several bosses are involved, two are trying to help and two are in the midst of still trying to kill others who hold their secrets, and one of them is the grandfather of the child prodigy. Agent Griffen Hammersmith is part of the back up to protect the assistant prosecutor, Kiera who is determined to get all the dirt on who she believes are the killers of her parents. Savich is called away due to Sherlock, and Mason’s daughter Molly going missing. It is a race to find who has taken Sherlock, and if all this is planned by two mob bosses, who made a pact to end a war six years ago. Well written book, that I really enjoyed. I love the author, and the series. The ending brought all the criminals to an end one way, or the other. Plus there was an Epilogue which I always enjoy. It was suspenseful, and detail oriented, plus complex. You really had to pay close attention since so many people were involved, from so many directions. This could be read as a stand alone book, but since I knew the main characters from so many books, In the past I knew how talented, or determined the characters were. 5 stars. Note. Lots of violence.
