89 page, big fonts, a good book for lazy people. Coolmitra beautifully explains the maths of time that we waste 3190h per year. Tells to focus on your time stealers & energy consumption. The bio of dopamine that helps you in motivation. Set simple goals, break them down, take baby steps. Remember ‘death’ to create necessity. Remember the biggest killer is the waiting for perfect moment- which never comes. Read read & then apply. Written by a youngster for the youngsters. Very nice. Keep it up

Omg, such a book. Surprised that a 22-year-old guy wrote it.Very impressive.

It is straightforward to digest information and use it in real life. Unlike other self-help books, it is short-written and well-explained with exact & clear examples.

I read it twice. Planning to read it again. A very short book, and I would recommend carrying it wherever you go since it will remind you what to do when you feel lost or forget what you are doing.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

P.S. That'll be my second self-help book after "Four Agreements", that I'd never get tired of reading again.

आलास का मनोविज्ञान by मोहम्मद शकील is an excellent self-help book that tackles familiar challenges like procrastination, planning, and execution with refreshing practicality. The author's approach stands out for its grounded, actionable advice rather than theoretical abstractions. The emphasis on starting small and breaking tasks into manageable steps resonates throughout, making complex behavioral changes feel achievable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking concrete strategies to overcome inertia and build productive habits in everyday life.

The book was really interesting to read. It was very simple and I won’t say that these things mentioned in the book are something that we did not know already. But the book pointed out the mistakes very clear in front of us and very simple to read.

It not only pointed out the missing parts but also have steps by step help on how to overcome laziness which I liked most in this book.

While the subject matter is strong concept, the author does not do a great job of presenting his model. The book is poorly edited, and often talks circles around itself without getting to the point. I hope future editions are revisited because the concept is sound, it just needs to be communicated better.

Not bad. Some good nuggets and I interesting numbers. English language skills could use a bit of work, some lost impact due to challenges with grammar and usage. It would also be helpful to use endnotes to cover proper citations of studies so the reader can do a deeper dive.

Overall, the book was good, but it could have been more practical rather than just presenting general concepts. While the author discusses some of the main reasons for lacking motivation and experiencing laziness, he doesn't delve deeply enough into these issues. For instance, simply knowing that our brains produce dopamine won't help someone overcome procrastination. Similarly, stating that people should set goals and manage their time better won't motivate them to take action. Many readers are already aware that they need to set goals, live with purpose, and resist instant gratification. Therefore, for a book aimed at procrastinators, I believe it should provide more specific, actionable routines.

The Psychology of Laziness is a short book filled with great lessons which is written by a modern motivational speaker.
••••
This book offers you great knowledge of things . As the author says in the book that most people spend most of the year just thinking some of it is wasted in laziness and lack of energy and hardly active and productive for nearly 2-3 months with all their might. It doesn't matter how talented you are , what matters is how persistent you have been , if you have learned anything abd you don't make it a habit , you will surely forget it , but if you make it a habit , the pressure on you to keep it memorized vanishes. The author has mentioned in the book that trust , the brain system of yours , when life starts bringing those things for you that you had always wanted , you will start doing things that you had never imagined for yourself.
••
The vocabulary is used an easy one which was really easy to understand it and as it a short book of great motivation which you should or can just complete in a full day sitting.

.
However at someplaces, the topic is not completed understood and only example is given. Hence that must be taken care of next time.

Awesome book

It is so clear from the title of the book on which issue the book is written. This book, divided into 7 chapters, explains the complete science behind the laziness. It also teaches us the importance of time in our life. Topics like, Time Management, Time Consumption, Dopamine, Goals, 'Where to Start?, What to Start?, etc are discussed in this book in a very orderly manner.
The author is to be commended for writing such an important issue in such a simple language. Great perspective along with being fairly easy to read and understand.
