Ten years ago, my four stepbrothers left without a backward glance. Now they've returned, and they're not looking at me like a little sister anymore.
When I was a shy, awkward teen, my stepbrothers were my world. As my protectors and my best friends, they provided an escape from the noisy drama of our parents’ tumultuous marriage.
My big brothers meant everything to me, and I thought I meant something to them. But they made it clear I didn’t when all four of them left town just after my 16th birthday without so much as a goodbye.
Now, after so much time has passed, they think they can simply show up and reinsert themselves into my life as if they never left. But I’ve changed, and I don’t need anyone to take care of me, especially them.
As two sets of twins, Barrett, Bronson, Lennox, and Lincoln have always drawn attention. In the years they’ve been away, the boys have turned into men — their bodies broader and their dark features sharper. They’re also a lot more stubborn than I remember.
Apparently they're rich, and they seem to think they can use their money to control me. The more I tell them to get lost, the more they come around.
One night, we push each other too far, and things between the five of us take a very unexpected turn. They see me as more than their little sister, and much as I try to deny it, I see them differently too.
But I can’t let myself want them. Our relationship is complicated, and there are a million reasons we shouldn’t be together. And how can my heart and mind trust four men who left me once before?

Definitely not the best book of Stephanie Brother😕 So, the four stepbrothers of Caroline, the FMC, left her when she was 16 without any explanations. During 10 years, she didn't get any news from them, nothing. Suddenly, the guys came back after Caroline's father death, hoping that everything would be fine...Really, guys?🧐🙄🤦🏻♀️ Their excuse? Caroline's father had kick them out after he heard a conversation between the guys about how Caroline's body was changing becoming a teenager...A bit lame...But still, it doesn't really explain their silence during 10 years...🧐 And of course, the guys are super rich and successful...too cliché. As usual, the FMC succumbs to the temptation way to easily. I hate weak women driving by their hormons🤦🏻♀️ No plot twist or a bit of suspense about a HEA... If you want to read a book of Stephanie Brother, don't choose this one. It's not very interesting.
I think this is probably one of my favourite stories from SB . It’s so good and really draws your attention. Not only is it steamy and full of passion and romance, it’s so entertaining and satisfying to read. It has a great storyline and some really brilliant characters. Great stuff!
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review
Four Steps is the fifth book in the Four series. It is sexy, spicy, chemistry, menage a trois, a reverse harem. Unfortunately, it is not as good as her other books, but it is an enjoyable read for a change of pace if you don't want anything heavy to read.
I'm excited to announce my new release, which goes back to my stepbrother roots. Only now there are four stepbrothers, because sometimes one just isn't enough!
This story has laughs, tears, plenty of steam, and a heart-warming holiday happy ending. I hope you enjoy!

4.5/5 STARS. So Caroline, Bronson, Barrett, Lennox, and Lincoln used to be step-siblings from her dads side and the boy’s moms side. They left unexpectedly when she was 16 and they return 10 years later and she’s mad but she wants them. BADLY. They try to talk to her but Caz is mad at them for leaving her so unexpectedly and they left because of her father. Her father told them to leave. Her father was a hardass on her and when she was 18 she left. When they returned all that hatred and hurt and feelings came rushing back when the boys returned. They bought the bar she works and they start ordering her around and telling her what to wear because of their jealousy but she teases them and they give in and all but devour her until the brim like take turns. When their aunt Michelle finds out Caz goes crazy and starts overthinking and saying we can’t do this even though the night before they professed their love for her and the next day she ran away from her problems instead of facing it. After a week of not talking they invite her to their moms, who is Rachel her stepmom. When she arrives they give her a ring to wear as a sign of their commitment and they confess their undying love for her. She freaks out about Rachel being there but Rachel has known for a while. They ask her to move in and she says yes and the pleasure party starts. In the epilogue she is an author and writes I think fantasy or ya romance. I wanted her to have kids but oh well. SMUT: 2 guys at once and the other 2 separately? COUNT ME IN. *DROPS PANTIES*
This was my first book by Stephanie Brother. It's less RH and more erotica; the plot is pretty thin and mostly there just to support the sex scenes. Caroline has four stepbrothers -- two sets of twins, one pair who are 4 years older and another 2 years older. They all up and left 10 years ago the moment the younger twins graduated from high school, without saying goodbye. She felt abandoned because they'd been like true brothers to her. Plus she'd had a difficult home life -- issues with a hypercritical father who yelled at her a lot -- so when the guys left, she'd felt alone and no longer had anyone to turn to for comfort or support. They'd never contacted her at all during the whole 10 years.
