Delta James is a USA Today bestselling author of steamy romantic suspense and paranormal romance. Known for her fast-paced, heart-racing, panty-melting stories, Delta writes fierce heroines, dominant heroes, dangerous secrets, and irresistible fated mates. From alpha shifters prowling the wild to powerful billionaires ruling the boardroom, her books deliver heat, suspense, and unforgettable chemistry.

Delta never planned to write romance. In fact, she launched her author career in 2018 after deciding her second act in life needed a little more passion… and possibly a little more bite. Since then, she’s published dozens of addictive romances for readers who love their happily-ever-afters with plenty of steam and danger.

She lives in Florida with her pack of loyal basset hounds (who firmly believe they run the household), and when she’s not writing steamy scenes or plotting revenge for her latest heroine, she can usually be found riding horses, walking the beach, or chasing her next adventure on the river.

Loved this book - the backstories and the links with the previous books make this series a brilliant read. If you enjoy the supernatural, romance, love and a side of kinky then this series is just perfect.

Another cracking instalment

This series just caries on being a great read. COULD be read stand alone but does work better with the previous books due to references that would need explaining otherwise. I loved the characters in this one.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The history of Spenser and the others is very interesting. Spenser and Saoirse are soul mates who connect and fall in love. However there is a greater purpose in this book in five young girls who were trapped in the Savoy by an evil doctor. The reason behind their murders is equally horrible. It takes everyone to rescue their souls and punish the doctor. I really liked the historical references in the book.

Contract

Once again Ms. James has given us a story that will grab your attention and not let go. "Contract" is a mixture of suspense, romance, magic, history, BDSM and the supernatural. Somehow the mixture works. Saoirse and Felix...I agree that Spence suits him better...are a great couple.

Who knew that the Head Concierge of the Savoy (Felix Spenser) had all the hidden depths which are showcased in this 4th story of the Masters of the Savoy series? Saoirse's passion and her own secrets are well matched by his outward politesse and inner control.

THE IRISH WITCH AND THE SAVOY CONCIERGE

Ms. Delta James has penned a unique and page-turning series of paranormal events and characters that intersect with historical events. The story will have people from the previous books, but this one will mainly focus on Saoirse Madigan, an Irish witch, and Felix Spenser, the head concierge of the Savoy. The story is the fourth in the series, and while it could be read as a stand-alone, it would be better understood by reading the first three books in the series.

Saoirse has been in London, where she felt that she was needed, and she was, helping free Anne Boelyn from her state of limbo at the Tower of London. During her time in London, she stays at the Savoy, where she has become friends with Felix, and others that either work or live at the Savoy. There is a flirtation between Saoirse and Felix, who she would prefer to call Spense, for some time, but in this story, they will take things from friends to lovers. Spense is dominant, and while Saorise isn’t naïve to a dominant-submissive relationship, she had a very negative experience with her ex-husband. Her complete trust in Spense will turn her feelings around about a D/s relationship.

Saoirse: I’m not your sub or romantic partner.
Spense: Not at the moment, but the future is rarely static.

The story’s plot will revolve around the Savoy ghost, a young girl wearing a yellow dress that would fit the Victorian era. Saoirse has encountered the ghost since she was a young child, but now she will speak to Saoirse with a riddle.

“They did not search for those who died;
The chapel bell did not knell;
When the Irish witch can answer why,
Then our spirits will arise from Hell
And with the King of Kings we will abide.”

The story will have the four couples working on the history and trying to determine who the little girl is, how she died, why she is trapped on Earth, and how Saoirse can free her. But it turns out; it isn’t one little girl; it is five, and evil surrounds their demise.

The story is also about the newly formed relationship between Spense and Saoirse, where she is learning that not all men are like her ex. Spense is dominant but loving, showing her D/s isn’t about him, but them. Saoirse knows that Spense, Gabe, and Roark all came from the pages of Sage’s well-known novels, but then Anne was a Queen. The relationships between the four couples are strong, and they each have faced some form of terror. Saoirse will be a catalyst for helping innocent souls find their peace in the Light. Can she use her magick and powers for good and help banish evil?

Spense: Perhaps I’m the man who came through the Veil to protect you so you could work your magick.
Saoirse: I think you’re right about your fate. I think you came through the Veil to protect me. I’m awfully glad I am your destiny.

“She’d been waiting her whole life for him to step out of a manuscript and become her perfect lover.”

The story has matters of life and death due to paranormal entities, a strict, take control Dominant, some punishments, and sizzling hot explicit sex scenes. It does not end on a cliffhanger but gives the reader a satisfying conclusion. And it won’t be the end in this series; there are at least two more books.

“Contract” is part of the ‘Masters of the Savoy’ series by Delta James. It’s a paranormal/supernatural mystery. This is a book best read in its place as the 4th of the series. If you read it completely on its own, I think it would be enjoyable, but you won’t get as much out of the story as you would otherwise.

