Romance for the modern feminist
I have to admit that I devoured the book in one day- I didn’t have any desire to put it down. As a lover of romance novels, I’ve long wrestled with the stereotypical tropes of the power dynamic of a male leader and a female follower, so I loved seeing that thrown out the window. Devon and Leo have a different dynamic as colleagues which allowed the story to go to new places. You won’t find a damsel in distress here and I’m grateful for it! The steamy scenes were fun but the heart of the book is in telling a true love story about partnership. I can’t wait for the next one!

👉The cover is appealing and attractive as well.Writing style is quite appreciable .
Devon Lawlor is among the most powerful women in the city. She’s a successful CEO of Lawlor properties, who took over her father’s company and extended it to the empire that it became. Leo Jones is also a top brand manager, who was very good looking and very persuasive. He is known to be very popular among women. So, when Leo comes down to work for Lawlor Properties, he would never have imagined that he would find the women that he was always looking for here. And most of all, he never would have thought that, that women will turn out to be Devon, his new boss.The book is very well written around an interesting plot of a charming young man falling for a very fierce, strong and career-oriented woman. The story has love in all it’s forms. Be it between friends, family or lovers. Its fun and interesting and I am sure the readers will find themselves glued to the pages, just like I did.

This book was so good! Definitely not in my normal wheel house but was just the read I was looking for!
Boss starts off really great and you dive right into the characters and what’s going to be the main issues. Around chapter 7-9 I was getting impatient for what I was hoping to happen to finally come to fruition. When it did though I couldn’t put the book down! The plot twist while predictable was still so good and played out how I hoped it would. Love the characters and can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

This is Kelly's first novel and I was really impressed with the writing, character development and story line. I truly enjoyed reading this book and getting to know Devon and Leo. It took me a little bit to get into the characters, but I was drawn into the plot and I found myself really excited to where the plot was going to take them and what their journey was going to be like. It's book 1 in the Lawlor Properties book...so I can't wait to see where book 2 takes us!
