Rate this book
Walk with New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Donna Grant through the doorway into the next engaging installment of her captivating new Dragon Kings series…

I am hers, and she is mine…

Vaughn has spent eons searching for the woman who captured his heart, only to be disappointed time and again. Sure, he sees her in his dreams. May get to touch and hold her. But it’s not the same. As the emptiness inside him grows, he jumps at the chance for a distraction. Setting his eyes on the dragons again in Zora is a balm, but it can’t compare to once again coming face-to-face with the gorgeous beauty who holds a piece of his soul.

With responsibilities comes sacrifice...

Eurwen has never known anything but the burden and joy of ruling the dragons. But unlike her twin, she’s always been curious about Earth and the Kings and felt as if something were missing from her life. When her reunion with her parents brings an unexpected surprise, she can’t help but give in to the pleasure that Vaughn offers. Still, her loyalty lies with her realm, and the hurdles in their way to happiness seem insurmountable—especially with a new and unknown foe seeking to destroy them.

Trust doesn’t come easily, but love conquers all. And no amount of time or space can keep those who belong together apart.

I can't believe it's just a week until DRAGON MINE is out into the world. This might be only the second book in this spin-off series, but it packs quite a punch—and set up so much more. I can't wait until all of you get to read it.

Until then, how about an excerpt?

That night, so long ago, had been clear and sultry. Something had drawn him out. The full moon hung large and low in the sky as billions of stars watched from above. And the magic had been heavy and intoxicating.

He had left Dreagan with no particular destination in mind, flying for miles until he spotted the fires. He’d landed unseen far from the village and walked there in his human form. The Celtic tribe’s cheers had been boisterous and infectious. They danced and celebrated their victory against an enemy around huge fires with flames that attempted to reach the moon.

They welcomed him, shoving a horn of mead into his hand. Vaughn had always had a particular interest in the Celts. They were attuned to the Earth in a way that others weren’t. He’d been content to watch them despite their attempts to get him to join them.

Vaughn had moved away from the group and leaned against an ancient, gnarled oak with limbs that twisted and reached outward. He watched the festivities with a smile, content to witness the celebration. The mead was particularly good. Or perhaps it was the magic in the air.

The British Isle thrummed with magic. It was why the Dragon Kings had made their home in Scotland, where the heart of the planet’s magic sprang forth. Dragon Kings were especially in tune with magic in all beings and creatures. Many times, mortals had no idea that magic was there, sometimes even changing events. That was because the humans couldn’t feel it. But Vaughn did. It was thick, hanging heavily in the air like an invisible mist. Even if he had wanted to walk away, he wouldn’t have been able to.

Then, he’d seen her across one of the great fires. She had stood staring at him. He’d immediately felt her pull, the attraction instant and irresistible. That’s when he realized that she was the reason he had been drawn from Dreagan. The firelight gave her blond locks a red-orange tint. They said nothing as they started toward each other in unison, weaving through others and around the fires.

Until they were face-to-face.

For the first time in his life, he couldn’t find words. He didn’t know what to say. And yet, there was so much he wanted to say to her. She took his hand and, with a smile, led him to a cottage. The red-orange glow from a fire in the hearth coated the inside of the home. She faced him, and before he could speak, her mouth was on his.

So good. So much stuff happens.

Vaughn finally finds the girl he meet eons ago and keeps meeting in his dreams, and he finds out she's Con & Rhi's daughter, Eurwen. He knows she's his mate, but she doesn't want to admit it. Lots of drama and hot sex. There is evil in Zora and it's attacking everyone. What it is this new foe?

Con and Rhi finally meet the twins, but there is lots of drama and angst there. We get to see Varek and Jeyra again. Claire and V and baby drama. Plus we see lots of other couples back on Dreagan.

There are seven more Dragon Kings to find mates...where on Earth, the Fae realm, Zora. And how long will it take to defeat this new foe?

Vaughn and Eurwen’s story is my all time fave Dragon King book! It was filled with so much angst and such amazing scenes I will be thinking of this book for years to come!

What I also loved is that you get to see all the Dragon Kings you love as well as meet some new characters! As with every Grant novel and what keeps me coming back to her books is the fact that yes the plots of the books are somewhat connected but you can read the books as standalones and still enjoy the characters!

