After the capture and daring rescue of her teammate – bullets flying - Diana Sheen is focusing on a new mission. Push back the cult emerging around Rhazdon artifacts.
Some Oriceran evil just can’t stay dead.
The legacy of the half-Atlantean’s magic is a dark and ancient magic that must be collected and hidden away forever – from everyone.
Kevin Serrano has the same idea with a twist. He wants to shepherd the powerful artifacts while gunning for Diana and her team. Talk about twisted.
Even the Army wants the artifacts to create magical super-soldiers. Leira Berens beat that idea back once before. Can Diana and her crew do the same?
The race is on. Will another troll make all the difference?
Can Diana and her team emerge from the scrum on top? Only one way to find out.
For action, magic, snarky banter, martial arts, mystical creatures, and high intrigue, join Diana, Rath, and the rest on their new adventure!
I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then.
I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.
My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.
Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

Yet another awesome chapter in this amazing series!
Diana and her Team have managed to rescue Bryant, but their fight to retrieve as many of the Rhazdon Artifacts, that seem to be just about everywhere, is going quite slowly.
Not only do they have Kevin Serrano on their backs at every turn, taking away each of their base camps, no sooner than they'd been set up, but they also have the people wearing the artifacts, actually getting stronger, this evening harder to fight, veitjout killing.
Diana is determined to keep to the No Kill order - unless it's a case of killing or doe themselves as, despite being branded as terrorists and traitors, Diana KNOWS that her team are the good guys!
As far as Serrano is concerned, though, he's actually getting a taste of his own medicine for once, between the Oversight Committee, and an unexpected ploy by the Army, who seems determined to take control of every artifact he's managed to take himself, or from Diana and her team, and so Serrano finds that he's NOT the top of the pile, as he'd thought!
As usual, this book ended on a spectacular cliffhanger - which makes me SO glad that I have the complete series to read, rather than having to wait for the next book to be published, before I can go on to read it! Lol
I guess it was actually a good thing, that I didn't discover the LMBPN publishing company, until it had been releasing its wonderful books, for a couple of years - at least it means I'm able to read complete series, as I build up others as they're published! Lol
Mind you, it's got to the point where my daughter is accusing me of being an eBook Hoarder!
I can't say that she's wrong, as there are just SO many great authors within this Company, alone, for me to want to read their stuff!
Anyhoo, to get back to this review, I've been left with this excellent cliffhanger, which means that, the minute I finish this review, I'll be loading up book five: "Rogue Agents on the Hunt", to find out what'll happen next.
So, once I've done that, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
Ok… let’s just put this out there right now… Martha Carr and Michael Anderle are a couple of jerks. Not only are they sadists but now they are teaching TR Cameron to be just like them.
I can seriously hear the two of them chuckling like evil mad scientists in a bad Bugs Bunny cartoon as they read over TR Cameron’s ending to this book. I can see the glee in their eyes as they imagine the horrified looks in their readers’ faces as they realize they’ve been left hanging once more.
Well played, guys… well played.
To any potential readers of this series, all I can tell you is these folks are masters of their art and you’re gonna love it, despite the pain you’ll experience from any future cliffhangers. So pick it up, lean back and prepare to ENJOY!
I enjoyed this book very much. Finally Diana and the crew are fighting back. I gave this book a five even though it ends on a cliffhanger and I do not, let me rephrase that or should I say rephrase that I hate cliffhangers. I believe stories should stand on their own. The book was very enjoyable though very fast paced plenty of action. The authors can’t write fast enough to suit me, eagerly awaiting the next one.
Come on! Jumping from a pickup truck bed to the top, the top, of a semi truck going 81 mph. Yeah right. Your readers give you licence to fib, it is fantasy. But it has to be reasonable. Within the realm that does not defy completely physics. Do not disrespect your readers by writing asinine stupid stuff.
Another slam dunk in Diana's story. T R Cameron writes such well crafted characters that you either love them or hate them. An excellent book and I'm waiting with impatiently for release of the next one.
At least 3 levels of "enemies" pursue the rogue agents. The so called oversight committee, an Army group and Sarenno group. Helpfully, the groups tend to work against each other.
Diana and her team continue to fight, but who ate they fighting against??? Great storyline, surprise ending. What's happening??? Keep up the good writing... Continuing on to book 5.
Lots of fun, along with the challenging new situations, that made the game the characters are involved in frustrating and confusing at times. A quick moving story that is completely unique!
Watching their back and checking out for voodoo and artifact signs is the name of this game. Getting intelle on the man actually running this whole scenario, and staying safe.