So they say they "had no choice" but to leave because her father kicked them out of the house and told them to leave. And they say they knew he monitored her phone, so they didn't want to message her. But they could have passed messages through their mom. It was a piss-poor excuse. And once Caroline graduated from high school and moved out from her father's house when she was 18, that excuse no longer held water.
Caroline never really holds them accountable. She's a very weak female character. I wanted to see them grovel and to prove themselves to her. But all they have to do is give her a few orgasms and "it feels so right" and boom, the past -- with all its pain and loneliness and anger -- is forgotten.
If this is a sample of Stephanie Brother's work, I don't think I'll read anything else from her. It's very skimpy on the relationship-building (non-existent, actually) and you feel zero emotions from the characters because all the emotions are told, not shown. Because she's rushing through those parts to get to the very detailed sex scenes. I know some people prefer the emphasis on smut, but I read romance for the feels.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "FOUR STEPS" This is my first book in the by Stephanie Brothers in "The Four Series" she did a terrific job writing this book full of emotional turmoil, intrigue, angst, betrayal, secrets, hurt, hot steamy scenes, you couldn't put down until finished. Caz was so angry with her brothers Barett, Bronson, Lennox & Lincoln leaving her yrs ago with no goodbye nothing like she never meant anything to them you could feel her hurt at what they did. Caz was at her father John Allen's funeral with her stepmom Rachel her sister Michelle & coworkers she didn't want to be there she wasn't close to her Dad then Four hot as sin guys walk stroll up her step brothers she hadn't seen or heard from in 10yrs she sneaks off not wanted to see them heads home. Caz works at Rusty's bar with Becca & Christine she bartends then Becca points out the Four on the second floor looking down at her she avoids them until a guy pulls her into his lap Lennox is there immediately grabs the guy then the London, Barrett & Bronson arrive she angry with them all tells them she can take of herself doesn't need or want anything from them. I definitely recommend to get this well written book with great characters so much happens with Caz & her 4 Steps you don't want miss getting this book to see how it all turns out I thoroughly enjoyed this book Stephanie Brother's never disappoints loved it.
Once again Stephanie Brother has brought another romance that pulls your heart strings and makes you feel good. I have been loving this series that has come to the pages of my kindle. In this story we have Caroline who felt abandoned by her stepbrothers when they left suddenly without saying goodbye. Now 10 years later they are back after her father has passed away. Caroline is angry with them and doesn’t want to see them.
Lennox, Lincoln, Barrett and Bronson have all returned back to the island where they intend to live after being in the military and setting up a business in New York city. There are lots of highs and lows and angry words spoken but eventually the men show Caroline how sorry they are for leaving the way they did. They told her that her father was the one that kicked them out of the house, there is a lot of soul-searching and coming to grips with I love that will never end. There is a happily ever after and also a lead up to another story. It can’t get better than this.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and review with my honest and fair opinion.
Love me a good Stephanie Brothers book and this one for sure got me out of my slump. Now I’m needing the next book 😂
Anyways, let me just say I loved this story line.
This does have some spoilers. So if you want to go into blind. Stop here and just know you will not be disappointed! 1 strong independent girl that’s been through out and 4 hot men who are also twins. Like give me 🔥🔥
Caz, aka Caroline, has been through a lot emotionally. With the most recent lost she os going through ends up bringing back 4 people she thought she’d never see again.
Bronson, Barrett, Lincoln, and Lennox have been away due to their step father. But now they are back and determined to get Caz back into their life.
