Hidden Cure #8

Alpha Cure

Rate this book
Maia

Seth is mine now, forever.

How on earth did I get so lucky to have him as my fated mate?

Our perfect moment can’t last forever, though.

The lupercus think they got away, but thanks to Priestess Aurelia, we’ve narrowed down their location.

How was I supposed to know that we were lured into a trap, or that my life could be taken by the same cure that used to live within me?

Is this the end?

Seth

Waking up with Maia in my arms is everything.

We’ve claimed one another, and completed our bond, but a war is coming.

With our little pack, though, we can take on anything. Maybe even stop the war before it begins.

This isn’t the end. If I have my way, Maia will be the alpha of the Shaw pack, and I will bow at her feet.

Wow, I'm so sad this series has come to an end, as I've loved it so much.

There's so many opportunities for spinoff stories from these books and I can't wait to hear what is coming up in the future from Abigail.

Highly recommended series and author! You won't be disappointed reading these.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.

This is book eight and the finale of the Hidden Cure series and sees Seth and Maia now fully bonded as fated mates. She gets embarrassed the morning after, when James tells her the soundproofing spell has now ended and everyone can hear them! The Lupercus have gotten away with the Hidden Cure, after taking nearly all of Maia’s blood and leaving her for dead. Now that she has recovered with the help of a transfusion from Seth, her wolf could finally make an appearance. The group of Seth, Maia, her best friend and witch protector Bree, Vampire James, wolves Sasha and Horas, as well as faeries Qadira and Prince Wilk, are all at the home of Priestess Aurelia, hoping she can help them to find the cure and defeat the Lupercus once and for all. Unfortunately, their enemy also has a powerful witch on their side and she sees them coming, as Aurelia opens a portal directly to a spot a few miles away from their camp. They end up walking straight into a trap and all have to start fighting for their lives. Many of them surround Maia, to protect her as usual, but her alpha wolf is much stronger now and she is able to shift and fight alongside Seth.
Seth wants to have Maia at his side forever, even giving up the position of alpha heir of the Shaw pack to her, something never given to a female before, such is his love and belief in her. She is an alpha wolf and they are now bonded and fated to be together, but how long that might be when they are faced against a much larger army of Lupercus, is doubtful. When Maia is injected with the cure, it seems she will be taken from him again, this time permanently. Seth wants to stop any possible war between their kinds, before it has a chance to escalate, especially with the Hidden Cure no longer in the Shaw wolf pack’s hands. Any shifter could be in mortal danger and time is running out. They may have only had one night together to savour their bond and their love for one another, but it may be all they get. The series comes to its conclusion with a number of allies coming forth to help them in their fight and also to witness the passing over of the alpha heir title. A fitting end to the series, now I hope all the stories will be combined into one book, for many more to enjoy. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

I picked up my book full of anticipation for the final chapter of the adventure and loved it when the fight scene arrived. I was very disappointed, however, that after a huge build up about the cure, it ended so flat. The baddies were all killed, they found out where the blood was and destroyed it all within a few paragraphs? The build up was great but the ending was over so quickly. I did enjoy the fact that Wilk and Qadira and James and Bree all got together and were happy.

The eighth part and what an end to this series. But would have liked a little further progress in the future.
During the attack of The Lupercus, Maia is again injected with the deadly Shifters Cure and loses contact with Seth. How does this end and will they all survive?
I really enjoyed this whole series and highly recommend it. Read and enjoy and you will know how it ends.

Good story

Told from both MC POV. A good storyline with well developed likable characters. I enjoyed the action throughout even though the concluding part was over very quickly like the author just got bored and didn't know how to finish it. With that said I enjoyed reading all the short reads making up the series. I'm not sure why these short parts are separate they need to be bound as one complete book then maybe more people would buy it. Recommended read

Alpha Cure (Hidden Cure Part 8) by Abigail Grant is the final installment of the series that I received through bookfunnel. I recommend this Paranormal shifter series. This, and the rest of the series, is available on Amazon

Very repetitive for a very short read, but a decent read overall. Seems to be part of a novel that's broken up into 20-30 page excerpts.