Eurwen is such a strong female lead! She is a beautiful soul with so much to give. I love that Vaughn wanted nothing more than to help her grow as a person/dragon and see her loved and happy! He was her strength without taking anything away! Their story is just awe inspiring!

Series: Dragon Kings #2
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

Vaughn has spent eons searching for the woman who captured his heart. When a door opens to the dragons, and Con and Rhi’s children, he jumps at the chance to distract himself. Instead he finds himself face-to-face with the woman he fell for.

We finally return to the realm of dragons! A lot happens in this book, especially for how short it is, but it sets up a whole lot of the storyline for this series. Vaughn has been on the periphery of the Dark Kings series and we finally are getting to learn about him in this book. He has spent eons searching for his mate and he finally finds her in Zora (the dragons realm). I enjoyed Vaughn and Eurwen’s relationship. They have been pining for each other for centuries and are finally together. They do have a few issues to work though but it wasn’t anything major.

While I did enjoy the relationship between Vaughn and Eurwen, it didn’t feel like the main focus of this story, which isn’t a bad thing but was still surprising. The main focus of this story (at least to me) was the relationship between the dragon realm and the Dragon Kings and the new threat that the dragons are facing on Zora. The new threat is interesting but still very unknown. I really can’t wait to see what the next book will reveal.

Also we finally get the reunion of Con and Rhi with their twins. As you can imagine, it was a tense reunion with the twins not really understanding their parents actions at first. But the more they actually talk with their parents and spend time with them they start to understand their actions. By the end we start to see them actually working together as a family but things are still a little rocky between them, which is understandable since they raised themselves.

Overall, I am enjoying this new series and the direction it is taking. I enjoyed Vaughn and Eurwen’s story and the new enemy they are facing. I really want to know more about Brandr now.

Trigger Warnings: references and brief discussions about miscarriages and child death

The Dragon Kings are facing a potential mating, BIG surprises, and a new danger…

Dragon Mine was loaded with goodies! Old couples to visit, the new ‘will they, won’t they’ couple -may I just say that Con as a potential father-in-law is mind boggling?! This book has sooooo many tiny details you don’t want to miss! The villain side was extremely murky on deets, but the early build up makes this sound like the biggest threat the group has ever faced! I’m dying to know what on earth is happening!!

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Everything in this book worked seamlessly - the world-building was expansive and fascinating, the action had high-stakes and was thrilling and the romance was a pure, unadulterated soulmate bliss.

Vaughn has been searching for his dream woman for eons and when he finally found Eurwen, the immediate connection was a beautiful storm of heat and tender devotion.
Eurwen, burdened by the responsibility of her realm and the centuries-old resentment towards the parents who 'abandoned' her, was a deeply sympathetic heroine. Vaughn's steadfast love and patience, combined with the powerful, tense reunion between Eurwen, her twin Brandr, and their parents delivered a punch of family drama that is both heartbreaking and immensely rewarding.

This novel tied together the overarching mythology of the Dragon Kings while providing a standalone love story that felt completely earned and deeply satisfying.

When I first met Vaughn in the Dark Kings series he seemed very lost and lonely. I have been anticipating his story for awhile; I am so very glad that he has found his mate and his HEA. If you don't like stories where people fall in love quickly this might not be for you. However, this story has a lot to offer substance wise; it isn't just about the romance there is an over arching story. I am assuming it will be epic just like the Dark Kings series was and I am anticipating good things from this cast of characters, old and new.

This is book two and can be read alone but is much better if you read book one first. This is a spin off series and so book one is a good intro to all the characters if you haven't read the Dark Kings series (if you liked this book though I highly recommend that series too).

I hope you like this story as much as I did.

Happy Reading!

Dragon Mine is the second book in the spin-off series—Dragon Kings. Being the first full length book in this new series we get a great look at Zora, the new dragon home-world. Vaughn gets to bridge dream and reality. The woman from his past that he haunts his dreams, turns out to be Con and Rhi’s daughter. Eurwen needs to come to terms with issues in her past, or she will lose the future that is in front of her.
For those who have not figured it out yet: this isn’t a Dragon/Human, a Dragon/Druid, or even Dragon/Fae. This is a DRAGON/DRAGON romance on the DRAGON homeworld!! 5 stars.