Caz doesn’t allow people in and she figures she’s pushing them away and talks herself into trying until she hears someone else’s opinion and freaks out. Now worried she’s ruined their family…. She runs. Even though she would say she didn’t 😂
Eventually, after pushing and losing her in away— they get her back and walk away with their girl.
Seriously such a great book and can’t wait for the next one!!!
Wow!!! This series is just getting better and better with each book. I love how Caz was with these men. Lincoln, Lennox, Barrett, and Bronson left because they had no choice and i love how thwy came back. I understand the hurt Caz felt after they left and why she was so against them at first but then she feel in love with them all over again. I love how they brought Rusty and improve that to a better place. I love how Rachel was supportive no matter what and she didn't understand how they work but as all as they are happy that is fine with her. I love how Caz opened up and her character did a 180 by the time the book. I want more from these characters and I can't wait and hop I can see what happens with them in the next few books. I do miss all the characters from the other books so hope I will see what is going on with them in the rest of the series but this is such a fast pace read that I couldn't put down . Once again I did cry and laughed.

The writing is straightforward and blunt, a bit off-catching at first, but it works when the FMC is equally as direct and frank. It was refreshing to see an FMC that refused to bend to the MCs' whims. Unfortunately, the author randomly decides to have the FMC become attracted to the MCs, despite zero initial interest from the FMC. At that point, I have to question why I'm continuing. The MCs apologize twice (literally apologize, they only say sorry, no groveling here) and have no good excuse for their ten-year absence. There's no tension, no conflict, and the writing begins to feel more like a summary of events than an ongoing situation. I did enjoy the relationship between the FMC and her father. It's complex, but it's handled with a surprising amount of nuance. I wasn't interested in the romance so much, there wasn't any chemistry, and the MCs are very one-dimensional.
I enjoyed this book about Cax whose father had just died. She goes to the funeral where her 4 step brothers that she hadn't seen in 10 years arrive. They left abruptly 10 years ago and never said goodbye. She was very close to them and is very angry that they left like that. She is close to her step mother. Cax works 2 jobs to make ends meet. The 4 brothers are now quite wealthy and they want to help her however they can. They buy the bar where she works as a waitress which makes her angry. She ends up going home with them one night and has sex with all 4 brothers. So hot!! They want her to live with them. Brothers are real sweet. Will she move in?
I don't know why, but to me sharing a partner/ being intimate with someone with your sibling doesn't sound sexy. But this doubled the twin trope, but somehow made it palatable. Except one thing: body fluids. I find it very hard to believe that a guy wants to sleep with a girl who is full of another guys fluids, let alone go down on her. That is my only real stumbling block. There were some over the top moments, some eye roll drama, but overall I liked their chemistry. I do wish there was dual POV so I can understand why they decided they all wanted the same woman. But the writing kept me hooked.
I truly connected with the FMC and felt the majority of her emotions...she came across so well on the page and In fact at times I could see myself in her stubbornness... Although also loved her tenacity and fight
The men are definitely alpha orientated, protective and at times a little OTT...so much so sometimes drive you to distraction or make you ask questions out loud buuuuttt... Overall you cannot help but like them
The story was great and gave context...at times I would've preferred a little.more detail...but that could totally be me being greedy.
I was however sad that there was no confrontation between the aunt and the gang on Christmas. I would have loved to read about that.
Caz was hurt, and for good reason, and built a wall around her hurt. In come storming her 4 older step siblings that healed her so long ago. She wants nothing to do with them now. You know the saying though. The heart wants what the heart wants. Mentally speaking you know you shouldn't want them, but you can't change what you feel.
This was a very light hearted book and it had light tones. The steamy scenes were fire especially with the L twins. And the ending was perfect.
I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. Loved it!! Caroline’s four stepbrothers return home after her father’s funeral. Feeling like they abandoned her years ago, she hopes they are just passing through. Unfortunately, or fortunately, for her, the brothers are here to stay. Two sets of twins, Barrett and Bronson, Lennox and Lincoln, have loved Caroline (Caz) for years and they not be without her. Can convince her that their relationship of five can work? She will definitely enjoy their convincing.
