This was unquestionably the best Bofuri manga so far. It has everything that makes this series awesome: Maple having adorably dumb ideas and somehow they work out in her favor, Maple and Sally's friendship (both in game and off game), Chrome being the leader of the Maple fanclub (and becoming a bit of a monster himself), and the other characters not understanding Maple but loving her nonetheless.

I don't know if I'll pre-order Volume 5 since I originally bought the mangas because I thought they'd tell me what happened after season 1 ended, only to find out that Bofuri didn't start out as a manga series but started out as a light novel series - so the mangas are actually /behind/ the anime. For example, this manga ends on episode 6 "Defense and Reinforcements" (halfway through the first season).

However, I don't regret buying them either because I enjoy seeing how multiple mediums (anime, manga) can interpret the same source material in different ways. The majority of things are more or less the same as the anime but there are some things in the manga that weren't in the anime and there were a few small changes (in translation or in execution) that I enjoyed to read.

Looking forward to season two of the anime coming out sometime this year!!!

This was my favorite volume so far. It had so much of what I enjoy about MMORPGs. It is like reading the gamelog of one. The art had some really good moments in this volume and the characters had a lot of development. I love the insight on the game trying to nerf Maple much like games try to maintain balance in the real world.

At first, I thought the "giant flying turtle" concept was the extent of Maple's new level of strange ideas, but then the concept of guilds within the game was explored.
In real life, I would love to encounter a gamer like Maple's real world person, unless I was running the game. I'd be less certain in that case...but the story is still a lot of fun to read, even if you pity the poor game admins.

This is just so much fun to read, maple is a great MC and the others around her bring so much too.
I chuckled so many times at the admins reactions to maple! So damn good!

Events come and go. The game interfers with real life. A guild house is founded. Harversting event. So many skills and new equipment.

This volume covers the end of the second in-game event and the founding of their new guild.

It was great to see Sally's skills on show at the start of this volume. It shows just how strong she is getting, even though she is often overshadowed by Maple's progress.

Maple's new gear is cool, but doesn't look nearly as cool as her original black outfit.

It's nice to see some of the characters from the first book again. They are getting a good team going in their guild and it's making me excited to see what they all get up to together.
