This was definitely stronger than the first book, because it starts to explore why people would want to be turned into vampires in the first place, especially since a turned vampire can only live five years. The two women Hayan and Euntae meet both were turned because of feeling powerless - a policewoman constantly passed over for promotion because of her gender and a high school girl who was bullied. They feel like they have no other option for moving forward, and whether Lim intends it or not, that says a lot about society and its treatment of women.

liked this volume a little bit less than volume 1, tho it gets the same rating. the story plot wise did not go in the direction I thought/wanted it to go in, but that's okay. I've adjusted my mindset so now I'm onboard with the plot and everything 🙂

my heart got very involved with them to the point of just wanting to enter the comic and hug them , follow adrenaline, thirst for revenge, self-discovery, painful truths, driven by love and pain from their pasts . the development of both protagonists and the way to solve difficult situations by trusting each other .I just want to know how it ends

LITERALLY PLOT LINE: masterpiece. i'm usually not really into the whole idea of action type of webtoons but DAMN was i binging this till 3am for the pass 3 days

Pre deset godina pojavili su se krvožedni vampiri. Svakodnevni život se promenio preko noći. Ustanovljen je policijski čas. Ljudi ne smeju da izlaze noću jer su tad moći vampira najjače. Ljudi žive u strahu već čitavu deceniju. Glavna junakinja ovog stripa je Hajan, devojka koja je upravo pošla na fakultet. Ona je siroče. Živi sa sveštenikom Majklom i još dvoje dece, siročadi kao što je i ona. Njeni brat i sestra su mnogo mlađi od nje, oni idu u osnovnu školu. Međutim, Hajan nije čovek. Ona je vampir. I to ne bilo kakav vampir - ona je čistokrvna. Jedino što Hajan želi je da se svet vrati na staro. Da ljudi više ne žive u strahu. Da se povrati ravnoteža. Međutim, neko želi njenu moć. Sveštenik Majkl krije mnoge tajne kako bi spasao Hajanin život. Kada stvari krenu po zlu i kada joj vampiri unište život, Hajan želi osvetu. Hajan želi da zna zašto je jure. U svom pohodu nije sama. Ona se udružuje sa urnebesnim detektivom Hvangom, policijskom zvezdom u usponu. Njih dvoje otkrivaju strašnu tajnu - vampiri su duboko zašli u društvo i kontrolišu sve. Na čelu njihove kriminalne organizacije sedi misteriozni vampir neobičnih moći koji je sebe prozvao Bogom. On zapoveda ogromnom armijom preko šestorice svojih najodanijih slugu - Anđela Smrti. Ali koji je tačno njegov cilj? Osveta prerasta u nešto mnogo više - bitku za opstanak čovečanstva. Ko je tačno taj Bog? I šta on želi od Hajan? Odgovori leže u Hajaninoj prošlosti, prošlosti koje se ona sama ne seća. Šta se tačno desilo pre deset godina? I kako to da je Hajan ostala sasvim sama?
Odličan akcioni strip. Priča je zaista veoma dobro osmišljena sa brojnim neočekivanim obrtima. Lik glavnog negativca je fenomenalan! Fino je iznijansiran, nije jednostavno crn 😍 Kraj je veoma zadovoljavajući. Crtež je sjajan, scene borbi su detaljno prikazane. Plus, u ovom stripu imamo jedan snažan i jak ženski lik koji se ne suočava samo sa onima koji žele njenu smrt, već i sa svojim sopstvenim nesigurnostima i strahovima. Iz svake borbe, Hajan izlazi jača. To mi se dopalo. Obično takvi jaki ženski likovi u nekom trenutku pokleknu pa treba da ih vade muški likovi. Ovde to nije slučaj. Detektiv Hvang je tu da je sasluša i da joj pomogne kao pravi prijatelj, a ne da preuzme njenu ulogu 🙃

3.5 stars. This one was better paced than the first volume. We spent more time on each plotline and with our main characters. This volume is broken into two core storylines. Unfortunately, the first storyline was not well-done. Few people's actions made sense, the dialogue was silly as it communicated motivations and reveals that came out of nowhere. The action was still entertaining, and I liked watching Hayan and Euntae work together. The second plot, though, was extremely well done. We look at why vulnerable people would choose to become a vampire and how the angels of death are preying on them. It means Hayan has to be more thoughtful about how she protects the victims while addressing the problem. And we have a new power Hayan has to face, meaning she can't just run into the situation with her fists flying. I'm excited for the next volume.

3.5 Fun schlocky action continues with a lot more worldbuilding about the vampires. The beginning with the vampire club was fun. The deal with the vampire threat in the cop force was interesting. Both had an issue though where Hayan is clearly more powerful than her enemy so it's a struggle to give reasons why it's not just immediately over so she holds back or something and it causes things to be dragged out only for the (not) shocking revelation that she actually could beat them. The start of the next arc which is the finale of this volume fixes that a bit with the next Angel's power of hypnosis (hinting that maybe each Angel has a different aspect of vampire mythology like shapeshifting, hypnosis, and I guess looking hot or something for the first one).
I do think this does the “Korean hotbed of corruption” manhwa deal really well with its plot. Korea's manhwas are unafraid to tackle corruption partially due to their issues with it iirc. But its heavy-handedness works a bit more here due to the secret vampires running stuff so the manhwa can get away a lot more with manhwa's obsession with corruption in a way that is fitting for the story.

En este volumen la seguimos a Hayan con toda la adrenalina y sed de venganza que tiene. En el primer volumen sucede algo que la deja con mucho odio y no va a parar hasta terminar su misión. Ella junto a Euntae, un detective (personaje de tapa), mantendrán la cabeza en alto para resolver cada una de las situaciones que se les aparecen.
¿Será que tendremos más historia del detective? Tengo mis sospechas sobre algunas cosas, pero quiero ver si se desarrollará de esa forma.
Todo se está volviendo cada vez más oscuro y de a poco hay información que va siendo revelada.
Sigo amando todo ese webtoon.

This series is so action packed and fun to read! I had a great time and the story line is so engaging. I binge read this in one day and I can't wait to get my hands on the next volume! The only reason this isn't a five star is because the first volume brought out emotion in me, where this one didn't, even though it was also very good (both plot wise, character wise, and art wise). I fully recommended this series!!

The scene transitions were off in some parts, I got confused on the flashbacks and the chapter to chapter transitions. The plot seems to be pretty much rinse and repeat now too. Find one big bad and then move on to the next until they get to the biggest bad and defeat him. I might continue this later on as I’m still interested to know more about the fmc past and the history of lore of the pure blood vampires.

Puedo darle seis estrellas? Aunque se me haga un poco repetitivo que digan todo el tiempo lo poderosa que es Hayan, amo todo en esta historia.

Acá conocemos a otros de los jefes de los vampiros, uno que puede hipnotizar a las personas y a los vampiros haciéndose así con el control de todo un colegio.

Quiero saber más del detective, espero que haya más interacción entre ellos.