I’m always amazed that every book that Stephanie Brother writes is original! They don’t resemble each other at all. Her imagination is endless with possibilities. This was a little emotional for me with the death of Caroline’s father and her stepbrothers coming back after 10 years. They left without a word and broke her heart 10 years ago so there is a lot of anger from her and groveling from them. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride and well worth it to get the HEA that they all deserved.
This is part of the Four series, and a stand alone book. Caz's step brothers left 10 years ago without so much as a goodbye, hurting Caz and the feelings she had for them. Flash forward to her father's funeral, when they show up. Trying to re-connect with Caz, they inform her that they are back and will be living on the same island. Through ups and downs the guys try to make up for the hurt they caused when they left. I really enjoyed this story and following how their relationship changed after they all re-united after all the time passed.
I have never before given one star. But there is always a time where you’ll do it for the first time. And I am not sorry.
I have never read a book without any plot such as this. I wanted to like it. I tried seeing its great sides. And couldn’t find them.
The idea is simple, but it needs more than that. The writing is okay, but it needs more than that. The characters are endurable, but it needs more than that.
I think I made myself clear. I am not even sure if I want to read the other books of this series/author…
It was ok, i just wished the plot and development were not rushed. But i expected it to be, because this was a very short story with a very few chapters. I don't think that this is my type of trope to read, i low-key got weirded out by the fact that they were step siblings and she takes all four of them. It's kind of weird for me haha. But it was low-key good ngl, and i love how accepting their mother is to their relationship and how her father got an ok redemption at the end, and cleared things up about her mother. But it was merely enough to clear things tbh.
When Caroline's dad remarried at a young age she grew up with four stepbrothers Barrett, Bronson, Lennox, and Lincoln, who she was really close with until one day they just up and left, leaving her behind. Now ten years later Caroline aka Caz is grown working two jobs and after tragedy strikes they are home with more than brotherly feelings. Can Caz forgive them? And what will happen when she crosses the line with them? Can they have a taboo relationship? Will there be a HEA?
This is another amazing read from Stephanie. I love the heroin how independent and sassy she is. I would of liked a bit more to the book it seemed a bit short I would of liked them to include more about them dealing with the issue of them leaving not just her forgiving them after a 10 minute chat but I still really enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one as smut loving reader i love her books and recommend to all smut lovers 😅
Wow! Another winner from Stephanie Brother. This is a well written book about Caz, who has felt abandoned by her Stepbrothers the last ten years and those four men: Barratt, Bronson, Lincoln and Lennox, who come back in to her life following her Dad’s death. She tries to push them away as feeling hurt and let down but slowly the barriers fall away. What ensues is a loving and steamy relationship between the five of them. A must read.
Caz hasn't seen her step brothers; Lincoln, Lennox, Bennett and Bronson in ten years. They left after her sixteenth birthday without so much as a goodbye. So when they show back up after her dad dies she gets angry with them when it seems like they are going to pretend they didn't just leave and not talk to her for ten years. Then guys want to take care of Caz and they have an explanation as to why they left they way they did but is Caz willing to forgive them?
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. And when Lennox, Barrett, Lincoln and Bronson left Caroline 10 years earlier without a word, her anger at them never had a chance to dissipate. Now back in her life, will she give them a chance to make amends? Will they be able to explain why they left so unexpectedly?
This is such a fantastic read and a great addition to the series! Stephanie always gives us a great taboo step brother story with such amazing characters! Very well written and an awesome storyline! So enjoyable and hard to put down! Highly recommend! Received arc and am voluntarily leaving an honest review
Maybe it’s because it’s the only book in this series that I’ve read but I wanted more story. It went by too quick. I didn’t get to know the brothers individually but damn it was all really hot. I’m loving the taboo. I love Stephanie’s writing though. Will go back and read all the others! About to start Beast Brothers!
I really like this book. It was an easy book to get into and finish in one afternoon. It could have been longer, but that's just me. I love Stephanie's books! Whenever a new book comes out I always put down what I'm currently reading to read her books.