Saoirse Madigan, an Irish witch and natural healer and Felix Spenser (who she calls Spense), the head concierge of the Savoy Hotel, are the main characters in this story. Whenever Saoirse visits London she stays at the Savoy. She has become friends with Spence and others who either work or live there. Saoirse and Spense have privately been aware of the attraction they each have for the other, but neither has acted on it. Until now, that is. As Saoirse tries to unravel the mystery surrounding the ghost of a young child who haunts the Savoy, the connection between her and Spense becomes hotter and hotter. Making the situation even more complicated, Spense is a dominant, but Saorise is certain that she doesn’t want to be in a Dominant/submissive relationship.

By the time this fast-paced story comes to an end, the innocent victims of a series of grievous injustices have been put to rest, and Saoirse has found happiness with Spense. Characters and some secondary characters from previous books in this series have important roles in this story. The author does a wonderful job mixing true historical facts with fiction, reality with fantasy, in ways that make it all feel possible. After the end of this story we get a glimpse of another series coming, featuring two of the characters from this series. It sounds incredible, and I’m already looking forward to it so much!

Another foray into the supernatural with a dark secret 😍

Saoirse and Felix aka Spence (as lovingly nicknamed by his favorite witch😍) have been dancing around each other right from when they had first laid eyes on each other.

When Saoirse is caught (so to speak😁) in a lie trying to help her friends and keep what they were doing from their respective partners, Spence takes it on himself to discipline her. But this discipline is not the punishment type but the pleasure involved type where a Dom and his submissive play.

Although they aren't together, Spence has had enough and this starts their acceptance of their attraction to each other.

But the powerful witch stays in Ireland where her home is and Saoirse has always been there but feelings towards Spence have her conflicted.

Also, there's a girl in yellow dress with sad eyes that comes and goes when she's in an elevator. Saoirse is boggled by the mystery of the ghost of the little girl.

Until the ghost girl herself tells that she is trapped and only Saoirse can help them. Yes, them as it seems there are others too.

Soon Saoirse enlists the help of Roark and Sage and along with Spence starts investigating as to how and why this girls might be connected to savoy and why they are trapped.

Rachel and Holmes as also Anne and Watson are on their honeymoon but soon come along to help their friends solve this mystery and help rescue the trapped girl's souls.

AHH.. This one was another delicious, supernatural mystery with that trademark twist of this author. I love so much all of the characters from each book in this series and I devour them fast enough every time. What a freaking amazing mystery and thrill filled ride. Loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This was a very enjoyable read, great addition to series which I thoroughly enjoyed
This was simply wonderful read and a splendid addition to the previous books which I assure you that once that you have read it you will see what a wonderful addition it is to the series,
This book is interesting in the fact that it is a Ghost Story influence and after the wedding of Rachael and Anne and Gabe. The wedding bookings have been picking up again and it seems strange that the little girl Saroise has appeared on several separate occasions whilst they have been in the lift and riding to separate floors.
She and Felix have started looking in to the little girl believing that she is a ghost and that whatever happened may have been at the hotel, they have very grateful assistance from Sage and Roark of the Savoy hotel.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and loved learning about the additional historical snippets associated to the hotel and the haunting, I am sure that other readers will be as intrigued.
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Contract is the story of Saoirse, the Irish witch, and Felix Spencer (aka "Spence"), the Savoy head concierge.
Following a bad marriage, Saoirse is very reluctant to try and enter a relationship with a dominant man.
She and her friends take on a new mission to help discover what happened to the young girl whose spirit she's been seeing since she was a young girl herself. To accomplish their mission they will need to fight a dangerous evil spirit. Spence knows Saoirse is the one for him since they first met. Known as "The gentleman Dom" he lets her come to terms slowly with the fact that they are meant to be. He is still a dominant guy and Saoirse finds the hard way she shouldn't cross him, but he is very gentle with her, which I loved.
This story is bittersweet because we learn that the gang will soon part ways as Ann and Watson are planning to move to the US (but a spinoff series will come as a result of that!) it's a good thing we still have two more books in the series before it ends.

I love this series! The supernatural focus of the stories is very well done. I loved how the author can weaves some historical facts into a fictional story. It makes for a very good read. This book was no different. We first meet Spense (Felix) and Saoirse in the previous books in this series. It was just a matter of time before they got their own "Happy Ever After" story. Their story is a hot and steamy one as they finally give into their mutual attraction while at the same story fighting another supernatural battle. I loved how well the author wove historical fact with the supernatural storyline. The bonus to this story is that all the characters from the previous books in this series become part of each new story told and is always pleasure read about them in each book. While each story is very unique and can be read alone, I think it will be much more enjoyable to have read the earlier books.

