When you grow up in Home, WA, the road always leads you to… well, home.

I’m Bartlett Rough, and I’ve never left the mountain where I was raised with my six brothers and sisters. Cheesy as it may sound, Home really is where the heart is.

But we’re all growing up, building cabins of our own, taking claim of our land. Things are changing.

I feel that more than ever, when the winter winds sweep Abby into town.
This wild, fierce beauty is everything I’m not.

I own the hardware store, know everyone in this town by name, and am expected to settle down with someone local.

Abby tumbled into town on a train, with nothing to her name, clutching her dog Hijinx, and holding onto her memory of Home from when she came through here years ago.

I’ve played it safe my whole damn life.
After one night with Abby, I have someone to fight for.
A reason to risk it all.

But falling for her has no guarantees -- she could leave as fast as she came, taking my heart along with her.

Coming Home to the Mountain is a new filthy-sweet, high heat series by Frankie Love featuring rugged mountain men who fall hard, fast and forever. And with the women they love at their side, they choose to put family first.

In this series, Dad shows up, sisters remember to call, big brothers always look out for you, and Mom knows to keep an extra seat at the table for Sunday dinner. Not every family is perfect -- and the Rough family has its own set of problems -- but at the end of the day, they know what matters: Coming Home.

More Than a Circus Act

Frankie Love sets the stage for this new series with a heavy dose of insta-love between Bartlett "Bart" and Abracadabra "Abby". It's is a steamy, easy read with some family drama rolling into town.

Plum and Hijinks nearly steal the show with their cuteness. Seriously cute! 😍👧🐕😎

I love the makeshift circus and how, when the going gets tough, the Rough boys get rough. I also love how intuitive Bart is and how he makes Abby be honestly seen. Abby truly has come Home. ❤🤸🤗

I'm looking forward to more of the Rough & Rowdy families. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the first book of a new series. Hero is a hot mountain man with a big loving family and heroine wants to escape her family so she moves to his little town. Entertaining read. Steamy and emotional! Virgin heroine, celibate hero. No kids in the epilogue though which brings my rating down.

Frankie Love delivers a sweet and sexy instalove story. I expected a run of the mill small town romance based on the cover, but there are quite some unusual elements- including our escaped circus heroine. This is a fast paced, lower angst read with lots of heart and heat. I liked how Frankie keeps this low drama but found ways to make it interesting and memorable, and the chemistry is delicious.

Bartlett comes from a big family and they all live in Home. Abby returns to the little town after she fell in love with it as a child. Sparks fly between her and Bartlett when she finds him holding her dog. When Bartlett finds out about what has happened to her since she arrived, he offers her a home cooked meal to give her a better welcome to town. Soon she is sitting down with his entire family for dinner and enjoying every minute of it. When she can't stay at the local bed and breakfast because of her dog Bartlett offers her a place to stay. Abby is running from her family and the life they want her to have. Will her secrets end things between her and Bartlett? Will her family leave her be?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

An awesome read filled with a small town, instalove, and family. Bartlett Rough was born into a big family and lives in a small town called Home filled with his family's history; while Abby finds comfort in Home and makes it her mission to live there after stopping to visit many years ago. When Bartlett finds Abby's dog near his storefront they both hit it off really well together and had instant chemistry that was heartwarming and deep. As their relationship quickly progresses, Abby's troubles finds her which tests how much Bartlett was willing to go to protect his girl. Definitely a great read and a perfect start to this series as each of the Rough family will keep you entertained.

This is the first book I've read by the author and I wished it was longer. From the first time they met, Bart and Abby has an insta-attraction for each other. And with how he felt then, Bart quickly become her man who'll protect her. He knows she's the one for him and he will be a safe place, a home for her. Definitely swoony and I loved his family. I can't wait to see what's coming next.

Do you love mountain man, big family, small town and insta love with insane chemistry? Rough and Tumble by Frankie Love is for you. It was a quick and entertaining read with feels and passion in plenty.

When Abby returns to the small town that felt like dream to her years ago, she had no idea she will be robbed and hurt and will lose her dog. But Bartlett Rough, owner of Hammer Home and from the big Rough family came to her rescue. She is running away from her life and Bartlett is instantly obsessed with her.