4.25 stars--DRAGON MINE is the second instalment in Donna Grant’s contemporary, adult DRAGON KINGS erotic, paranormal, fantasy romance series-a spin off from the author’s DARK KINGS and the other numerous interconnected series. This is Teal Dragon King Vaughn, and half fae-half dragon hybrid Eurwen’s story line. DRAGON MINE can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading INFERNO (Dark Kings #18), and DRAGON REVEALED (Dragon Kings 1).

WARNING: If you have not read the DARK KINGS series or DRAGON REVEALED, there may be spoilers in my review.

Told from several third person perspectives including Eurwen and Vaughn, DRAGON MINE follows Teal Dragon King Vaughn as he searches for a woman he met hundreds of years earlier, a woman he believes to be his fated mate. When King of Dragon Kings Con and his mate Light Fae Rhi cross the portal into Zora, in an effort to meet the children they never knew and reconnect with the dragons they have not seen in thousands of years, Vaughn asks to go along, believing his mate may be on the other side. Enter half fae/half dragon Eurwen. What ensues is the building relationship between Eurwen and Vaughn, and the potential fall-out as someone or something is targeting the dragons in Zora.

Eurwen and her brother Brandr have lived in Zora for all of their lives. Having never met their met their biological parents, and believing to have been abandoned, Eurwen and Brandr want nothing to do with the Dragon Kings until life in Zora begins to spiral out of control. Vaughn knew the woman he met years before was probably his fated mate but in all the years he has never been able to locate the woman, except in dreams, which were only too real to call fantasies. Eurwen and her brother made a pact never to cross the portal to Earth but Eurwen wanted something more, wanted to know about the dragons and Fae from whence she came. Meeting and falling for Dragon King Vaughn meant Eurwen had to remain in hiding, believing the Dragon Kings would take what didn’t belong.

The relationship between Eurwen and Vaughn began hundreds of years earlier but Vaughn could never find the woman with whom he would fall in love. Eurwen is part Fae, and therefore doesn’t believe in fated mates until she reconnects with our storyline hero, a man who stirs something deep within our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate, erotic and intense without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful, energetic and familiar secondary and supporting characters including a number of Dragon Kings and their mates: Con and Rhi, V(lad) and Claire, Ulrik and Eilish, Varek and Jeyra. The Silvers will finally have a place to call home.

DRAGON MINE is a story of family, pain and heart break; acceptance and revelations; secrets, truths, love and understanding. The premise is emotional, engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are dynamic, charismatic yet lost. DRAGON MINE is a revealing, tragic and character driven story line.

Was I hooked by that book? Yes. You have a tension-fraught reunion between parents and twins, new relationships forged, love blooming, and all the hunky dragon shifters your heart can desire.

Donna Grant's new series, the Dragon Kings, continue with Vaughn's story. Vaughn has been dreaming of his mystery woman for eons and he has looked everywhere for her. On Earth, that is. When the chance presents itself to visit the realm of Zora, he grabs it with both hands. And on the other side of the fae portal? None other than Eurwen and Brandr, the long-lost twins of Con and Rhi.

The twins harbor a lot of bitterness and resentment towards their parents. Centuries-old feelings don't just disappear in an instant. And the twins had to swallow a bitter pill when they realized that maybe they were wrong about Con and Rhi. Eurwen is the first to come to this conclusion and Brandr is going to need a little bit more time.

Vaugn and Eurwen had insane chemistry right from the start. Well, it has been building for a long time and the dream world isn't quite as fulfilling as the real one. I was rooting for them all the way. Their story, more than the first book in this series, is a bridge between the Dragon Kings and the Dark Kings. It is also a bridge between the two realms. It's their relationship that brings the two worlds together. And I love that Con and Rhi were there to help.

There is plenty of action and the plot progresses at a good pace. The suspense is built up quite well and interspersed with some really moving moments. It's an exciting start to a whole new series with a new mysterious enemy.

I can definitely recommend this series to any paranormal romance reader. I would also suggest to start reading with the first book of the Dark Kings. That way you don't miss anything.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I couldn’t wait to find out more about the Twins in previous books, then I finally got to Dragon Mine and it took forever to actually capture my attention. Eurwen was obnoxious, and her brother even more so. I really wasn’t a fan of either of them for the majority of the book, they were just too childish for me. Thankfully we did see some decent character development.

