Luke Spencer grew up the hard way, moving from town to town in the west. At 34, he is a veteran of gold rush strikes and boomtowns from South Dakota to Colorado to New Mexico. While at the family ranch in Montana, he gets news of a possible gold strike in the Yukon. Angie Parker is left alone on the family farm in Washington when her parents pass away. She dreams of something more and drifts west to Seattle, where she gets word of the new town of Skagway in Alaska. The dreams and possibilities are too much to resist. Along with a hundred thousand others, they hear the siren call of the gold fields of the Klondike. The adventure begins…
Patrick Lindsay came to Texas by way of Missouri, Canada, and California and has been proud to call the Lone Star State his home for more than forty years now. He retired in 2017 from “another life” as a CPA, whereafter he turned his hand to writing.
He has read just about everything by Louis L’Amour and first decided to give Western writing a try on his initial day of retirement. He has been writing ever since and loves the idea that so many people get enjoyment from his work.
Patrick and his wife Michelle live on a cattle ranch near Fort Worth along with cows, horses, chickens, and a very spoiled Great Pyrenees dog. He is an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals in baseball and the Kansas City Chiefs in football.
Klondike Gamble: The Siren Call by Patrick Lindsay. It's a good clean book with a bit of a treasure hunt thrown in with the outlaws and the good guys. Loved the characters and the storyline.
This book is loosely based on the gold rush in the Yukon. There are crooks, fist fights, gun fights, and gold strikes. Well written. Highly recommended.