The Rough family is a big, loud and loving one and I loved to meet all of them. Bartlett is big from every side too. A drool worthy body and a swoon worthy heart. His protective side is just so sexy. Abby is sweet and soft and until recently she was under control of her evil parents. But she has decided to be strong and this small town is her perfect chance. It was an easy read and if you are looking for a fast entertaining ride, it is perfect for you. You won't even know how the time passed.

Rough and Tumble by Frankie Love is a novella length contemporary romance set in a small town called Home in Washington.

Abby is running from her family and returns to the small town after having fallen in love with it when she was little and Bartlett is the second sibling in a huge family, managing the family hardware store. It is love at first sight for these two, sparks fly from the moment their eyes meet.

This was a pretty run-of-the-mill romance for the most part but Abby's family being a traveling circus crew made things very interesting on that front. I would have liked if we as readers got some more insight on the issues between her and the family, Bartlett's was pretty straight forward and picture perfect, I kinda almost missed some sense of drama or conflict in this one.

The epilogue was a sweet one, as expected and I enjoyed the book for what it's worth.

3 stars.

Very sweet book. I love this family! Preordered the next book! Bartlett was really sweet and all in. Abby tried pushing but it was only for a moment.

Dual POV
Virgin heroine celibate hero
No ow drama
Om drama was just someone wanted her and she wanted nothing to do with him. So I don’t count it as drama.
Epilogue ok 1 month out.

I thought that this was a great start to a new series and I can't wait for more! Ms. Frankie is back with another fantastic book. I really enjoyed Abby and Bart together. The connection and chemistry between these two was amazing. Abby is finally free from her cage and she is willing to do anything to stay out of it again. Bart is "perfect" and has always done what was expected of him but now that Abby has entered his life, he will break all the rules to get and keep her with him. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Frankie as an amazing author.

Rough and Tumble by Frankie Love, is book #1 in her new Coming Home Series. This is a short and quick read that features a super swoony mountain man with a huge heart, a big family and he will do anything to protect the beautiful Abby that has just arrived in his hometown. Abby is on the run when she arrives in Home, Washington. After a visit to this cute little town when she was younger, she promised herself if she could ever escape her family she was going to come back. The moment Bartlett sets his eyes on Abby, he is drawn to her immediately. He sees her beauty and something inside of him knows she is it for him. The one he has been waiting for to make his life complete. Frankie Love's mountain men and in insta-love stories are so easy to fall for. This is a heart warming, steamy read that I devoured in one sitting. The Rough family have my attention! I love how warm and welcoming they are and even though Bart's brother Rye was skeptical of Abby at first, I have a feeling there is a back story underneath and many layers to uncover and I cannot wait for his story next.

The ratings are solid so obviously it's a me thing, but I just couldn't with this one. The synopsis and cover had me expecting a sweet/sexy small town romance. What I got was the silliest story that had me rolling my eyes on every page. The insta-love was off the charts, like from the first meeting this guy was thinking about forever and she pretty much went with it. And the dialogue was sooo cringey. The whole thing was pretty ridiculous and I was just thankful it was short.

The present is perfect
I’m so happy a new series is starting! With such a big family, I just know there are going to be lots of great love stories coming out of Home! This first one is about Bartlett and Abby. They meet when Bartlett has found Abby’s dog Hijinx roaming around the streets. She accuses him of trying to steal her dog, and he thinks she’s an irresponsible pet owner. But he eases up on her when she explains how she came to be in Home, and the terrifying incident she encountered getting off the train. She’d been drawn to the small town from the time she visited as a child with her family’s travelling circus, and her unfortunate accident hadn’t dampened that too much. Abby was just so desperate to get away from her family, the circus, and everything that surrounds that.
Bartlett is nothing but kind, and circumstances lead to him offering a spare room for Abby to stay in and taking her to his family’s weekly Sunday dinner. Everyone gets on well, though a couple of his many siblings are dubious about her. It was wonderful to meet everyone, and it was such a different atmosphere to her own family and upbringing, that she loved it immediately. The banter was fun and entertaining, and their mutual love was obvious and sweet.
Bartlett and Abby have amazing chemistry, but he let’s her take things at her pace. While she’s inexperienced, she really knows what she wants. And she wants him! She wonders why and how he could be single. He simply tells her he was waiting for her… swoon! They’ve both fallen for each other really fast!
There’s a bit of drama, but the story in its essence is incredibly sweet and full of passion. The Rough family are anything but. They’re a rambunctious bunch, but they’re incredibly supportive, loving and friendly. And I loved their family circus and what came out of that. It really was the best show on earth! I’m also hoping that Rough and Tumble comes into fruition! I already can’t wait for Rye’s story next! I give this book four and a half abracadabra stars.

