This manhwa has an intriguing plot and breathtaking art, but it’s the compelling cast and the complicated relationships they had that truly kept me reading. Even when the protagonist and her love interests weren’t on the page, I was curious about the other princes and the politics transpiring between them. Towards the end, I feel like the loose ends were tied up a bit too quickly, and I wish there was a little more development of Jeokyeon’s feelings towards her endgame love interest since in comparison he’s been desperately in love forever, but I enjoyed the manhwa a lot. I think it subverted some of the usual dynamics of the “woman pretending to be a man for an end goal” trope with higher stakes and more tension between characters, rather than using her gender as a source of humor and hijinks.

Gorgeous art. I’ve gotten a bit tired of contests for thrones but this one felt more political and I enjoyed the short stories sprinkled in. Also, three yanderes? Didn’t see that coming.

I actually loved the emperor’s story most. Had me stealth crying.

The ending felt right for the series but I do think the romance got away from the author. Maybe public pressure. It felt like the end was pre-thought out and it didn’t quite mesh with the romance arcs for me. Went from hot flaming Cheetos to simmering friendship vibes in my opinion.

(3.5) An exceptional manhwa. The creator knocked it out of the park. Great characters, otherworldly art, and poetic writing. Oh and there’s lovely music attached with several of the chapters. I think it’s hard for a graphic novel to get down to the same level of detail as a novel can, but Mystic Prince/Aheuredal does a pretty great job. It’s really not every day you come across a manhwa like this one.

Assolutamente il webtoon più bello e ben fatto che io abbia mai letto. I disegni sono bellissimi e molto coinvolgenti, sia per quanto riguarda i personaggi che per gli ambienti, colorati e fantastici. La storia è complessa e mai scontata, tiene sempre viva l’attenzione con colpi di scena e novità continue, e ho amato tutti i personaggi principali, dal primo all’ultimo ben costruiti e tridimensionali.
Forse si protrae un po' troppo a lungo, specialmente alla fine, e avrei apprezzato un po' di tensione in più tra i protagonisti alla scoperta del grande segreto, ma tutto sommato mi è piaciuto com'è andata. Molto toccante in generale tutta la storia.

Una historia con una trama y un arte que te atrapa desde el primer panel. La verdad que el mundo me pareció completamente interesante y bien escrito, y el romance??????? La tensión entre los príncipes 1 y 4?????? En el PISO me tenían (aunque me quedé con ganas de más). Honestly este Webtoon tuvo de todo y fueron unas 24 horas POTENTES, donde sentí todos los sentimientos habidos y por haber aprox

I kept looking for a good manhwa, and I'm sick of those typical isekai, reincarnated, marriage, male lead, villainess, divorce, tyrant, duke, empress titles. (need I say more?)

Finally found this hidden gem under crossdressing, and I thought it was a light read. However.....This. Blew. Me. Away!!!

At first I didn't like the artstyle. Somehow I learned to love everyone and everything that I lost count how many times I reread it while waiting for new chapters. There's a lot of foreshadowing in earlier chapters, so it's best to reread to understand more of the lore. (mind you, I seldom reread books)

I'm not a fan of romance, but this one contains sooooo many poetic lines... ugh.. I just can't get enough! It softens my apathetic heart. Finally, a manhwa worth reading.

hope this has a printed version someday..

P.S. I'm glad there's a safe space for the fandom where everyone shares theories per chapter. Some members had to set up social media accounts just to participate lol
