Unpacking

Rate this book
Unpacking is a collection of poems showing the writer's journey through abuse, heartbreak, depression, and grief. It guides the reader through the process of finding identity, peace, and their voice through four sections titled Lost, Searching, Healing and Home. Unpacking is raw, honest, and thought-provoking; and speaks to many important truths that will help readers navigate life, love, and loss.

This book is Noelle's first poetry collection, and she hopes it will encourage readers to see the beauty in every stage of healing. Although the book starts out in a place of heartbreak and confusion, it finished in a place of love and peace. Noelle hopes to show that healing is messy, and the journey is not linear, but it is always worth pushing through in the end.

I read this so fast I didn’t even stop to add it to my “currently reading”.

“the promise of fall sets a chill through my
bones and the air is heavy with grief
anger is the backbone
for every interaction
and i cannot stand it

we are all so incredibly lost and alone” -pg 13

This was such a beautiful story told through poetry.

One of the most touching, raw poetry books

Some material may be triggering for people suffering with depression, but this was so passionately, beautifully written and I connected with all of it on a very personal level. - Highly recommend. ❤️

I thought this was a good book of poetry well written but nothing jumped out to me or spoke to my soul until towards the end. Now the last part of the book had me snapping pictures to save the poems! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I would recommend this to a friend or anyone really!

An excellent storyline through trauma that leads to healing and loving again. The poems are honest you can feel the pain (pain you might even relate to). I cried more than once and loved every second of it.

unpacking and engaging

Wanting hope, working through trauma, finding beauty as it comes, processing the hard edges of life. These themes are explored and vigorously worked much like a journal written in the medium of poetry. Sparkling insights speckle this work, it is paced well, and reads like a single work.