In this book we get introduced to the town of Home and the Rough family of 5 boys and 2 girls and their adorable niece Plum. This is Bartlett and Abby's story they meet when she thinks that he's stealing her dog not knowing that his niece found her dog in the street so they rescued it. They exchange words but when Bartlett realizes that she's hurt and he hears what happened to her he invites her to dinner. Abby who's real name is Abracadabra has run away from her circus family who are trying to force her to marry a man that she has no interest in her father wouldn't listen so she had to leave. She remembered being in the town of Home before and how much she liked it so she gets on a train and goes there. She's attacked at the train station when she arrives which leads to her being slashed with a knife requiring 6 stitches. She then meets Bartlett and after the misunderstanding about her dog she goes with him to dinner with his family. They have an instant intense connection and after a wonderful evening with his family he brings her back to the hotel where she's informed of the no pet policy. Bartlett offers her the extra room in his cabin so she goes home with him where they talk about their childhoods and grow closer to each other. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sweet insta-love story to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book.

'Rough and Tumble' by Frankie Love is the first book in her new series Coming Home to the Mountain and tells of Bartlett Rough, who owns the hardware store, and Abby, who came to Home as it was a happy place for her. Bartlett has lived in the mountain town of Home for his entire life and raised his six brothers and sisters in their hometown. Abby has run away from her family who works in the circus because she does not want to be forced into a marriage with a man she has no respect or love for. She decided to leave and go to one of the happiest places that she remembers, a town called Home. She has nothing to her name but her dog, Hijinx, and when she's leaving the train she gets hurt and needs stitches. Bartlett sees her stumbling and offers her some help. After getting her stitched up he brings her home for a hot meal and then to the hotel. However the hotel has a no pet policy. Bartlett offers his guestroom for Abby until she can find other accommodations, if she wants. He hopes she doesn't. What will the two do about their mutual attraction?

Ms. Love never disappoints. She has kicked off her new series with a charming story.
Though this book is short it is well written with great characters, witty dialogue, and an interesting plot. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a quick but satisfying read with their glass of wine.

Hey Peeps!

Got a new little sweet read thats a series to tell you about...

Bartlett is our hot mountain man with a heart of gold and is looking for his perfection in the NOW.
He has loving family of 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is the second oldest.

Our heroine is Abby. She arrives in Home after escaping her family that has held her against her will and wants her to marry a man she doesn't want nor love.

Abbi have visited Home when she was 10 and Bartlett was 14, they have a cute meet 10 years later bonding instantly over a shared memories of the circus.

I absolutely enjoyed this short entertaining tale of a small town I insta love with a huge loving family and.everyone knows everyone vibe.

Seriously my only complaints are...
#1) it was to short !!!!
I wanted more! I hope as the series continues we will get glimpse into how Abbi and Bartlett's marriage is progressing.
#2)The whole virgin and not been with anyone in years...
As an older reader, virginity flew the coop some 30 years ago and the population has gotten out of hand now with having sex at a much younger age. Speaking from experience, it's only the ones previewed as not attractive or have become over weight that are celibate.

On that note, I'm still going to recommend reading. I know that I'm continuing the series.

Hope we can cart about this...

The town of Home, Washington was started by the Rough family, the descendants of which still live there. Bartlett is the second oldest in his family and owns the hardware store. His father runs a construction company with his oldest son Rye. Each of the kids (7 plus 1 niece) all have food names. Abby comes to Home after running from her family looking for a fresh start, remembering Home from when her family passed through when she was a kid. Abby is mugged when she gets off the train and her blind dog gets separated from her. Bartlett and his niece, Plum, find the dog and bring him in the hardware store. Abby sees him and yells that it’s her dog and give him back. Bart is instantly taken by Abby and offers her dinner at his parents and even to stay at his cabin since the B&B won’t let her stay with the dog. The two become close very fast but Abby is hesitant to tell Bart about her past and why she’s running. When her past catches up with her she is in danger but the Rough siblings come to her rescue. There is definitely a sad undertone to this story with Abby’s past but the interactions of the Rough family help keep the story light. Up next is Rye’s story where we find out why he is so serious and always grumpy and angry.