Vaughn on the other hand was quite spectacular, though not what I was expecting. What happened to the bad ass lawyer Dragon King? While he was amazing in his own right, it just wasn’t what I was expecting.

We saw a new storyline develop in Dragon Mine and I am very excited to see where it goes.

OMG!! What a fantastic read! I will not give any spoilers though.
This story is Vaughn's and it takes place on Zora. Where dragons get to fly freely. Vaughn is King of the Teals & when I read who his heart belonged to, I think my jaw hit the floor. I never saw it coming or figured it out. Plus, there is a new enemy for the dragons to conquer.
This book has a dash of everything so I thoroughly suggest you buy now with one click.
Donna Grant has a way of writing that gets her readers completely engrossed in every book she writes. I can't wait for book 3!

Wow! I never get tired reading about dragons and this story was actually great. I was so excited for Eurwen and finally we have her story! Couldn't be more happy for her. It was good to see Con and Rhi finally meet their kids and create a strong relationship with them. Yes it was difficult in the beginning but I think we all expected that. I'm really interested to see what is this new evil that caused so many dragon deaths 💔
Really sad what happened there 💔

Overall, nice story and great world building. I'm a big fan of this series 🖤

Wowzers!! I was honestly unsure how Ms Grant could continue this series and it remain amazing. I should know better than to ever doubt the amazing, talented Donna Grant!!

I loved where Dragon Mine took us. We got to meet and get to know the twins, especially Eurwen. There were so many things thrown at readers with this new series, I cannot wait to find out where they take us. The Kings being reunited with dragons was emotional. Rhi and Con meeting their children, emotional. The twins inner turmoil, emotional. So much emotion!!
I havent felt this connected to a book in a long time. The emotional highs and lows had me clinging to the pages of this book until the end. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!! Thank you Ms Grant for a wonderful adventure.

A Paranormal Romance With Plenty of Conflict and High Emotion.

I’m a fan of Donna’s books and have read lots of them. As I’ve said before, her writing style is easy to read and I like the way she paces the development of her plots. Her characters are never just good or evil, she creates complex souls with a multifaceted mix of positive and negative traits. This makes them more credible; bringing them to life in my mind. I love the new fantasy world that Donna has created for this series.

I connect to a story more when the female protagonist has certain personality traits.
Eurwen is a dragon queen, although she doesn’t view herself as one. She’s a skilled fighter, respected leader and loyal to a fault to her brother and the dragons in her realm. I loved getting to know her; finding out about her history. Eurwen’s choices during this adventure weren’t easy, but I admired her intelligence, resilience and strength. Vaughn, being a Dragon King from Earth, obviously, means that I’ve met him before in the Dark Kings series. However, it was great to get beneath his skin and get inside his head during this one.

Antony Ferguson is a new-to-me narrator.
I enjoyed Antony’s performance and liked the pace at which he read this book. I found his reading of the narrative full of emotion which pulled me into each scene. The male and female voices Antony created for the various characters sounded natural and fit their personalities. Each voice was different enough that I was never confused as to who was speaking. The strange mix of English accents that Donna described the humans having sounded odd but realistic. The Scottish brogues that Antony created for Vaughn, Constantine and Varek sounded wonderful. Mmmm, yummy. I’m looking forward to listening to more audiobooks read by Antony.

Donna loves the romantic aspect between her lead couple to be concluded by the end of each book.
I love Happy Ever After endings too. Woop! Woop! But Dragon Mine isn’t just about the romance between Vaughn and Eurwen. There are a couple of other plot threads weaved together in this tale. I enjoyed having these other storylines to follow while watching the trials and tribulations of Vaughn and Eurwen’s romance.

I really enjoyed this audiobook; it was a tale that kept me listening from start to finish!
Dragon Mine has everything that I look for in a good paranormal romance story; adventure, mystery, action, great characters, some humour, romance and a sprinkling of passion.

Content Warning:
This book has graphic violence and explicit sex as well as some darker themes. Therefore, I’d only recommend this book to adults who are OK reading material of this nature.

I’d recommend Dragon Mine to adults who enjoy paranormal romance tales. Readers who’re looking for honourable heroes and heroines who have plenty of gumption. Especially those fans who want a gripping multi-layered backstory with action, romance, oh, and a bit of blush-worthy titillation.

