Mandatory reading for any young man in a Western country today. Well-written with a lot of good advice on many subjects.

This is one of the finest books that a young Western man can read.

It gives fantastic advice on many topics, including physical health, personal philosophy, religion, and many others. If you are familiar with Marcus's work on other platforms and in other areas, much of the content will be familiar to you, but with new insights and takes that have been developed over the years. Additionally, all of it is written very well and in a way that is easy to understand and digest, with few (I have only found one in the entire book) grammatical or formatting errors, which is no small feat considering English is not the native language of the author.

It is impossible to read Dauntless and NOT come away inspired and wanting to improve yourself in at least one or more areas. It will challenge you in all of the right ways and if you will answer the call, you will walk away from this book with more knowledge, more inspiration, and more wisdom than you had before reading it.

I wish I had such a guide as a young man.
It gives clear advice for how to set a solid foundation in your life, beginning with personal lifestyle goals of eating well, working out, and disregarding bad habits such as pornography.
It then branches into more philosophical musings on how to make the world a better place, with the starting point being, aptly, yourself.

I recommend it to all young men.

I have read both editions. The quality of this edition is, as with all of Legio Gloria and Jotunheim Nutrition, second to none. I have purchased this book multiple times as a gift for my sons and my sons friends. Fathers and grandfather’s, if you are looking for something of a guidepost to steer the youth of your life in the correct (westerly) direction THIS IS IT!!

Vi rekommenderar denna bok och i synnerhet den inbundna versionen som pryds av ett vackert och tematiskt korrekt omslag (apropå "fienden") med ett inspirerande citat hämtat från Eddan på baksidan som lyder såhär;

“Cattle die, and kinsmen die,
And so one dies oneself;
One thing I know that never dies:
The fame of a dead man´s deeds.”

A good guide for young men who have yet to find their path in this world.

For me as a man in my thirties it was still a enjoyable read. There are a lot of topics covered here, varying from training and nutrition to relationships and philosophy, but they mostly tie in.

The language is the infamous mark of the Golden One, so if you have not yet come across it you may take a couple of chapters to get used to it.

Great book. The 'handbook' really gives the essence of what you can expect. It's a book covering a large area of topics from fitness to spirituality. It gives you basic insights into those topics so you can get into them. It is really unusual book in a very good way of it. I mean you can not only learn about for example compound movements but also you get some food recipes, you learn about philosophy, politics etc. It's a great recommendation for a guy or a girl who wants to improve their lifes in a based way. I would recommend it to every young person. Also the book is really beautiful it is black with gold graphics. Interior design is also aesthetically pleasing. Read Dauntless and subscribe to The Golden One.

Like Paul Waggener in America, Marcus Follin gives sound advices on the Physical, Mental, Spiritual and Temporal plans for your day-to-day life and broadens the scope of the average White man... at least, of the one who wants to read, to understand and to do !

Nothing new, but I'm sure it wasn't intended as such either. Just an all around great book for young men of the West.

In just two words: amazing book. Definitely worth your time. Phrase on the cover perfectly describes its content “A handbook for the quest for enlightenment and glory”.
For those, who are still reading this I will try to explain a bit longer and with details. From my perspective, this book is meant to be primarily for younger growing generations. This book is a guide on how to be a man. Since this book is written by Marcus Follin or his more prominent name “The Golden One” you don’t really have an opportunity to choose. You either right if you follow every single “rule” of this book or you are left and wrong. Not every person will understand this approach, but all information in this book is derived from personal experience throughout author’s life. He felt it on his own skin and just trying to secure you from doing these mistakes (since the book was written as a guide for young guys in their 20’s, not having an opportunity to choose is the best possible). A good third of the book are good old athletic advices. Especially appreciated thing for young guys. After this part go authors thoughts on culture. That is more philosophical part. Authors thoughts on current trends and particular aspects of our swiftly changing world: gaming, music, clothing - all is covered in the book. Few notes on sexual energy and how porn affects ones body and mind. Overhyped discussion topic in our society , though not fully covered by any means. Marcus Follin offers you a different view on the same thing, not this of soyjacks. It the book you also can find relationships advises. Relationships in the wide meaning of this word of course. How to find some good friends and form deeper relationships with them? How to be a friend? What does it mean to be a friend at all? If you don’t know the answers on these fore mentioned questions you should read “Dauntless”, where it’s explained in all its glory and simplicity. Thoughts on relationships with women overall and your significant other, if you’re lucky to have one, are included. With this being said, I truly enjoyed reading “Dauntless”. There is a lot of interesting ideas it it. One should undoubtedly thoroughly chew and digest all its knowledge and wisdom.

This is a great book on how western men should approach modern life. I would recommend all young western men read this book. It touches on many topics like fitness, nutrition, violence, culture, faith, sex, philosophy, and tribe. Although Marcus talks on all these points, he doesn’t delve very deep in any of them. And each one of these topics could be a book on its own. The language in this book flows very well in a similar fashion to Marcus’s YouTube videos.

Marcus shares very clearly his views on many aspects of modern life. I do not agree with all of it, Marcus is more for a heroic aesthetic, where I prefer being a gray man. He focuses on strength and martial arts and I focus on weapon capabilities, but I live in America and rarely go anywhere without a firearm and blades. But nothing in this book, I believe, is counter productive. Neither is it black pilling. It gives me hope for western civilization. Follow the teachings of this book and take the glorious pill!

I gave this book 3 stars because I was expecting more judging by all the hypeing Marcus did surrounding it saying how it’s a must read, if it was advertised in a more humble honest way I’d give it 5 stars, but then again I probably wouldn’t have bought it. It’s a good book but nothing enlightening, if you’re already into self improvement and knowledgeable into the shortcomings of our present then I suggest you skip it as you will already know all the things stated. It is very general. If you are very new to these things or if you want to give this book to a teenage relative or another youth then this is the book for you. As for my copy, I plan on gifting it to my 8 year old cousin once he’s a bit older.

This is a very good book that every young European, between the age of 15 and 27-28 should read, in my opinion. It contains well-grounded criticism of feminism, egalitarianism and pacifism based on facts, and also provides many practical and valuable lessons on physical and mental training, even some good cooking recipes.
Personally, I already knew most of the ideas and views presented in the book, but that did not stop me from thoroughly enjoying and appreciating it because those ideas and views are expressed in a truly eloquent way.

Highly recommended for any young man, especially 18-30 who are finding their own way in the world. I only wish I’d found something like this when I was younger and avoided some pitfalls sooner! Covers a wide gamut of topics from fitness to philosophy. Consider it a manual for live rather than a specific topic.

I read this book after reading 'Cant Hurt Me' by David Goggins. In a strange way they complimented each other brilliantly. Imagine how different the world could be if all young people were introduced to these works by two of the greatest men alive today. Truly inspiring.

Straight to the point, covers many topics in rapid succession.

The text is written in an authoritative, commanding manner. Unfortunately, this is undermined by a lack of proof-reading e.g. on p238: "First of all, it [is] important to point out...".