One thing you can always count on with a Frankie Love book is a romantic storyline with wonderful characters - especially her mountain men. Rough and Tumble is no exception. It is a well written heartfelt, delightful read with lots of family fun and humor. Bartlett Rough, the hero of the story, runs the local hardware store. He comes from a large loving family who are loud, fun and very protective of one another. As for Abby, the heroine of the story, she is visiting Home, a town she remembers as a child being quaint and welcoming, something she desperately needs as she is running away from her prior way of life and family. When Bartlett and Abby meet it’s like an instant connection. They can’t explain it but it just seems “perfect”. But trouble soon follows and Abby learns what it’s like to be part of a loving brood that protects what’s theirs.

I recommend grabbing up Rough and Tumble, getting comfy in your favorite reading spot and simply enjoying the read. You won’t be sorry you did.

This reader can’t wait to see what happens next in the Coming Home series.

Bartlett was born and raised in Home, a sweet mountain town with his siblings and runs the family Hardware store. Abby comes to town while trying to get away from her controlling family and (forced) soon to be fiancé. She runs into Bartlett while he is taking care of her little blind dog and she accuses Bart of trying to steal her dog. Abby has had one bad thing after another happen and when she try’s to check into the bed and breakfast the owner is highly allergic to dogs. Bartlett offers her a place to stay and takes her to Sunday family dinner where she meets and falls for his amazing family.

Abby has a hard time believing Bartlett feels something for her and that she is worthy of his love and attention, but when her past catches up with her Bart and his family are there for her and always will be.

This story and the characters are warm and wonderful and you really feel like you can see the town and townspeople while reading this story. I can’t wait for the next story in the family line. I recommend this book to everyone!

Bartlett has always lived in Home, never felt the need to leave, from a large family that still gets together every Sunday for dinner. He owns the hardware store in town has never found anyone that made his heart race, especially all the girls in town. When he niece finds a blind dog outside his shop, he bring him inside and takes care of after trying to get a hold of the owner. When the owner comes in accusing him of stealing her dog, he finds himself interested for the first time in a long time.

Abby came to Home, she remembered fondly when she visited it one time years ago. She is tired of traveling constantly, not feeling that her family cares what she wants.

This is in the first in the new Coming Home to the Mountain series about the Rough family and each of the children finding their one. This is a sweet and steamy story, these two have led very different lives and are just what the other needs.

Coming Home to the Mountain, a brand new series by the incomparable Frankie Love, kicks off in stellar fashion by making we want to move to Home and take up with one of the Rough brothers. Bartlett Rough, one of six kids, runs his family-owned hardware store, and his life is changed when a woman steps off the train in his small town with a blind pup named Hijinks. Bart is immediately drawn to Abby, and when he discovers that she was mugged and injured before even leaving the train station, he takes her in. Abby has never had a home - but she has fond memories of visiting the town of Home when she was little. Meeting Bart just emphasizes what she has never had but always longed for - and the swoon-worthy mountain man also manages to instantly steal her heart. Like every Frankie Love title, between the covers of Rough and Tumble you'll find filthy-sweet romance and characters you cannot help but want to meet and hang out with. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

There is so much to say about this book...

This book had that small town HOME-y feeling (get it hahaha), some funny and fruity puns, (hahaha I'm cracking myself up here), and and amazing storyline.

I would love to know how this author came up with this story. Did she come up with the characters and build the world around them, or have the world and name the characters last? Either way you look at it, the story flows effortlessly. That is what makes this book great. Yes, its an insta-love book and you have some angst at the beginning but you know that when you have insta-love books.

I love how Barlett and Abby (god I love her name name) have a real conversation in his home. This is what really had me go "Ok, this is a real book, its not just some made up book." The characters were put in real situations and their emotions were real.

I loved this book and will be reading more from this author!

Wow, this is an excellent story. Love the intro of the characters as they meet over her dog. Bartlett is from a large, loud, and very close family. Abby grew up in an always-traveling atmosphere and decided to leave when her father started to force her to marry. Remembering the town of Home when they passed through years ago, she heads for it, hoping to start a new life of good things. Instant connections for Bartlett and Abby pull them together as he offers her a place to stay. The characters are terrific, with great backstories and strong ideals of what they want in life. The storyline is full of family times, laughter, steam, reality of a future she never dreamed of, surprises, big decisions and much more. Loved their chemistry and the locale. Great ending with a promise of more of this group coming soon.