I received a copy of this book from BookFunnel in exchange for my review.

This is the fourth book in the Masters of the Savoy series. As always, this is a brilliant addition to the series. Saoirse is a red headed Irish witch who fits in very well with the other ladies. she is brilliant and fiercely independent. She has been seeing a ghost of a little girl all her life and when she sees her again at the Savoy, she is determined to help her. She wants Spense's (Felix) help researching what went on then so that they can figure out how to help release the ghosts. I love the give and take between the couples and how protective the men are of the women (even though it irks me as well, lol) This author writes such strong, nuanced characters that you can't help them becoming your new best friends. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and the new spin off that is introduced at the end.

I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Once again, Ms. James has made unbelievable characters with all of
their emotional turmoil believable while surrounding them in mystery,
suspense, danger, and romance. What a ride this paranormal story
was with it's historical theme sprinkled throughout. You need to
concentrate to keep up with the complexity of the characters on their
journey to free innocent spirits trapped by a malevolent evil presence.
A battle of good verses evil.

This is Saoirse and Felix’s ( Spense) story set in the Savoy Hotel. It also
includes all of the characters from the previous books. Despite her best
efforts, Saoirse has fallen in love with a dominant man. A previous bad
marriage left her shaken, but Spense showered her in pleasure. Saoirse
is an Irish whitch and visions of a young girl have plagued her for year's.
Can her magic free the young girls so they can ascend to a better place?

This was a genuinely fascinating read that stretched my imagination to
it's limits. It has so many twists and turns that you feel like you are on
a roller coaster that never stops. I look forward to the next book in this
series.

Title: Contract
Author: Delta James
Format: ebook
Genre: Romance, suspense, paranormal, andan, D/s
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: Masters of the Savoy book 4
POV: Saoirse/Felix aka Spense(r)
Steam Level: steamy
4/5

I enjoyed Contract but not as much as previous books in this series. On Contract Delta James is both bringing this series to a close with (as it appears) one book left, moving the couples forward in their futures s with a spin-off series noted in the First Look section after the story’s completion. I also liked how this series quietly and steadily came together in order to take on the enemy in this book. However you don’t have to read the other books to follow but it majes this book even better having read the previous books.

Saoirse Madigan was a visitor to the Savoy in London since her best friend from college, Rachel, had moved to the city. Saoirse was a powerful witch and had seen an apparition of a little girl who was around 10-11 for years, starting when she was a child. She called the ghost Victoria. She appeared in the Savoy elevator, reciting a ditty saying that she and four others needed her help to go to heaven...so she, Rachel, their author friend Sage and Anne decide to look into the ghost of the Savoy along with concierge Spense who is enamored with the beautiful witch, Roarke who is Sage's husband, Gabe who is engaged to Anne, and Michael who is Rachel's fiancé assisting...but how can they find where the girls are buried after all this time??? You will need to read this enchanting tale to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Saoirse and Felix have been in the other books in this series and now it’s finally their time after circling around each other for a while. I really enjoyed this book and I love that all the women in this series are such strong characters. I like that although Saoirse is a very powerful witch Delta James has written her in a way that she really needs Felix, or Spence as she renames him, but the fact that she needs him in no way diminishes her strength. Also the reverse is true and Spence needs her. This is one of the things that I like most about her writing because she has characters that need and compliment each other. I love reading D/s stories and I haven’t read one that Ms. James has written that I didn’t enjoy reading. I recommend this book and this series highly.

This is the 4th book in the Masters of the Savoy Series and what an addition it is! This is Saoirse and Felix’s ( Spense) story set in the Savoy Hotel. It also includes all of the characters from the previous books. These two have danced around each other for ages, she accepts that he has materialised from the pages of a book. But when it comes to romance, we’ll that was a no go area! Having said that and despite her best efforts, she has fallen in love with a dominant man. Saoirse is an Irish witch and has had visions of a young girl in a yellow dress for year's but has never spoken to her! Until now! Can these two with the help of their friends, find the answer to this mystery? Why are the children’s souls still bound to earth and at the Savoy? Can her magic free the young girls so they can ascend to a better place? All will be revealed in this amazing book!

Saoirse, the witch and Felix Spencer the head concierge of the Savoy are the main characters of this story. There are some ghosts still lingering in the Savoy and one has appeared to Saoirse even when she was young in Ireland. A little girl that she named Victoria because of her dress. The story of the little girl and her other 4 companions is sad and scary, but the friends of Spence and Saoirse will help them solve the mystery of the young girls' deaths. Saoirse and Spence are also discovering that they have a personal attraction to each other, Spence knows that she's his fated mate and will do everything he can to prove it to Saoirse and show her he can be relied on to love her and keep her safe, he's also showing her how he cares for her as he shows her what a bit of kink can do for a good relationship. This has a HEA but there's more to come with the Masters of the Savoy book 5!