Exhilarating and Mesmerising

DRAGON MINE
is the new exhilarating addition to Donna Grant's Dragon Kings series. It is emotional, heartbreaking, joyous, and inspiring. Ms. Grant introduces her readers to the realm of Zora, home to Rhi and Con's children and dragons. Yes, that's right ... dragons!! As well as catching up with some favourites, there's some new family/friends to meet, a mysterious new enemy, and a brand new realm to discover and explore.

"Dragons weren't meant to be alone. It was why they had mates."

Vaughn has been haunted for more than a millennia by the memory of a women he would never forget. Endless searching bringing him no joy, then out of the blue his hopes once again build. Will the new realm, Zora, bring about the end of his search? Eurwen has spent her entire life on Zora, along with her brother Brandr. Together they rule the realm, doing everything in the best interests of the dragons they watch over. The time has now come for Eurwen to learn the truth of the past and face some very hard facts. Has living on Zora distorted her opinion of her parents and left her heart closed off at a time when she needs to be open minded and open hearted?

"I searched the world over for you. I never stopped because I knew you were out there somewhere, waiting for me to find you."

Vaughn and Eurwen share an intense passion that has survived for millennia in dreams, but what will happen when they are physically together again? Will it be as intense, or will Eurwen's doubts destroy what happiness they could share together? I loved that their journey was not an easy one, Donna ensures that both Vaughn and Eurwen are driven by their emotions, needs, and their undeniable chemistry and attraction for one another. Can they overcome the hurdles they face brought upon by themselves and others?

"Death would be easier than living without her."

DRAGON MINE
was such a wonderful read. I found myself continually moving to the edge of my seat wondering what Ms. Grant was going to produce next. So many questions have arisen from this story. What is the secret behind the human babies appearing suddenly on Zora? Where are they coming from? Who is sending them? Who or what is this mysterious new enemy? Why are they attacking now and not before? Has the presence of the Dragon Kings brought forth the new enemy? After reading this one, I definitely want more of Ms. Grant's dragons and their realms.

Of all Donna Grants books about the Dragon Kings, it was this one that has stolen my heart and emotions. This book led me on a roller coaster ride of emotions from irritation and frustration, to passion and joy and everything in between.

Vaughn has been searching for his mate for eons every since that night long ago when they met during a Celt Celebration. They shared unbelievable passion but the next morning she was gone and he didn't even know her name. He wondered if it were a dream. But he found her in his dreams and seemed so real to him. She had to be real. He continued to search for her everywhere.

Con and Rhi had recently learned they had twins they didn't know about - Eurwen and Brandr - and were anxious to meet them but the twins were reluctant and for lack of better words, distrustful and angry with them. What they don't realize is that they really didn't know the entire story and they didn't know how strong the love was between their parents. Eurwen decided to open a doorway to her realm so that she could finally meet her parents and decide for herself how she felt and went against her brother's wishes.

Con, Rhi, and Vaughn crossed over into Zora, the realm that Erith took the twins to to rule the dragons that Con had sent away for their safety. Vaughn went because he felt he had to - something was driving him forward to seek out something - his mate, maybe?

When they arrived, things were very tense between everyone and they soon realized their was an evil threat on Zora. Con and Rhi offered their help to find out what was going on. Among the danger, however several awesome things happen. One is Vaughn and Eurwen's mating ceremony. I got choked up with tears when Rhi gave Vaughn the Celtic bracelet and my breath caught when Vaughn saw Eurwen walking towards him dressed in an unbelievably beautiful gown. I really wish there was a picture of Eurwen's gown - it sounds fabulously gorgeous. The description of it was incredible!