This was an phenomenal story! I have loved getting to know this group of characters from the beginning with Advance and seeing them find love. I always look forward to reading anything by Delta James. I loved seeing Saoirse and Spense/Felix get together. They have been dancing around each other for several stories now and I was thrilled to see their story. I am going to be sad when this series ends because all the characters are so amazing.

Saoirse is in London for a wedding when she sees the ghost of a little girl again. She has seen this ghost since she was a little girl. This time though the ghost communicates with her. Saoirse is determined to help her move on in the spirit world. Felix is the Head Concierge at The Savoy and is known as the Gentleman Dom at Baker's Street. He finally makes a move on the attraction between Saoirse and him. Saoirse renames him as Spense because it fits him more. She asks him and the others for help. They dive into a mystery from the Victorian era. Will they be able to help the ghost out and discover the mystery of her death?

Saoirse Madigan, a powerful Irish witch is visited at the Savoy by the ghost of a little girl dressed in yellow Victorian dress. The little girl is a well known to have haunted the Savoy for many years. The little girl gives Saoirse a riddle that, if solved, will send her and four other young girls to the Light.
Spence, the head concierge at the Savoy, has been attracted to the Irish witch for some time. However, Saoirse has been avoiding Spence’s attention. Having been burned in her last relationship she is not interested. Unfortunately for her, Spence insists on helping her solve the mystery of the haunted Savoy. Sparks fly. Spence is convinced that Saoirse needs (not necessarily wants) is a loving and supportive Dom to take her in hand and protect her.
The book’s exciting plot is the perfect example of a paranormal mystery. The progression of a romantic, sexual relationship between Saoirse and Spence is an added bonus.

I can only speak for myself when I say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The magic, the mystery, the supernatural or paranormal, and the bits of history all woven together to stimulate the imagination, and capture this reader's full attention.

I was also glad when Spense was renamed. It truly was more fitting. Spense and Saoirse (I wish I knew how to pronounce her name) were quite the pair. They had great chemistry and I liked their playfulness. They were equally as witty as the other couples in the series.

Victoria had been part of the very fist book in the series, and her role expanded. It was awful, and dark, and strange, and ultimately sweet all rolled together. I really wasn't expecting the part Anne Boleyn played in this story. I also wasn't expecting Gabe and Anne's revelation, but I am looking forward to it.

I don't feel like these books end in a fairy tale HEA, I think they end in more of a Happy Resolution. Each couple's HEA seems to permeate the entire book.

Saoirse Madigan and Felix Spencer have been dancing around each other, both interested in the other. Saoirse's concern is that she is not interested in the lifestyle of BDSM, and Spense is a Dom, and a training Dom at that. He thinks she needs a Dom. When she finally indicates she is curious about a relationship between them, Spense is all in. As their relationship develops, he does his best to keep her safe, even as she fights to help the ghost of a little girl.
This is another incredible book in this series. The master storyteller ties history, the supernatural, romance, and modern day London into one story, with an overarching story line running through the series. Like I said, incredible. Five out of five stars, this is 100% worth the one click.

The Riddle for the Witch..

The thrill and magic continues with this series and I finally get to read Saroise and Felix/Spenser’s story after the teasing hints from the other books, I was super excited to read their story…
After visiting her friends at the Savoy, for a wedding, Saroise is visited by a ghostly little girl that Saroise has seen for years but this time Saroise is given a riddle to solve…
With the help and steamy protectiveness of Spenser and the other couples..they battle a dark and evil Dr to solve the riddle…
I’ve loved all the hints of history that have been weaved into each of these stories and with one more to come I know I definitely can’t wait for the next book…

Ghosts, ghosts and more ghosts

In this story, it’s finally time for Spense and Saoirse to admit their feelings, plus there’s another supernatural entity to defeat. I liked the climax of the story, it’s both exciting and sweet. I found the discussion of where everyone was going to live to be a bit drawn out. Overall, an action-packed read with exciting books to come in both this series and the spin-off series.

excellent paranormal romance

This is the fourth in a really excellent paranormal romance series. It is set in England and I am really enjoying it. There is action and there is 🔥 🔥 I am sure that you will enjoy this book and the series. BTW if you didn’t start with book #1 in this series I really recommend that you do start at the beginning. You will enjoy the series a lot more if you read them in order.

Saoirse never saw Felix Spenser as Felix. She preferred to call him Spense. She was in a D/s marriage that left a bad taste in her mouth. She vowed she would never go there again. After covering for her friends she found out what Spense is all about. She is torn. She is her own woman and the best person to take the supernatural head-on. It is in his nature to protect her.

The history of the Savoy comes alive in Contract.