It will probably be a while before Brandr's book is written but I cannot wait for Brandr to meet his mate. This will be an epic battle of the heart because Brandr is very wary and distrustful of everyone. He will not let his guard down easily but what Brandr doesn't realize is he will have met his match when he meets his mate and they will be equal in strength and passion. Sparks will surely fly! It will be a great read in Donna Grant tradition. It will be hilarious watching him succumb to love most likely being stubborn and pigheaded while he is kicking and screaming the entire way.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

He’s searched for her for centuries…
Long ago, Vaughn saw her and was immediately drawn to her. He never knew he’d only have one night with her nor that that one night would have him search across the world and the centuries for any trace of her. Now that the Kings have found that their dragons are on Zora, he knows he has to go there. He can’t explain it, he just knows he needs to go there.
Eurwen, along with her twin Brandr, tamed the chaos the dragons were living in on Zora. She knew her parents’ history, as well as the Kings’ history, having heard the stories from Erith. Both of the twins had visited Earth many times, first together, than apart. They agreed to never interact with the Kings. So when Eurwen was drawn to Vaughn all those lifetimes ago, that became the first secret she kept from her twin.
Much to her brother’s dismay, Eurwen decided to create a doorway to allow Con & Rhi to visit Zora. She wants to give them, and the other Kings, the chance to see Zora and the dragons. She thought she was over the anger her brother and her had held against their parents for so long, but her first meeting with her parents did not go as planned – she was stunned that Vaughn came through the doorway with Con & Rhi and that had her off kilter.
Nothing goes as planned once Con, Rhi & Vaughn go through the doorway to Zora. They finally get to meet their daughter and she is angry with them. They don’t get to meet their son and they are trying their best to give the twins time. And with Brandr feeling something is wrong on Zora, he wants to blame it on the Kings, and his parents, arrival. He does not want them, or any Kings, on Zora at all. He only likes Varek because he & Jeyra helped rescue the captured dragons. But when an unknown entity attacks one of Brandr’s generals, can he accept help from the Kings, can he accept help from his father?
As always, Donna Grant gave her readers what we all have wanted - the Kings have found the dragons and now have a way to visit them. But it can’t be easy for the Kings. They are all excited because they found the dragons but throw in the very powerful twin children that Con & Rhi only recently learned about, the mystery of how the human babies are appearing on Zora, the worry over V & Claire’s baby and this story will have you laughing, crying and gasping – sometimes all at once. I cannot wait until the next part of this story, but I know the anticipation will just make the arrival of the next story that much sweeter.

Review courtesy of Romance Junkies

DRAGON MINE is book two in Donna Grant’s new paranormal romance series, DRAGON KINGS, a spinoff from her DARK KINGS series. It is also loosely connected with her REAPER books. I recommend reading the previous series to understand everything that goes on in the plot and the characters involved. The only nitpick I have is that I wish the author explored Zora a bit more. I guess I got spoiled on Anne McCafferty and Mercedes Lackey’s dragon realms that I expected more.
Vaughn is the Dragon King of the Teals. He is Dreagan’s solicitor and lawyer. Vaughn cannot forget the woman he met eons ago. He offers to accompany Rhi and Con to Zora – an alternate world like earth but with dragons. There, Vaughn comes face-to-face with his mystery woman. However, she intends to keep him at a distance. Will Vaughn convince Eurwen they belong together? Can he help her and her brother defeat Zora’s menacing threat?
Eurwen is the daughter of Rhiannon and Constantine. She co-rules Zora with her twin brother. Eurwen yearns to meet her parents. However, their reunion brings an unexpected guest. Eurwen feels conflicted between her feelings for Vaughn and her duty to Zora. A dangerous threat reveals itself. Will Eurwen deny Vaughn? Can she find a way to be with him? Or will duty stand between their happiness?
I can only imagine the emotional turmoil Vaughn went through on seeing dragons again. However, I admire him for not trying to force a connection with his teals. Vaughn understands that he is essentially a stranger to them. What I like the most about Vaughn is his patience with Eurwen. He waited centuries to find her. Vaughn also respected Eurwen for her responsibilities to the dragons.
I had a difficult time connecting with Eurwen. I cannot pinpoint what exactly kept me from liking her, especially since she possesses a lot of qualities I like. She does remind me somewhat of her mother in some ways. I adore Eurwen’s name. It differs from the usual Gaelic names used often in stories. I did have to look up its pronunciation. What I admire the most about Eurwen is her dedication to Zora and the dragons. The dragons’ safety comes first to her.
DRAGON MINE is an incredible tale of two people overcoming challenging hurdles to be together. I cannot wait to see what dangers await the Dragon Kings in Zora in upcoming books.
Those with sensitivity to miscarriages and stillborn births should read with caution. It is mentioned and referenced in the story.

She's done it again.

She has given us love, hope, intrigue and drama. Set in Zora, a new realm where Brandr and Euwren serve as rulers, Vaughn has travelled hoping to find the woman who haunts his dreams. Euwren is curious about her parents and the rest of the Kings, and she wonders will he come to her, the King she met so long ago and never forgot.

In this page turner we get a glimpse into the new dragon realm and the brother and sister who rule over it. It's not like before with clans and Kings for each, those Kings are on Earth not Zora, so how will the dragons take it upon seeing the Kings of old?

I love the fact that while there are a couple of moments of tension and distrust. You wouldn't believe a story where after eons of time one fraction meets the other and all is hunky dory after hello and a bear hug. These are dragons Kings, dragons and whatever the hell it is on Zora that is starting to threaten them. There will be questions. There will be tests. Eventually will there be understanding....maybe.

Ms. Grant writes so that you can picture the world she is leading you into. You can hear the dragons roar. You can imagine all the colors filling the skies. And you don't mind the time you spend with all these strong characters. A couple of times you might even find yourself laughing at something one did or said. That is the sign of a good writer telling a good story....you react to it. It touches you.

We are so far from done when it comes to learning about this new realm. Why do the human babies just appear? How do they know to be afraid of the dragons? And what is this thing that is out to hurt the dragons? The invisible thing mystery.....or an old nemesis who's found a new way to attack the dragons?

So pull up a chair, grab a beverage of your choice and dive in. You won't be sorry you did.

The love between two individuals truly can shape the world(s), and Grant proved it in this latest installment of the Dragon Kings series, Dragon Mine. Vaughn has spent eons on the hunt for the woman that he knows is his mate, despite the logic that tells him to give up, and when he finally gets a chance to make her his, nothing will stand in his way, not even her stubbornness. Eurwen has fought so long for the peace she shares in their world, that she never thought about how small-minded and hardhearted it might have made her and her brother. When she finally has to face some hard truths, the fact is that nothing is as important as having her mate by her side as she rules the Dragons with compassion, caring, and authority. Finally allowing herself to love opens both Eurwen and her world up to so many new experiences and allies, with her brother’s begrudging acceptance, and there is no way that with the whole team aligned for one cause, the Dragon Kings and Queens, and their mates could lose against any enemy. The passion shared between Vaughn and Eurwen has been stirring for thousands of years so it’s safe to say, that when they finally meet again in person there is no denying that even we could feel the heat there. I loved seeing these two find their way through the obstacles in their own hearts and minds, the ones places in their way by others, and ultimately overcoming the complications fate has thrust into their lives. I cannot wait for the next in their series, obviously dying to know what happens next in Zora, who the new big bad is, and what happens with the Kings. In the meantime I will survive with the next Reapers story, Dark Alpha’s Need, and hope that we get to see some of the Kings and their friends make cameos there. The magic of Donna Grant and her Kings never ceases of amaze and delight me.

Vaughn has spent centuries searching for the woman he believes is his. He may see her in his dreams often, but he can't find her and it's not the same as her being there. When he gets the chance to go to Zora to see the dragons there, he jumps at it just in the hopes that she may be there. And coming face to face with the woman who owns his soul means more to him than seeing the dragons. Eurwen has always know the burden of ruling the dragons. But she is different from her twin in that she is also curious about Earth and the Kings that her father rules over there. She has always felt like something is missing, but she just doesn't know what that is. And when the reunion with her parents takes an unexpected turn, she has to decide not only where her loyalties lie but also what her future will hold. All while trying to figure out who the new adversary is in their realm.

I absolutely loved this book! Not only do we get to see how Rhi and Con reunite with their children but we also get to see a glimpse into the twins' feelings and thoughts towards their parents and the Kings. There was a lot more back story to this installment than I was expecting, but honestly I feel like it needed that just so we know more about the twins. You definitely want to pay attention to details because I feel like there are a lot that are going to be involved with the new big bad! There is a lot to it, so I don't want to say a lot and spoil it for anyone. Honestly, Donna Grant is one of my go to author's and this book just reinforced that for me. I was hooked from the start and I didn't want it to end! And just a little warning-there is definitely a part that one the one hand completely broke my heart but on the other hand made me want to smile so big! I definitely need to know more about her brother, but I also still need to know where the humans have been coming from. I can't wait to keep reading this series and get the answers to all my questions!
